- Quality Radient Brand Construction — Manufactured by Radient, a trusted name in RC charging accessories and connectors, ensuring that you receive a product engineered to exacting standards with proper insulation, secure crimping, and reliable long-term performance.
- Lightweight and Portable — Weighing just 0.02kg, this charge lead is featherlight and easily transportable, perfect for RC modellers who travel to race meetings, training sessions, or RC events around the UK and need minimal additional weight in their kit bag.
Technical Performance
The Radient Charge Lead demonstrates thoughtful engineering across every detail. The 18AWG wire specification strikes the perfect balance between current capacity and weight, providing sufficient gauge for typical RC LiPo battery charging scenarios whilst maintaining the compact profile that users expect from a modern charging lead. The connectors themselves are precision-manufactured to ensure tight, secure connections that eliminate any risk of accidental disconnection during charging sessions. The 150mm length has been carefully calculated to provide working distance between your charger and battery or ESC without creating excessive cable slack that could snag or create untidy workspace conditions. Quality solder joints and proper crimping on both the 4mm bullet connectors and the EC2 male connector ensure consistent electrical continuity and minimal resistance during current transfer, which is critical for safe and efficient charging cycles. The insulation is robust enough to withstand the demands of regular use in typical RC hobby environments, whether you're charging in your garage, at a track, or on the field. For users running EC2-equipped LiPo battery systems and ESCs, this lead becomes an indispensable component of their charging routine, offering the reliability that serious RC competitors and dedicated hobbyists demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What chargers does this lead work with? — This charge lead is compatible with any RC charger equipped with 4mm bullet connector outputs. These include many popular balance chargers and power supplies used throughout the UK RC hobby. The lead specifically terminates in an EC2 male connector on the battery/ESC end, so your battery pack or ESC must feature an EC2 female port to complete the connection.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Yes, this charge lead is suitable for users aged 14 and upwards. Beginners will find it straightforward to use — simply insert the 4mm bullet connectors into your charger's output ports and connect the EC2 male end to your battery or ESC. However, we always recommend that younger users follow proper RC battery safety procedures and never leave charging batteries unattended.
- Can I use this with different battery voltages? — The 18AWG wire gauge of this lead makes it suitable for typical RC LiPo battery packs across standard voltage ranges. The specific current capacity depends on the quality of the connections and wire specification. For extremely high-current charging scenarios, users should consult with RC experts, but for standard hobbyist use, this lead provides reliable performance.
- What is EC2 and why does it matter? — EC2 (also called EC2 Connector) is a compact connector standard increasingly used in modern RC equipment, particularly on electronic speed controllers and LiPo batteries. It provides a secure, keyed connection that prevents accidental reverse polarity connections, making it safer than some legacy connector types. If your ESC or battery features an EC2 connector, you need a compatible charge lead like this one.
- Will this lead work with my brushless RC car? — This depends on your specific ESC and battery connector configuration. Many brushless RC cars UK feature EC2 connectors on their ESCs and batteries. Check your equipment specifications before ordering. If your ESC or battery has an EC2 female port and your charger has 4mm bullet outputs, this lead will work perfectly.
- How long will this charge lead last? — With proper care, the Radient Charge Lead will provide years of reliable service. Avoid sharp bends, protect the connectors from dirt and corrosion, and store it away from extreme temperatures. Quality soldering and crimping mean that connection points won't degrade with regular use.
