Key Features
- Special Hardened Steel Construction — The pinion is manufactured from special hardened steel that delivers exceptional toughness and durability, ensuring your gear can withstand the extreme forces generated during acceleration, cornering and aggressive RC driving without stripping, cracking or prematurely wearing out.
- CNC Cut Teeth with Perfect Concentricity — Every tooth is precisely cut using advanced CNC machinery with ultra-precise tooth shaping that ensures perfect tooth profile and ultra-true running, which eliminates vibration and noise during operation and delivers the smooth, efficient power delivery that competition drivers demand.
- Ultra-Precise Tolerances — Team Corally maintains exacting manufacturing tolerances during production, assuring unparalleled concentricity and perfect meshing with your corresponding spur gear, which translates to less drag, improved efficiency and longer component lifespan.
- Module M0.6 Specification — The M0.6 module designation means this pinion is compatible with all RC cars designed to use M0.6 gears, including popular Tamiya models, giving you flexibility in your RC car choice and upgrade options.
- 29-Tooth Configuration — The 29T tooth count provides a specific gear ratio that balances acceleration and top speed, allowing you to tune your RC car's performance to suit your driving style and track conditions.
- 3.17mm Motor Shaft Compatibility — Designed specifically to fit 3.17mm diameter motor shafts, this pinion is compatible with a wide range of RC motors commonly used in Tamiya vehicles and other RC cars using this standard shaft size.
- Easy Identification Marking — Each pinion is clearly marked with the tooth number for quick and easy identification, saving you time when selecting the correct gear for your setup and helping you stay organised with your RC parts collection.
- European Manufacturing Quality — Made in Europe using rigorous quality control processes, this pinion represents the high manufacturing standards that have made Team Corally a trusted name in RC motorsport worldwide.
Technical Performance
The Corally M0.6 Pinion delivers exceptional technical performance across every metric that matters to serious RC drivers. With a gear pitch specification of MOD 0.6 and 29 teeth, this component is engineered to integrate seamlessly into M0.6 gearing systems, making it ideal for RC enthusiasts running Tamiya vehicles or any RC car platform that utilises this standard modular sizing. The hardened steel material provides superior strength compared to standard steel alternatives, allowing the pinion to handle higher torque loads and maintain its tooth profile even under extreme racing conditions. The CNC-cut tooth design ensures absolute precision in tooth geometry, which is critical for minimising backlash, reducing noise, and maximising power transmission efficiency from motor to drivetrain. At 4.00mm teeth width and 9.00mm gear length, this is a short-format pinion optimised for compact motor mounting arrangements. The 3.17mm motor shaft diameter fits standard RC motors commonly found in UK RC car setups, whilst the 1.5mm hex key size for installation indicates a robust, user-friendly mounting system. The concentricity achieved through precision manufacturing means your RC car will run with virtually no vibration, resulting in better handling, improved traction and faster lap times whether you're racing competitively or enjoying recreational RC driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What RC cars is this pinion compatible with? — The Corally M0.6 Pinion is compatible with all RC cars designed to use M0.6 module gears, including Tamiya vehicles and other brands that adopt this standard modular gearing specification. You'll need to confirm your RC car uses M0.6 gearing and has a motor with a 3.17mm shaft diameter before purchasing.
- What does the 29-tooth count mean for my RC car's performance? — The 29-tooth pinion configuration determines your vehicle's gear ratio when paired with a specific spur gear. More teeth on the pinion generally favour acceleration over top speed, whilst fewer teeth favour speed over acceleration. The 29T option provides a balanced middle ground that works well for many driving situations across varied UK track layouts.
- Why is hardened steel better than standard steel for RC gears? — Hardened steel offers significantly greater durability and resistance to wear compared to standard steel. This means your pinion will maintain its tooth profile longer, resist stripping or cracking under high-torque situations, and ultimately provide a longer service life, making it a better value investment for serious RC drivers.
- How does CNC tooth cutting improve performance? — CNC-cut teeth guarantee precise tooth geometry with minimal variation, which reduces backlash (the space between meshing teeth), minimises vibration, eliminates noise, and improves power transmission efficiency. This translates directly to smoother acceleration, better handling and improved overall RC car performance on any UK track.
- What is concentricity and why does it matter? — Concentricity refers to how perfectly the teeth are centred on the gear. Precise concentricity means the pinion runs perfectly true with no wobble, which is essential for smooth, vibration-free operation and proper meshing with your spur gear. Team Corally's precision manufacturing delivers unparalleled concentricity.
- Is this pinion suitable for beginners? — Yes, this pinion is suitable for RC drivers of all experience levels. Whether you're new to RC cars or a seasoned competitor, upgrading to a quality Corally pinion is an excellent way to improve your vehicle's performance and durability. Installation simply requires a 1.5mm hex key.
- How do I install this pinion on my RC car? — Installation involves removing your motor assembly, taking off the existing pinion, sliding the new Corally pinion onto your motor's 3.17mm shaft, and securing it with the appropriate set screw using a 1.5mm hex key. Always consult your RC car's manual for specific installation procedures and torque specifications.
- Can I use this pinion with different spur gear sizes? — Yes, this 29T pinion will work with any M0.6 spur gear. Different spur gear tooth counts will change your overall gear ratio, allowing you to customise your RC car's performance. Common spur gear options range from 60T to 90T teeth, giving you flexibility in tuning.
