Hangar 9’s Hawk 140–160N Turbine Jet ARF model faithfully captures that legacy in a robust, pre-built package designed for today’s turbine sport and scale flyers. Crafted from lightweight balsa and plywood reinforced with carbon fibre, this ARF airframe arrives ready for your choice of 140–160N turbine engines (sold separately). A complete hardware kit, dual-wall stainless steel pipe and 5.5L fuel tank ensure you spend less time shopping for parts, and more time mastering precision passes, rolls and loops. Finished in the striking VT-7 Betsy Ross trim scheme, the Hangar 9 Hawk delivers an eye–catching presence both on the ground and in the air.

Hangar 9 Hawk/T-45 140-160N Turbine RC Jet ARF Overview

Hangar 9’s Hawk 140–160N sets a new standard for scale turbine ARF models. Based on the proven BAE Systems Hawk airframe and adopted by the U.S. Navy as the T-45 Goshawk, this model blends authentic lines with modern materials to deliver a stable yet highly responsive flying experience. At the heart of the design is a factory-assembled airframe of carbon fibre–reinforced balsa and plywood. All control linkages are included, along with a comprehensive hardware pack including a composite 5.5 L fuel tank with aluminium magnetic fill and vent fittings, dual-wall stainless steel tail pipe, and assembly hardware.

Large top hatches grant rapid access to the turbine, fuel system, and electronics. Scale enthusiasts will appreciate the printed VT-7 Betsy Ross factory-applied trim scheme with panel line, hatch, and rivet details. Inside, a detailed cockpit houses pilot figures, molded seats and a 3D instrument panel under a clear canopy.

The electric retract set (HAN13785) is equipped with precision aluminium trailing-link struts and electric brakes, which allow the Hawk to take off and land from paved surfaces, and most grass runways. The retract set includes a retract controller with adjustable brake strength, and a test function that allows retract operation without the transmitter. A complete set of gear doors with mounting hardware and linkages is also included.

To ease storage and protection, the two-piece wing, horizontal stabilizers, vertical stabilizer, and ventral fins can be removed with ease and stow safely in optional carrying bags (HAN1375018 and HAN1375019)The aircraft is light-ready, and suits various lighting options, including two Hawk-specific versions from uniLIGHT.

140-160N TURBINE READY AIRFRAME

Weighing 40-44 lbs, the Hawk is perfectly paired with modern turbines from brands like Kingtech and JetCat in the 140-160N size range. The Kingtech K-142 and K-160 are what powered development and test airframes. Our preferred engine is the K-160 as it provides a great combination of power, performance, and flight time.

AUTHENTIC BETSY ROSS COVERING

The Hawk arrives wrapped in printed, self-adhesive PVC film replicating VT-7’s Betsy Ross flag scheme. Durable and precision cut, it delivers crisp panel lines, scale rivet details and weathering straight out of the box.

ROBUST FUEL SYSTEM

A composite 5.5 L fuel tank with aluminium magnetic fill and vent fittings, plus a dual-wall stainless steel tailpipe, are ready for easy install with the included hardware.

ELECTRIC LANDING GEAR & BRAKES

The HAN13785 retract set (sold separately) includes precision aluminium trailing-link struts, integrated electric brakes and a gear controller with brake adjustments, and a test button for cycling the landing gear without needing a transmitter.

LARGE TOP-HATCH ACCESS

Oversize hatches open tool-free to reveal the turbine bay, battery trays and receiver compartment. Big openings mean fast hookups, quick troubleshooting and efficient field-service routines - even when the flight line is busy.

MODULAR TRANSPORT DESIGN

Wings, stabilizers and ventral fins detach quickly seconds thanks to carbon-fibre and aluminium joiner tubes, with quick-release hardware. Stow them in optional padded transport and storage bags (HAN1375018, HAN1375019).

GEAR DOORS

A complete landing gear door set is supplied and provides a scale finishing touch. All linkages and mounting hardware are included, add three standard servos and you'll be ready to get the gear cleanly tucked away.

READY FOR LIGHTS

The airframe is Light-Ready-just add your preferred LED kit. We’ve worked with folks like UNI-LIGHT ahead of release to ensure combos are available to make shopping easy! Customers may want to add a nose light, navigation and strobe lights for the wings, beacon and strobe lights for the fuselage.

For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock. If one of the items is going to take a while we will give you the choice either wait for everything to arrive or let us send the available items now and deliver the rest later. It is up to you.
We use trusted delivery partners to make sure your order gets to you safely and on time. We use DPD for next working day deliveries and Royal Mail for the 2 day option.
