Overview

The Team Associated RC10B7 FT HRC Rear Hubs -4 Offset in Blue Aluminium represent a premium upgrade component designed for serious RC enthusiasts and competitive racers across the UK. These Factory Team (FT) specification rear hubs are engineered to enhance the performance and handling characteristics of your RC10B7 platform, whether you're running the RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10B84, RC10B84D, RC10T7, or RC10SC7 models. As a dedicated spares and upgrades component, these hubs allow you to fine-tune your buggy's geometry and suspension setup to achieve optimal cornering stability and predictable handling on any racing surface.

Manufactured by Team Associated, a globally recognised leader in competitive 1/10-scale RC buggy engineering, these rear hubs feature a -4 offset configuration that positions the wheel further inward on the axle. This offset adjustment is critical for adjusting your vehicle's track width and roll centre height, allowing competitors to dial in the perfect setup for their specific racing conditions. Whether you're competing at your local RC track, participating in national championships, or simply looking to upgrade your RC car UK with genuine Factory Team components, these blue aluminium hubs deliver the precision and durability expected from Team Associated's premium product line.

Available now from RC Model Shop, an authorised Team Associated retailer based in Walsall, these hubs come in an attractive blue aluminium finish that complements modern RC buggy aesthetics whilst maintaining the structural integrity required for serious racing. The HRC (High Roll Centre) designation indicates these are specifically designed for setups requiring elevated roll centre geometry, making them an essential upgrade for drivers optimising their suspension characteristics.

