Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 700 CPS is an essential maintenance fluid for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision tuning and optimal suspension performance. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your 1/10 scale RC buggy or a weekend basher looking to maintain your RC truck, this professional-grade shock oil is the ideal choice for keeping your suspension operating at peak efficiency. Team Corally's commitment to quality means you're investing in a product that serious RC competitors and hobbyists trust for consistent, predictable damping characteristics.
Shock oil is one of the most critical consumables in RC motorsport, directly affecting how your vehicle handles, corners and absorbs impacts from rough terrain. The viscosity you choose determines the damping rate of your suspension—too thin and your shocks won't provide adequate support; too thick and your suspension becomes sluggish and unresponsive. This 700 CPS formulation sits in the sweet spot for many popular RC cars, providing balanced damping for both on-road and off-road applications. With 150ml of product in each bottle, you'll have enough to service multiple shock units or maintain your suspension throughout an entire racing season.
What sets this shock oil apart is its ultra-pure silicone composition, engineered to deliver consistent viscosity across temperature ranges and extended use periods. Pure silicone oils maintain their damping characteristics far better than inferior synthetics, meaning your suspension tuning remains stable whether you're racing in summer heat or winter conditions across the UK. If you're serious about RC performance and want your vehicle to respond predictably on the track or trail, Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 700 CPS is the professional solution you need.
Key Features
- 100% Pure Silicone Composition — This shock oil is formulated from pure silicone rather than blended synthetics, which ensures superior consistency and stability across temperature variations, meaning your suspension tuning remains reliable throughout extended racing sessions regardless of UK weather conditions.
- 700 CST Viscosity Grade — The 700 cSt rating provides balanced damping suitable for a wide range of RC vehicles and driving styles, making it an excellent all-purpose choice for tuning shock absorbers on everything from 1/10 scale buggies to larger off-road trucks and crawlers.
- 150ml Bottle Size — With 150 millilitres of product, you have sufficient volume to service multiple shock units or maintain your suspension system throughout an entire racing season, ensuring you won't run out mid-competition or mid-maintenance.
- Professional Racing Grade — Team Corally's shock oils are trusted by competitive RC racers and professional tuners worldwide, reflecting engineering standards that go beyond casual hobby-grade products and into serious performance territory.
- Temperature Stable Formulation — The ultra-pure silicone maintains consistent damping characteristics across temperature ranges, preventing viscosity changes that could alter your suspension behaviour in different weather or track conditions throughout the year.
- Easy to Apply — The liquid form makes precise application into shock absorbers straightforward, allowing fine adjustment of damping rates through viscosity selection and enabling quick changes between tuning setups during testing or competition.
Technical Performance
Team Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 700 CPS represents professional-grade suspension maintenance fluid engineered for demanding RC applications. The 700 cSt viscosity specification places this oil in the medium-weight category, making it suitable for general-purpose shock tuning on most popular RC vehicle types. Pure silicone construction ensures minimal viscosity drift across temperature ranges, meaning your carefully dialled-in suspension settings remain consistent whether you're testing on a warm summer afternoon or racing during cooler UK weather. The 150ml format provides excellent value, offering enough product to service approximately 6-8 shock units depending on shock size and piston configuration, or to maintain a single vehicle's suspension system through multiple competitive events. Unlike mineral or inferior synthetic oils that can break down or oxidise over time, pure silicone maintains its damping properties through extended storage and repeated use cycles, providing long-term reliability for your RC investment. The formulation has been validated for use across the full spectrum of RC motorsport applications, from precision road racing where suspension tuning is critical, to off-road bashing where shocks must handle enormous impacts and temperature swings. Team Corally's manufacturing standards ensure batch consistency, meaning each bottle delivers predictable performance matching previous purchases—essential for serious racers who build setups around specific oil viscosities.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity shock oil should I use for my RC car? — Shock oil viscosity depends on your specific vehicle, track conditions and driving style. The 700 cSt grade offered here is a versatile medium-weight option suitable for most popular RC buggies, trucks and short-course vehicles. Heavier oils (1000+ cSt) provide more resistance and slower suspension response, ideal for high-speed racing or very rough terrain. Lighter oils (300-500 cSt) offer faster suspension response suited to technical tracks. Consult your vehicle manual or team recommendations to determine the best starting point, then adjust based on handling feedback during testing.
- Is this shock oil suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. While shock oil selection is an advanced tuning topic, this 700 cSt formulation is an excellent starting point for most RC vehicles and driving situations. Beginners benefit from using proper shock oil rather than attempting to run vehicles dry or with inferior products, as it provides predictable damping that helps newer drivers learn vehicle control. As you progress and develop tuning skills, you can experiment with different viscosity grades, but this medium-weight option will serve you well throughout your RC journey.
- How often should I replace shock oil in my RC car? — Shock oil doesn't require frequent replacement under normal use—it typically lasts an entire racing season. However, inspect your shocks regularly for contamination, discolouration or separation, which indicate the oil needs changing. If you crash heavily and suspect water ingress into your shocks, change the oil immediately to prevent corrosion and loss of damping performance. Many serious racers change oil before major competitions to ensure optimal consistency.
- Can I mix different viscosity shock oils? — Technically you can, but it's not recommended for precision tuning. Mixing different viscosity grades will create an intermediate viscosity that's difficult to predict, undermining the whole purpose of selecting a specific grade for your setup. Instead, drain completely and refill with your chosen viscosity for consistent, repeatable results. If you need an intermediate viscosity between standard grades, contact Team Corally for specialist options.
- What makes Team Corally shock oil different from cheaper alternatives? — Team Corally shock oils are formulated from 100% pure silicone rather than blended synthetics, ensuring superior temperature stability and consistency throughout your oil's service life. This means your suspension tuning remains reliable regardless of weather conditions or extended use. Budget alternatives often use inferior synthetic blends that experience viscosity changes in different temperatures, making it impossible to dial in consistent handling. Professional racers choose pure silicone oils because the investment pays dividends through improved performance and predictable vehicle behaviour.
- Is this shock oil compatible with all RC vehicles? — This shock oil is designed for use in shock absorbers on RC vehicles, making it compatible with most popular brands and models including Traxxas, ARRMA, Losi, FTX and other major manufacturers. However, always verify your specific vehicle accepts standard silicone shock oil—some speciality shocks or dampers might require different fluid types. Check your vehicle manual or contact the manufacturer if you're unsure. The 700 cSt viscosity is versatile enough for buggies, trucks, short-course vehicles, crawlers and truggy applications.
