Overview

The ARRMA CVD Driveshaft 94mm (2) is an essential spare part for any RC enthusiast in the UK who owns one of ARRMA's high-performance brushless RC models. Whether you're a weekend basher pushing your RC car to the limit or a serious competitor looking to maintain your vehicle at peak performance, this replacement driveshaft pack provides the durability and reliability you need. This is a genuine ARRMA component, precision-engineered to meet the exacting standards required for modern brushless RC cars and buggies.

Driveshafts are critical components in any RC vehicle, transmitting power from the motor to the wheels whilst accommodating the suspension's movement. Over time and with aggressive use, even the toughest driveshafts can wear or sustain damage from impacts and extreme driving conditions. Having a quality replacement like this ARRMA CVD Driveshaft ready in your RC toolbox means you can get back on the track or trail quickly, without waiting for parts to be shipped. The 94mm length makes this suitable for multiple ARRMA models across different scales, from 1/7 street speed machines to 1/8 buggies, ensuring you have the right part for your specific ready to run RC car or buggy.

ARRMA has engineered these driveshafts with precision manufacturing and ultra-tough materials that resist the punishing forces of high-speed running, whether on road, grass or rough terrain. Available throughout the UK from authorised RC retailers, this is the genuine article you need for proper fitment and long-lasting performance.

Key Features

  • Super-tough steel construction — The driveshaft is manufactured from high-quality steel that provides exceptional durability and resistance to failure under the intense loads generated by brushless motors and high-speed driving, whilst maintaining low rotating wear even after extended use.
  • Precision manufactured dog bone pins — These carefully engineered pins allow the driveshaft to articulate smoothly in all driving conditions, maintaining consistent power delivery whether you're accelerating on a smooth surface or navigating rough terrain in your RC buggy.
  • CVD coupling technology — The constant velocity differential coupling has been precision engineered to deliver ultra-smooth power transfer from the motor to the wheels, reducing drivetrain vibration and noise whilst minimising maintenance requirements compared to older solid shaft designs.
  • Low-maintenance design — Unlike some driveshaft systems that require frequent servicing, this CVD unit is engineered for reliability with minimal upkeep, so you can spend more time driving your RC model and less time maintaining it.
  • Pack of two shafts — This kit includes 2 x 94mm CVD driveshafts, giving you a replacement set for both front and rear axles, or spare shafts to keep in your toolbox for quick repairs out on the track or trail.

Technical Performance

This 94mm CVD driveshaft represents the culmination of ARRMA's engineering expertise in drivetrain design for brushless RC vehicles. The constant velocity joint design eliminates the power loss and vibration associated with older dogbone or solid shaft arrangements, allowing brushless motors to deliver their full power potential efficiently to the wheels. The super-tough steel material has been selected specifically for its balance of strength and weight, ensuring the shaft can handle the high torque outputs from modern brushless ESC systems whilst remaining light enough to maintain optimal handling characteristics. Precision manufacturing tolerances ensure that each shaft fits perfectly within ARRMA's transmission housings, eliminating play and reducing noise. The dog bone pins are manufactured to exacting specifications, allowing the driveshaft to articulate through the full range of suspension travel without binding or causing uneven wear. Whether you're running a 1/7 street speed machine like the LIMITLESS or INFRACTION, a high-speed 1/8 buggy like the TYPHON, or the extreme-performance FELONY, this driveshaft has been engineered to handle the demands of brushless RC driving. The CVD coupling technology is particularly beneficial in modern RC applications where motor power has increased significantly, as it allows smoother engagement and power delivery compared to traditional designs, ultimately extending the lifespan of your entire drivetrain system.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA models are compatible with the 94mm CVD driveshaft? — This driveshaft is compatible with multiple ARRMA RC models including the 1/7 FELONY 6S, 1/7 INFRACTION 6S, 1/7 LIMITLESS 6S, 1/7 LIMITLESS 8S, and the 1/8 TYPHON 6S buggy, covering brushless 4WD vehicles from 1/8 to 1/7 scale.
  • When should I replace my driveshafts? — You should replace your driveshafts if you notice clunking sounds from the drivetrain, visible damage to the shaft or joints, lack of power transmission, or if the shaft has become bent or twisted. Regular inspection of your driveshafts, particularly after crashes or aggressive driving sessions, will help you catch wear early.
  • Why choose CVD driveshafts over solid shafts? — CVD (constant velocity differential) driveshafts offer superior performance compared to solid shaft designs because they allow for smooth power transfer at any suspension angle, reduce vibration and noise, and ultimately provide better handling and longer component lifespan. For modern brushless RC cars, CVD shafts are the standard for optimal performance.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are authentic ARRMA driveshafts manufactured to the brand's quality standards. They carry the official ARRMA part number AR310455, ensuring you receive the exact component designed for your RC vehicle.
  • How often do I need to maintain these driveshafts? — One of the key benefits of ARRMA's CVD driveshaft design is the low-maintenance approach. Minimal servicing is required; simply inspect the shafts for damage before each driving session and clean them if mud or dirt accumulation is visible.
  • What's the difference between the 94mm and other driveshaft lengths? — ARRMA manufactures driveshafts in different lengths to suit various models and scales. The 94mm length is specifically engineered for compatibility with the vehicles listed above; using an incorrect length could result in poor fitment and drivetrain problems.
