Technical Performance
The Radient Pigtail Connector Pack represents a significant step forward in RC component convenience and reliability. At the heart of this product is the Deans male connector, an industry standard that has earned its reputation through decades of reliable service in RC applications ranging from beginner-level ready-to-run RC models to professional competition vehicles. The 12AWG copper wire specification is particularly important for users of modern brushless RC systems, as it provides sufficient current-carrying capacity for high-draw applications without introducing unnecessary voltage drop that could compromise performance. The 100mm lead length has been carefully chosen to offer optimal flexibility; at approximately 4 inches, it's long enough to enable creative wiring solutions whilst remaining short enough to maintain organisation within compact RC chassis designs. Whether you're working with high-performance 1/10 scale RC cars, 1/8 scale buggies, or other RC models, this wire gauge will perform reliably without overheating or voltage degradation during extended running sessions. The solid construction ensures that these connectors will maintain their integrity through countless connect-disconnect cycles, making them suitable for both regular maintenance and competitive use where reliability cannot be compromised. For RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand professional-grade components at accessible pricing, this pack delivers genuine engineering excellence.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the wire gauge and why does it matter for my RC setup? — These pigtails feature 12AWG wire, which is a substantial gauge ideal for modern brushless RC systems and high-performance applications. The thicker wire means lower resistance, better current flow, and reduced heat generation during operation, making it perfect for demanding RC vehicles and ensuring safe, reliable performance during extended running sessions.
- Are these pigtails suitable for beginners in RC hobbies? — Yes, absolutely. The age recommendation of 14+ combined with the pre-assembled nature of these connectors makes them perfect for newcomers to RC who might not yet feel confident soldering their own connections. They're equally valuable for experienced builders who want to streamline their workflow and focus on more complex aspects of their RC projects.
- What makes the 100mm lead length the right choice? — The 100mm (approximately 4 inch) lead length strikes an ideal balance for most RC applications. It's long enough to provide routing flexibility within your RC chassis, enabling creative custom configurations, yet short enough to prevent excessive cable management issues. This length is perfect for creating tidy power distribution harnesses in everything from compact 1/10 scale RC cars to larger 1/8 scale models.
- Can I use these Deans connectors with my existing RC batteries and equipment? — The Deans male connector is an industry standard found on countless RC components including batteries, ESCs, and power distribution boards. Provided your existing RC equipment uses standard Deans connectors (which is the case for the majority of modern RC vehicles), these pigtails will integrate seamlessly with your setup.
- How many pigtails should I keep in stock? — With five pigtails per pack, most RC enthusiasts find this quantity ideal for projects, repairs, and building backup leads. Many UK RC hobbyists keep multiple packs on hand to ensure they never run short during important competitions or extensive build sessions.
- What is this product ideal for? — These pigtails excel in several scenarios: creating custom power leads for new RC car builds, maintaining a consistent wiring standard across your RC fleet, performing rapid repairs without reaching for your soldering iron, building backup connectors for competition events, and generally improving the professionalism and efficiency of your RC workspace.
