Overview
The Corally Diff Syrup Ultra Pure Silicone 12500 CPS is a premium differential oil specifically engineered for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision tuning and consistent performance. Whether you're setting up a new RC buggy, adjusting an existing 4WD crawler, or fine-tuning your competition RC car, this 60ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone oil offers the exact viscosity control you need to achieve optimal handling characteristics. Manufactured and bottled in Europe to the highest standards, this differential syrup is the choice of serious RC hobbyists who understand that differential performance directly impacts cornering speed, stability, and overall drivability.
Differential oils are one of the most critical tuning elements in modern RC cars. The viscosity you select determines how freely the differential can operate under acceleration and cornering, directly affecting how your RC vehicle responds to throttle input and maintains traction through corners. The 12500 CPS viscosity rating positions this oil in the medium-thick range, making it ideal for general purpose use and a reliable starting point for most RC cars and trucks. Corally's reputation for quality and consistency means you can trust batch-to-batch reliability, ensuring your tuning setup remains consistent even when you need to refill your differential.
This is not a generic oil; it's a specialised RC product designed with the precision requirements of competitive and recreational RC enthusiasts in mind. Whether you're upgrading your RC car setup or replacing worn differential oil, choosing the correct viscosity is essential for maximising your vehicle's potential on the track, in the garden, or anywhere you take your RC hobby.
Key Features
- Ultra Pure Silicone Formulation — Manufactured from 100% pure silicone oil, this differential syrup delivers consistent viscosity and superior thermal stability, ensuring reliable performance across varying temperature conditions which is essential for outdoor RC driving in the UK's changeable climate.
- Rheometer Calibrated — Each production batch is individually calibrated using a rheometer to ensure the highest possible consistency and quality from batch to batch, meaning you can confidently reorder knowing your replacement oil will perform identically to your previous purchase.
- Industry Standard CPS Rating — The viscosity is precisely measured and rated in CPS (centipoise) values, which are the industry-proven standard for silicone oils, allowing you to make accurate comparisons with other differential oils and fine-tune your RC car's performance with confidence.
- Drop by Drop Flip Top Cap — The innovative flip top cap design allows controlled dispensing of the oil drop by drop, preventing waste and enabling precise application into your RC car's differential unit without spilling or mess.
- Viscosity Indication Label on Cap — A printed label on the flip top cap clearly indicates the CPS grade (12500), making it impossible to confuse this oil with other viscosities in your RC workshop or pit bag.
- Temperature Stable Performance — The silicone formulation maintains consistent viscosity across a wide temperature range, ensuring your differential performs predictably whether you're racing on a hot summer's day or during cooler UK weather conditions.
- 60ml Content — The 60ml bottle provides sufficient volume for multiple differential refills and adjustments, offering excellent value for money and ensuring you have backup supplies for ongoing maintenance and tuning experiments.
- European Manufacturing Standards — Produced and bottled in Europe, this product meets strict quality control standards and undergoes rigorous testing before reaching your hands, guaranteeing a professional-grade product for serious RC enthusiasts.
Technical Performance
The Corally Diff Syrup 12500 CPS represents the pinnacle of differential oil engineering for RC cars. At 12500 centistokes (cSt), this medium-thick viscosity oil sits perfectly in the middle of the available range, making it an excellent starting point for general purpose RC driving and a reliable baseline for beginners and experienced RC car builders alike. The ultra-pure silicone base ensures thermal stability, meaning the oil won't thin excessively in hot conditions or thicken dangerously when temperatures drop—a critical consideration for UK RC enthusiasts who may be driving outdoors across all seasons. The rheometer calibration process guarantees that every bottle you purchase will have identical viscosity characteristics, eliminating batch-to-batch variation that can compromise your tuning efforts. Unlike generic oils, this product is specifically formulated for RC differentials where precision matters; even small viscosity variations can noticeably affect how your RC buggy, truck, or crawler handles under load. The pure silicone formulation also resists oxidation and degradation better than mineral oils, meaning your differential will maintain consistent performance over extended use. For 4WD RC cars, 6WD RC crawlers, and other precision RC vehicles, choosing the correct differential oil viscosity is as important as selecting quality bearings or suspension components—it directly influences traction control, acceleration response, and cornering stability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity is this differential oil and how do I know if it's right for my RC car? — This is a 12500 CPS (centistokes) differential oil, which represents a medium-thick viscosity suitable for most general purpose RC driving. Corally offers a complete range from thin 3000 CPS up to super thick 100000 CPS with numerous stages in between, so if you find your RC car is too loose or too tight in the differential, you can adjust to a thinner or thicker oil accordingly. The 12500 CPS grade is an excellent starting point and widely compatible with 4WD buggies, trucks, crawlers, and other RC vehicles.
- How does differential oil affect RC car performance? — Differential oil viscosity directly controls how freely the differential can operate during acceleration and cornering. Thinner oils (lower CPS) allow faster differential action, which can improve traction and acceleration but may feel loose in corners. Thicker oils (higher CPS) restrict differential operation, providing more stable handling and better cornering control but potentially limiting acceleration response. The 12500 CPS medium-thick rating balances these characteristics for most driving scenarios.
- Is the manufacturing batch-to-batch quality consistent? — Yes, absolutely. Corally uses rheometer calibration on every production batch to ensure the highest possible consistency, meaning each bottle of 12500 CPS oil you purchase will have identical viscosity characteristics to your previous purchases, making your RC car's differential performance completely reliable and predictable.
- Can I use this oil in any RC car differential? — This ultra-pure silicone oil is designed for RC car differentials across all scales and types, including 1/10 scale buggies and trucks, 1/8 scale competition vehicles, and larger RC crawlers. Always consult your RC car's instruction manual to confirm recommended differential oil viscosity, but the 12500 CPS grade is widely suitable for general purpose use.
- What makes this different from standard or generic differential oils? — Corally's Diff Syrup oils are 100% pure silicone formulations that are individually rheometer calibrated for consistency, manufactured and bottled in Europe to strict quality standards, and specifically engineered for precision RC applications. Generic oils may have variable viscosity from batch to batch and lack the thermal stability required for demanding RC use.
- How long will a 60ml bottle last? — A single 60ml bottle contains enough oil for multiple differential refills and adjustments. The amount needed per refill depends on your RC car's differential capacity, but most 1/10 scale vehicles require only 5-10ml per differential, meaning one bottle can support multiple refills and extensive tuning experiments.
