Overview
The Losi 10 x 22 x 6mm Rubber Sealed Ball Bearing (4) Z-LOS257009 is an essential maintenance and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision performance from their radio controlled vehicles. Whether you're running a Losi RC buggy, truck, or crawler, these premium ball bearings are engineered to deliver smooth, reliable rotation and extended component lifespan. Manufactured by Losi, a brand recognised worldwide for producing high-quality RC car parts and accessories, this bearing pack contains four individual sealed units that are ready to install into your RC model.
If you're serious about maintaining your RC car UK setup in peak condition, replacing worn bearings is one of the most cost-effective upgrades you can make. Ball bearings are the critical rotating components found throughout your RC vehicle—in wheel hubs, motor shafts, suspension linkages, and drivetrain systems. Over time, standard bearings accumulate dirt, sand, and moisture, causing friction and wear that degrades handling, speed, and overall performance. These rubber-sealed variants offer superior protection against contamination whilst maintaining the smooth action essential for competitive racing and weekend bashing alike.
The 10 x 22 x 6mm dimensions make these bearings compatible with a wide range of Losi RC models, and the rubber seals provide an extra layer of defence against the elements—particularly valuable if you frequently drive your RC car off-road in muddy or wet conditions. For anyone investing in a quality ready to run RC vehicle or race-spec RC buggy, upgrading to sealed ball bearings like these is a proven way to extend component life and maintain consistent performance.
Key Features
- Rubber Sealed Design — The rubber seals provide a protective barrier that keeps dirt, sand, moisture and other contaminants away from the precision ball races inside, ensuring smooth operation even in challenging outdoor environments and reducing the frequency of bearing replacement.
- Four Bearings Per Pack — This set includes four individual sealed ball bearings, giving you enough units to replace bearings across multiple suspension points, wheel hubs, or drivetrain components in a single service session without needing to purchase multiple packs.
- Precision Losi Manufacturing — These bearings are manufactured by Losi, a trusted name in RC car engineering, ensuring that specifications are accurate and tolerances are tight for perfect fit and alignment within your RC model's components.
- 10 x 22 x 6mm Dimensions — The specific 10mm inner diameter, 22mm outer diameter, and 6mm width make these bearings a direct replacement for original equipment on compatible Losi RC vehicles, ensuring proper fitment without modification.
- Smooth Rotation Performance — Quality ball bearings reduce friction throughout your RC car's mechanical systems, translating to faster acceleration, smoother handling characteristics, and improved energy efficiency that extends runtime on a single battery charge.
- Cost-Effective Maintenance — Regular bearing replacement as part of your RC car maintenance routine is far more affordable than replacing entire assemblies or damaged drivetrain components, making this pack excellent value for RC enthusiasts.
Technical Performance
The Losi 10 x 22 x 6mm Rubber Sealed Ball Bearing represents a critical upgrade for anyone serious about RC performance. The dimensions—10mm bore, 22mm outer diameter, and 6mm width—are specifically engineered to match the original specifications of compatible Losi RC vehicle models, whether you're running a competitive RC buggy, a trail crawler, or a backyard basher. The rubber sealing is crucial for real-world RC driving: when you're taking your RC car through muddy terrain, splashing through water features, or driving in dusty conditions typical of UK RC courses and natural landscapes, unsealed bearings will rapidly accumulate contamination that creates friction, noise, and eventual mechanical failure. These sealed units combat that issue by creating a barrier that allows the bearing races and balls to rotate smoothly whilst rejecting moisture and particulates. The bearing pack contains four units, which is the standard quantity needed for a complete bearing refresh across the wheel hubs of most RC vehicles—two front, two rear—or for replacing bearings in drivetrain assemblies and suspension linkages. For competitive RC racers and serious hobbyists, bearing quality directly impacts lap times and consistency; smooth, low-friction bearings mean better steering response, improved acceleration characteristics, and more predictable handling throughout a race or bashing session.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are rubber sealed ball bearings better than unsealed or metal-shielded bearings for RC cars? — Yes, rubber seals provide superior protection against the dirt, moisture, and sand that are unavoidable when driving RC cars outdoors in the UK. Sealed bearings require less frequent cleaning and replacement compared to open or metal-shielded designs, making them ideal for both casual weekend bashers and competitive racers who want lower maintenance between events.
- Which Losi RC models use 10 x 22 x 6mm bearings? — These dimensions are found across multiple Losi platforms, but it's essential to check your specific vehicle's manual or parts diagram to confirm compatibility before ordering. The model number Z-LOS257009 is the authorised Losi part number, ensuring you receive genuine components engineered for your RC car.
- How often should I replace bearings on my RC car? — Bearing lifespan depends on driving conditions and maintenance practices. If you frequently drive in wet, muddy, or sandy environments, inspect bearings every 10-15 hours of driving time. Sealed bearings like these last considerably longer than unsealed alternatives because the rubber shields prevent contamination from reaching the races. Replace bearings when you notice clicking sounds, grinding, or resistance to smooth rotation.
- Can I use these bearings on other RC brands besides Losi? — The 10 x 22 x 6mm dimensions are used across many RC brands, including ARRMA, Traxxas, and other manufacturers. However, always verify compatibility with your specific model before purchasing. Using incorrect bearing dimensions can result in poor fitment, binding, or excessive play, which will damage your vehicle's performance and components.
- What tools do I need to install these bearings? — Most RC bearing replacements require only basic hand tools: a small hex key or ball driver to remove component fasteners, and often a bearing press or simple brass drift punch to seat the bearing in its housing. A workbench with good lighting is helpful for precision work. Many RC shops in the UK can install bearings for you if you prefer professional service.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Bearing replacement is an intermediate-level maintenance task that requires some mechanical aptitude and the right tools. Beginners are encouraged to watch tutorial videos first or seek assistance from experienced RC enthusiasts. However, once you've learned the technique, bearing replacement becomes routine maintenance that all RC car owners should be comfortable performing.
