Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 650 CPS is a professional-grade suspension fluid designed specifically for shock absorbers in RC cars and RC buggies. This 150ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone oil represents a premium choice for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand consistent, reliable performance from their suspension systems. Whether you're competing in RC racing events or enjoying weekend bashing with your RC model, maintaining the correct shock oil viscosity is absolutely critical to achieving optimal handling, stability and ride comfort.
Shock oil viscosity directly affects how your RC car's suspension behaves on track or off-road. Too thin and your shocks won't provide adequate damping; too thick and your suspension becomes sluggish and unresponsive. The 650 CST (centistoke) viscosity grade of this Corally shock oil sits in the medium-to-firm range, making it ideal for a wide variety of RC vehicles including 1/10 scale buggies, touring cars, and short-course trucks. Team Corally is a recognised and trusted manufacturer in the RC hobby world, and their commitment to purity and quality makes this shock oil a favourite among serious RC competitors and hobbyists alike.
If you're building a new RC setup, replacing worn shock oil, or fine-tuning your suspension performance, the Corally Ultra Pure Silicone 650 CPS is the professional choice. Available now at RC Model Shop, this genuine Corally product comes with full safety documentation and is ready to help you dial in your RC car's suspension precisely.
Key Features
- Ultra Pure Silicone Formula — This shock oil is manufactured to 100% pure silicone specifications, meaning there are no additives or impurities that could affect suspension performance or damage internal shock components. Pure silicone oil ensures consistent viscosity performance across a wide temperature range and resists oxidation, keeping your shocks working smoothly for longer.
- 650 CST Viscosity Grade — The 650 centistoke (CST) viscosity marking places this oil firmly in the medium-firm category, making it suitable for balanced performance on a wide range of track conditions and RC car types. This viscosity is versatile enough for both racing and recreational use, providing predictable damping characteristics without being overly stiff or excessively soft.
- 150ml Bottle Size — The 150ml capacity provides generous quantity for multiple shock refills, shock tuning sessions, and keeping spare shock oil on hand during RC events. One bottle can service many shocks, making it economical and ensuring you'll have the correct oil available when you need adjustments.
- Professional-Grade Quality — Manufactured by Team Corally, a recognised name in RC suspension components and fluids, this shock oil meets professional standards for consistency, purity and performance. Many competitive RC drivers and teams across the UK rely on Corally products for race-day reliability.
- Temperature Stable Performance — Pure silicone oil maintains consistent viscosity across temperature variations, ensuring your RC car's suspension responds the same way whether you're racing in winter conditions or summer heat. This temperature stability is crucial for predictable handling.
- Complete Safety Documentation — The product includes multilingual Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in English, German, French and Dutch, ensuring you have comprehensive safety and handling information for this RC maintenance product.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 650 CPS represents the pinnacle of RC suspension maintenance fluids. At 650 centistokes, this viscosity rating is measured according to the CST grading standard, which defines the flow characteristics of the oil at standardised temperatures. The 100% pure silicone formulation means every drop delivers consistent damping force without degradation, which is essential for maintaining precise suspension geometry and response in competitive RC racing scenarios. Whether you're tuning shocks for a 1/10 scale RC buggy, a touring car, or a stadium truck, this viscosity provides the right balance between absorption of impacts and controlled compression. The ultra-pure formulation prevents silicone breakdown from repeated heat cycling during intense RC racing sessions, and resists contamination from dust or moisture better than lower-quality shock oils. Professional RC teams across the UK specify this grade because repeatability is paramount—the same shock oil delivers the same performance every time you refill, allowing drivers to isolate suspension tuning changes from fluid degradation variables. The 150ml bottle format allows for efficient shock servicing, and the product's stability means you can keep stock on the shelf for extended periods without worrying about viscosity drift or separation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity shock oil do I need for my RC car? — Shock oil viscosity depends on your specific RC vehicle, track conditions and tuning preferences. The 650 CST grade is considered a versatile middle ground suitable for most 1/10 scale RC buggies, touring cars and short-course trucks. Lighter oils (300-500 CST) provide softer, more responsive suspension ideal for smooth tracks or racers preferring nimble handling. Heavier oils (1000+ CST) create stiffer damping for rough terrain or cars that need stability. Check your RC car's instruction manual or consult with experienced RC racers for your specific vehicle.
- Is Corally shock oil suitable for competitive RC racing in the UK? — Yes, absolutely. Team Corally is a recognised professional-grade manufacturer, and many competitive RC racers, clubs and events across the UK specify Corally products including shock oils. The 100% pure silicone formula and consistent 650 CST viscosity make it ideal for precise suspension tuning during competition.
- How long does one 150ml bottle last? — The duration depends on how frequently you service your shocks and how many RC vehicles you maintain. A single 150ml bottle typically services 8-12 shocks depending on shock size, making it perfect for maintaining a collection of RC cars or for multiple refill and tuning sessions during a racing season.
- Can I use this shock oil in all types of RC shocks? — This shock oil is specifically formulated for RC shock absorbers and is compatible with most standard RC shock designs used in 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles. However, always check your shock manufacturer's recommendations—some speciality shocks or sealed units may have specific fluid requirements.
- What makes pure silicone better than other shock fluids? — Pure silicone oil, with no additives or impurities, offers superior temperature stability, consistent viscosity performance, resistance to oxidation and breakdown, and better longevity. It also won't degrade internal shock seals and components like some alternative fluids can, making it the professional choice for serious RC competitors.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Yes, this shock oil is suitable for beginners and experienced racers alike. If you're new to RC and learning about suspension tuning, the 650 CST viscosity is a safe middle ground. However, beginners should start by using the viscosity recommended by their RC car manufacturer, then experiment with thicker or thinner oils as they develop tuning skills.
- How should I store this shock oil? — Store the Corally shock oil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle sealed when not in use to prevent contamination or evaporation. The pure silicone formula is stable and won't separate if stored properly, so you can safely keep backup bottles on your RC workshop shelf.
