Appliance Electronics UK Ltd - Frequently Asked questions

Are RC products waterproof?

Unless a manufacturer specifically states a product is waterproof or water-resistant, RC products should not be exposed to water. Damage from water ingress, corrosion or general environmental exposure isn't normally covered by warranty.

Can I return an RC product after fitting parts?

Generally, no. Once batteries, chargers, electronics, tyres, wheels, body shells, upgrades or spare parts have been fitted, installed, connected, soldered, charged or modified, the item may no longer qualify for a change-of-mind return. This doesn't affect your rights if the item is faulty.

Do RC products come ready to use?

Some RC products are supplied Ready-To-Run (RTR) and work straight out of the box. Others require batteries, a charger, a transmitter/receiver, or some assembly — check the product description for details.

Do you offer finance?

Yes, we offer finance on selected products through Novuna Consumer Finance, subject to status and approval.

Do you offer RC repairs?

Yes. Charges apply, and repair quotations can vary depending on the fault and the parts required.

Do you stock spare parts?

Yes — we stock a wide range of spare parts, upgrades, batteries, chargers and accessories for many leading RC brands.

How can I leave a review?

We'd love your feedback! You can leave a review on Google, Trustpilot, or any other review platform.

How can I place an order?

You can order securely through our website 24/7, contact our sales team by phone or email during business hours, or visit us in person at our store in Walsall.

How do I charge LiPo batteries safely?

Always use a charger designed for your battery type, charge on a non-flammable surface, and never leave batteries unattended while charging. We recommend using a fire-resistant charging bag or case. Never use a battery that's swollen, punctured or damaged.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary by product. Most RC products and smaller items dispatch same-day if ordered before 2pm, with delivery typically taking 1–3 working days depending on location, stock availability and service chosen. This applies to in-stock items.

What happens if some items in my order are in stock and others aren't?

We'll normally hold your whole order and dispatch everything together once every item is available. If you'd rather receive the in-stock items straight away, just let us know — we're happy to split the order, though an additional delivery charge may apply for the extra shipment. If we choose to split an order for our own operational reasons, there's no extra charge to you.

What if my parcel arrives damaged?

Let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, and hold onto all packaging. We may ask for photos of the item, packaging and courier label to help resolve it quickly.

What's your warranty process?

If you think a product's faulty, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue — photos or video help speed things up. We may need to inspect the item before agreeing a repair, replacement or refund.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver throughout the UK. For outlying areas such as the Scottish Isles and Northern Ireland, we can accept orders up to £120 in value, and we're unable to deliver spray paint cans or batteries to these areas, as these are sent via Royal Mail, who prohibit these items in the post. If you're in one of these areas and need a restricted item, please contact us to check your options, or visit our store in Walsall.
