Technical Performance
The Fastrax Tru-Start 775 Motor w/13T Gear represents a comprehensive solution for nitro RC enthusiasts seeking reliable starting and consistent running performance. The 775 motor classification indicates a specific size and power characteristic widely recognised throughout the RC hobby, delivering the torque necessary for RC buggies, trucks, and crawlers whilst maintaining efficiency during longer running sessions. The 13-tooth gear ratio provides an optimal balance between acceleration response and top-end power, allowing your nitro RC vehicle to achieve smooth power delivery without sacrificing either low-end grunt or high-speed capability. The integrated gear eliminates potential compatibility issues that might arise from mixing components from different manufacturers, ensuring seamless integration into your existing RC setup. For users in the UK RC community, Fastrax motors are recognised for their build quality and consistency, with precision engineering that extends motor lifespan and reduces maintenance requirements. Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicles is the Fastrax Tru-Start 775 Motor compatible with? — The 775 motor size is a versatile component suitable for various nitro RC applications, including RC buggies, trucks, crawlers, and short-course vehicles. Compatibility depends on your specific vehicle's motor mount and drivetrain specifications, so we recommend checking your vehicle's documentation or contacting our RC experts at RC Model Shop before purchasing.
- Is this a complete motor or does it need additional components? — This is supplied as a complete assembly with the motor and 13-tooth gear integrated into one unit, eliminating the need to source separate components. However, installation into your RC vehicle will require compatible motor mounts, bearings, and drivetrain components specific to your model.
- How does the 13T gear ratio affect my RC vehicle's performance? — The 13-tooth gear represents a medium gear ratio that balances acceleration response with top-speed capability. A 13T gear provides good all-around performance for recreational and competitive RC driving, offering neither extreme acceleration nor maximum speed, making it suitable for varied track conditions and driving styles.
- What is the difference between this 775 motor and other Fastrax motors? — The 775 designation refers to the motor's physical size and power output characteristics. Different motor sizes (such as 540, 750, 775, or 1000) deliver varying levels of torque and RPM. The 775 offers a proven middle ground for many RC applications, making it a popular choice among UK RC hobbyists for balanced performance across different vehicle types.
- Can I use this motor as a direct replacement in my current RC vehicle? — In most cases, yes, provided your vehicle currently uses a 775-sized motor. However, we recommend verifying motor mount compatibility and ensuring your vehicle's cooling system and drivetrain can handle the motor's specifications. Our experienced team at RC Model Shop is happy to help confirm compatibility with your specific RC setup.
- Why should I choose Fastrax components for my RC vehicle? — Fastrax is recognised throughout the RC community for manufacturing quality parts with attention to durability and performance consistency. Choosing genuine Fastrax components means you're investing in proven reliability, better longevity, and support from a manufacturer with extensive expertise in RC systems.