Key Features

  • Factory Team (FT) Specification — These are genuine Team Associated Factory Team components, representing the same quality and precision engineering used in professional racing applications, ensuring reliability and performance in competition environments.
  • HRC (High Roll Centre) Design — The HRC designation indicates these hubs are engineered for high roll centre setups, which provide enhanced stability during cornering and improved predictability for drivers seeking more responsive handling characteristics.
  • Blue Aluminium Construction — Manufactured from lightweight yet durable aluminium alloy, these hubs combine exceptional strength-to-weight ratio with corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal, maintaining their appearance through intensive racing and practice sessions.
  • Wide Platform Compatibility — These hubs are designed to fit multiple RC10 platform variants including the RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10B84, RC10B84D, RC10T7, and RC10SC7, making them a versatile upgrade suitable for various Team Associated buggy configurations.
  • Precision Engineering — Each hub is manufactured to exacting tolerances ensuring consistent performance across all units, eliminating variance that could negatively impact handling balance and predictability during racing.
  • Competitive Racing Focus — Engineered specifically for competitive racing environments where geometry optimisation and handling precision are paramount, these hubs support the level of performance tuning required at serious RC racing events.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated RC10B7 FT HRC Rear Hubs represent cutting-edge rear suspension geometry components designed for the highly competitive 1/10-scale electric RC buggy racing category. The -4 offset specification is a critical suspension adjustment tool that allows experienced builders and setup specialists to modify their vehicle's track width and roll centre characteristics without requiring comprehensive suspension arm or geometry changes. In the context of the RC10B84 platform, which features molded height-adjustable gearboxes front and rear with additional +2 rear gearbox options for high-grip conditions, these rear hubs integrate seamlessly into fully optimised drivetrains. The RC10 series incorporates long-arm suspension geometry engineered to improve grip and predictability across all track conditions, and these rear hubs play a crucial role in fine-tuning that geometry. Team Associated includes standard and HRC rear hub options within their RC10B84D Classic specification, with insert-adjustable caster blocks offering 0, +/-1, and +/-2 degree options, highlighting the importance of rear hub offset selection in achieving competitive advantage. The blue aluminium construction delivers the strength necessary for durability in racing environments whilst maintaining the lightweight characteristics essential for responsive handling in a 1/10-scale buggy platform. The HRC designation indicates optimisation for setups requiring elevated roll centres, which enhance cornering stability and provide drivers with more predictable vehicle response through turns. These hubs are compatible with the complete RC10 ecosystem, including front and rear suspension arms, CVA driveline components, and the various gearbox configurations that define modern Team Associated competition buggies. Quality assurance in Team Associated Factory Team components ensures consistent performance, with each hub manufactured to precise tolerances that maintain the geometric accuracy required for racing success.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the -4 offset mean on these RC10B7 rear hubs? — The -4 offset indicates that these hubs position the wheel 4mm further inward (toward the centreline of the vehicle) compared to standard hubs. This adjustment allows you to reduce your overall track width and modify your vehicle's roll centre height, which directly impacts how your RC buggy handles during cornering. For competitive racers tuning their RC car UK setups, this offset provides a tool for optimising suspension geometry without replacing entire suspension arms.
  • Why are HRC (High Roll Centre) hubs different from standard hubs? — HRC hubs are designed specifically for setups requiring an elevated roll centre, which changes how your suspension compresses during cornering. A higher roll centre typically provides more responsive handling and improved steering response, making these hubs ideal for drivers who prefer sharper, more direct cornering characteristics. The RC10B84D Classic includes both standard and HRC rear hubs, allowing competitive teams to select the option that best matches their driving style and track conditions.
  • Are these Factory Team components worth the investment? — Yes, Factory Team specification components like these rear hubs represent the same engineering and quality standards used in professional Team Associated racing programs. These hubs are manufactured to tighter tolerances than standard components, ensuring consistent performance across all units and eliminating the variance that could negatively impact your competitive results. For serious racers participating in club events, regional championships, or national competitions, genuine FT components provide the reliability and precision tuning capability required to achieve consistent lap times.
  • What is the difference between these HRC rear hubs and standard RC10B7 hubs? — The primary difference is the roll centre height and the offset specification. HRC hubs position the wheel further inward (-4 offset) and are engineered for setups requiring elevated roll centres. Standard hubs typically feature a 0 offset and lower roll centre geometry. The choice between HRC and standard hubs depends on your track conditions, driving style, and suspension setup goals. Team Associated includes both options with their premium kits like the RC10B84D Classic, recognising that different drivers and track conditions benefit from different geometric configurations.
  • Will these hubs fit my RC10B84D? — Yes, these Team Associated RC10B7 FT HRC rear hubs are confirmed compatible with the RC10B84D platform. The RC10B84D Classic specification includes rear hub options with multiple offset configurations, and these FT specification hubs integrate seamlessly with the RC10B84D's gearbox, suspension arm, and drivetrain systems. Ensure you have the correct rear suspension arms and gearbox assembly for your specific RC10B84D variant.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — These rear hubs are precision competition components designed for experienced builders and setup specialists rather than beginners. Installation requires disassembly of your rear suspension system, and proper fitment depends on understanding suspension geometry and offset specifications. Beginners are recommended to start with complete ready-to-run RC buggies or kits like the RC10B84D Classic, which include all necessary components pre-assembled. However, these hubs represent an excellent upgrade path once you've developed experience in RC setup and tuning.
  • How do I install these rear hubs on my RC10B7? — Installation requires removing your current rear hubs and transferring your rear suspension arms, gearbox assembly, and drivetrain components to these new hubs. This process requires removing multiple fasteners and carefully reassembling the drivetrain to ensure proper mesh and alignment. Detailed instructions are provided in the RC10B7 assembly manual available from Team Associated. If you're unfamiliar with RC suspension assembly, we recommend consulting the instruction manual or seeking guidance from experienced RC enthusiasts at your local RC racing club.
  • What other rear hub options are available for the RC10B7? — Team Associated manufactures rear hubs with various offset specifications including standard 0 offset and other HRC variants. The RC10B84D Classic includes both standard and HRC rear hubs, allowing competitive teams to maintain multiple hub sets for different track conditions and setup configurations. Contact RC Model Shop for information about alternative hub specifications available for your platform.
  • Are these blue aluminium hubs durable enough for serious racing? — Absolutely. These Factory Team components are engineered specifically for competitive racing environments where durability and consistency are non-negotiable. The blue aluminium construction provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, ensuring these hubs maintain their performance characteristics through intensive training sessions and competitive events. Team Associated's quality control standards ensure that each hub meets the durability requirements of professional racing programs.
