Overview
The ARRMA Flange Ball Bearing 10x15x4mm 2RS (2) Z-ARA620004 represents premium replacement bearing technology for serious RC enthusiasts across the UK. Whether you're running an ARRMA vehicle as your primary basher or competition machine, these high-quality rubber shielded ball bearings are essential maintenance components that keep your RC car UK-ready and performing at its peak. These precision-engineered bearings deliver the smooth, consistent rotation that separates a well-maintained RC model from one that's struggling with worn components.
Designed specifically as replacement parts for ARRMA RC vehicles, these flange ball bearings are manufactured to exacting standards that ensure they integrate seamlessly with your existing setup. The pack includes two bearings, giving you everything needed for a complete bearing swap on many common RC applications. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying casual off-road running or a dedicated competitor preparing for the next race, maintaining your bearings with genuine ARRMA components is the smart choice for reliability and longevity.
These rubber shielded bearings represent the commitment to quality that ARRMA is recognised for throughout the RC hobby community. The combination of precision ball-race construction with enhanced protective shielding means your investment in these replacement parts will pay dividends in extended component life and reduced maintenance intervals. For anyone serious about keeping their ready to run RC or competition machine in top condition, these bearings are an essential addition to your spares box.
Key Features
- Premium Ball-Raced Bearings — These bearings utilise precision ball-race construction which provides ultra-smooth operation in all conditions, whether you're running on dry dirt, wet grass, or muddy terrain that characterises RC bashing throughout the UK. The smooth rotation directly translates to better handling, improved acceleration responsiveness, and reduced mechanical drag on your drivetrain.
- Precision Manufactured Construction — Each bearing is precision manufactured to consistent tolerances, which means they achieve fast and easy fitting to your vehicle and ensure consistent servicing whenever replacements are needed. This engineering precision eliminates the frustration of poorly fitted bearings that can cause binding or excessive play in your RC model.
- Consistent Tolerance Specifications — Manufactured to strict tolerance standards, these bearings guarantee safe and secure assembly every time you install them. This consistency is critical for maintaining the structural integrity of your RC vehicle's drivetrain and suspension systems during high-speed running or competitive racing.
- High-Quality Rubber Shields — The integrated rubber shields provide enhanced protection against the elements, keeping dirt, water, and dust out of the bearing races whilst maintaining proper lubrication inside. This is particularly important for RC car UK owners who regularly encounter wet or muddy conditions where standard bearings would fail prematurely.
- Extended Maintenance Intervals — By keeping dirt, water, and dust out whilst preserving lubrication, these shielded bearings mean more time bashing and less time wrenching, allowing you to focus on enjoying your RC experience rather than constantly maintaining damaged components.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Flange Ball Bearing 10x15x4mm 2RS represents the intersection of precision engineering and practical performance requirements for modern RC vehicles. The 10mm inner diameter and 15mm outer diameter specifications position these bearings as versatile components suitable for various drive and suspension applications across ARRMA's product range. The 4mm thickness provides the structural support necessary for reliable operation under the rotational forces generated during acceleration, braking, and cornering in both ready to run RC and serious competition scenarios. The flange outer diameter of 16.5mm ensures proper seating and load distribution across the bearing assembly. The 2RS designation indicates that both sides of the bearing feature rubber seals, providing comprehensive protection against contamination from dust and moisture whilst maintaining the sealed lubrication film that ensures smooth operation. This design is particularly beneficial for UK RC enthusiasts who operate their vehicles in variable weather conditions where exposure to rain, mud, and grit is inevitable. The precision ball-race construction ensures minimal friction and maximum efficiency in power transmission, which is critical whether you're pushing a brushless RC vehicle to its performance limits or running a standard electric setup. These bearings are engineered to withstand the demanding requirements of modern RC racing whilst remaining accessible enough for routine maintenance and replacement as part of regular vehicle servicing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA vehicles use the 10x15x4mm flange ball bearing? — This bearing size is designed as a replacement component for various ARRMA RC models. If you're unsure whether this bearing fits your specific vehicle, we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting our expert team at RC Model Shop who can verify compatibility with your model.
- How often should I replace my RC bearings? — The lifespan of your bearings depends on usage frequency, running conditions, and maintenance practices. Regular inspection for smoothness and responsiveness is recommended, and bearings should be replaced whenever they show signs of roughness, grinding, or increased resistance to rotation. The rubber shields on these ARRMA bearings help extend their lifespan by protecting against contamination.
- Are these bearings suitable for wet weather RC running? — Yes, these bearings feature rubber shields designed specifically to keep water and mud out whilst maintaining proper lubrication. They're an excellent choice for UK RC enthusiasts who run in variable weather conditions. The 2RS designation confirms that both sides are sealed for maximum water resistance.
- Can I use these bearings as a replacement for standard bearings? — The flange design on these bearings makes them a specific application component. Before installing, verify that your vehicle is designed to use flange bearings rather than standard bearings, as the flange outer diameter of 16.5mm is a distinctive feature that may not be compatible with all mounting locations.
- How do I know if my bearings need replacement? — Signs of bearing wear include grinding or rough sensations when you rotate the bearing by hand, visible play or looseness, or increased resistance compared to new bearings. If you notice your RC vehicle handling differently or responding sluggishly, worn bearings might be the culprit and should be replaced with genuine ARRMA components.
- What is the difference between 2RS and open bearings? — The 2RS designation means rubber seals are fitted on both sides of the bearing. This provides superior protection against dirt, water, and dust compared to open bearings, making them ideal for the varied UK climate where RC vehicles encounter wet and muddy conditions regularly.
