  • Original Platform Compatibility — Designed and tested for use on the original versions of the B4, T4, SC10, and GT2 platforms, this component maintains the authentic specifications that these legendary Associated vehicles were engineered around.
  • Genuine Team Associated Part — As an official Team Associated spare, this component meets all manufacturer specifications and quality standards, providing confidence that you're using an authentic replacement rather than a generic alternative.
  • Critical Differential Function — The outdrive hub is an essential component of your vehicle's differential system, responsible for transferring rotational power from the motor to the wheels whilst allowing independent wheel speed variation during cornering.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated AS7668 differential outdrive hub is manufactured to exacting engineering standards that have made Associated a respected name in RC racing and bashing for decades. The component is machined to precise tolerances to ensure smooth operation and longevity within the demanding environment of RC racing and off-road driving. The SAE outdrive bearing specification of 3/8 x 5/8 inches provides optimal load distribution and rotational efficiency, crucial for maintaining the responsiveness and handling characteristics that Associated vehicles are renowned for. The left-hand configuration has been specifically engineered to work in harmony with the associated transmission housing, ensuring proper gear mesh and minimal backlash during acceleration and deceleration. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will the AS7668 fit my Associated RC car? — The AS7668 left outdrive hub is designed for original versions of the B4, T4, SC10, and GT2 platforms that feature SAE outdrive bearings. Before purchasing, verify that your vehicle uses the 3/8 x 5/8 SAE outdrive bearing specification. If your vehicle has been upgraded to newer differential components or uses a different bearing standard, this part may not be compatible. Check your vehicle's documentation or contact our team if you're unsure.
  • What does a differential outdrive hub do? — The outdrive hub is a critical component of your RC car's differential system that transfers rotational power from the motor through the transmission to the wheels. It allows the drive system to function properly whilst enabling wheels to rotate at different speeds during cornering, which is essential for smooth handling and traction on all terrain types.
  • Why would I need to replace my outdrive hub? — Over time, the outdrive hub can wear through normal use, particularly in competitive racing or aggressive bashing. Signs of wear include loose or sloppy engagement with the bearing, grinding sounds during acceleration, or visible damage to the component. A worn outdrive hub will compromise your vehicle's handling and drivetrain efficiency, making replacement necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Is this a left or right hand part? — This is specifically the left-hand (port side) outdrive hub. If you need to replace both sides of your differential, you will also need to purchase the corresponding right-hand component. Always verify which side you need before ordering to ensure proper vehicle function.
  • How do I install the AS7668? — Installation requires removal of your transmission assembly and typically involves unbolting the outdrive bearing assembly from the transmission housing, removing the old hub, and installing the new AS7668 in its place. Detailed installation instructions should be consulted in your vehicle's manual. If you're unsure about the procedure, our experienced team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance.
