Overview

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 350 CPS is a premium suspension maintenance fluid specifically formulated for RC car enthusiasts in the UK who demand the best performance from their shock absorbers. Whether you're running a competitive race setup, a weekend basher, or a precision-tuned RC buggy, having the correct shock oil viscosity is absolutely critical to achieving consistent handling characteristics and optimal suspension performance. This 150ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone oil represents professional-grade fluid that serious RC competitors and hobbyists rely upon to keep their suspension systems performing at their peak.

Shock oil is one of the most frequently overlooked yet vitally important consumables in RC car maintenance. As your shock absorbers compress and extend through countless cycles during driving, the silicone oil inside gradually degrades, becomes contaminated with microscopic dust particles, and loses its ability to provide consistent damping. By regularly replacing or refreshing your shock oil with Corally's ultra-pure formulation, you ensure that your suspension maintains its designed characteristics, your handling remains predictable, and your lap times stay competitive. This product is essential for anyone serious about RC car performance, from 1/10 scale buggy racers to monster truck enthusiasts looking to dial in their suspension perfectly.

Available now at RC Model Shop, this Corally shock oil has been chosen by professional RC teams and serious hobbyists across the UK because of its exceptional purity, consistent viscosity, and proven performance in demanding racing conditions. Whether you're preparing your RC car for competition or simply want to maintain your suspension system to factory specifications, this ultra-pure silicone oil is an indispensable part of your RC car maintenance kit.

Key Features

  • Ultra Pure Silicone Formula — This shock oil is manufactured from 100% pure silicone, which means it contains absolutely no contaminants, additives, or impurities that could interfere with your suspension's performance or cause unpredictable damping characteristics. Pure silicone oil provides superior stability across temperature ranges and maintains consistent viscosity whether you're racing in winter conditions or during hot summer events across the UK.
  • 350 CPS Viscosity Rating — The 350 cSt (centistokes) viscosity marking indicates this is a medium-weight shock oil designed for general-purpose RC car suspension applications. This viscosity provides an ideal balance between responsiveness and damping stability, making it suitable for a wide range of RC vehicles including buggies, trucks, and touring cars. The 350 cSt rating is one of the most popular viscosity grades amongst UK RC competitors because it works effectively across typical driving conditions.
  • 150ml Generous Bottle Size — Each bottle contains 150 millilitres of shock oil, providing enough fluid to completely refill multiple shock absorbers or maintain your suspension system over an entire racing season. The larger bottle size represents better value compared to smaller packages and ensures you always have shock oil on hand when you need it, whether you're at the track, at home, or at an RC racing event in the UK.
  • Professional-Grade Quality — Manufactured by Team Corally, a brand recognised throughout the world for precision RC components and consumables, this shock oil meets the exacting standards demanded by professional RC racing teams. The same oil used by competition drivers in international RC championships is now available to serious hobbyists and weekend racers through RC Model Shop.
  • Temperature Stable Performance — Silicone oil maintains consistent viscosity across a wide range of operating temperatures, which is crucial because shock absorbers heat up significantly during driving and can cool down between races or practice sessions. This temperature stability ensures your suspension performs predictably whether conditions change throughout a racing day or between seasonal UK weather variations.
  • Compatible with Standard RC Shock Absorbers — This shock oil works with virtually all standard RC car shock absorbers used in 1/10, 1/8, and larger scale vehicles. Whether you're running Team Associated, HB Racing, Kyosho, Serpent, Xray, TLR Racing or other quality RC brands, this Corally shock oil will work perfectly in your suspension system.

Technical Performance

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 350 CPS represents the pinnacle of suspension fluid engineering for RC cars. At 350 cSt viscosity, this oil provides the ideal molecular flow rate that allows shock pistons to move smoothly through their travel whilst still providing sufficient resistance to prevent harsh bottoming out or excessive rebound. The ultra-pure silicone formulation means there are no synthetic additives, mineral contaminants, or impurities that could build up in your shock absorbers over time and cause inconsistent damping behaviour. Professional RC racing teams across Europe, including competitors in the UK, specify this exact viscosity and purity level because shock oil quality directly impacts lap time consistency, handling predictability, and the ability to make precise tuning adjustments. When you refresh your shock oil regularly with Corally's ultra-pure formula, you're restoring your suspension system to its original performance characteristics and ensuring that any tuning changes you make on the track or at the workbench produce the expected results. The 150ml bottle size makes it practical to replace shock oil frequently rather than running degraded fluid for months, which is the mark of a serious RC competitor committed to maximum performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is shock oil and why do I need to replace it regularly? — Shock oil is the silicone fluid inside your RC car's shock absorbers that provides damping (resistance to movement). Over time, dust particles, moisture, and contamination from driving infiltrate the shock, and the oil degrades, causing inconsistent suspension performance. Replacing the oil every few months or at the start of each racing season ensures your shocks perform exactly as the manufacturer designed them and restores predictable handling characteristics to your RC car.
  • What does the 350 CPS viscosity rating mean? — CPS (centipoise) or cSt (centistokes) measures how thick the oil is. 350 cSt means this is a medium-weight shock oil that flows relatively freely but still provides solid damping. Lower viscosity oils (like 200 cSt) feel softer and respond faster, whilst higher viscosity oils (like 500 cSt) feel stiffer. The 350 cSt grade is the most versatile choice for general RC car use and is suitable for buggies, trucks, and touring cars.
  • How much shock oil does my RC car need? — Most standard RC shock absorbers hold between 5-15ml of oil depending on the design. A 150ml bottle will completely refill multiple shocks many times over, making it excellent value. You might refill all four shocks on your RC car, then have plenty left over for future maintenance sessions or to maintain a backup vehicle.
  • Is this shock oil suitable for all RC vehicles? — Yes, this 350 cSt Corally shock oil is suitable for virtually all standard RC car shock absorbers used in 1/10, 1/8, and larger scale vehicles from brands like Team Associated, Kyosho, HB Racing, TLR Racing, Serpent, and Xray. If you're unsure about your specific vehicle, check your owner's manual or contact RC Model Shop for advice.
  • How do I know if my shock oil needs replacing? — If your shock oil appears cloudy, discoloured, or contains visible dust particles, it definitely needs replacing. Even if the oil looks clear, if your suspension performance has become inconsistent or unpredictable, fresh shock oil often restores normal behaviour. Many serious RC racers replace their shock oil every few months or at the start of each season regardless of condition, simply to maintain peak performance.
  • Will this Corally shock oil work better than budget alternatives? — Absolutely. Ultra-pure silicone oil from a premium brand like Corally provides superior consistency, stability, and damping characteristics compared to cheaper alternatives that may contain impurities or lower-grade silicone. Professional race teams specifically choose this grade because it delivers measurably better lap time consistency and more precise tuning control compared to budget shock oils.
