Overview

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 17x26x5mm 2RS (2) Z-ARA610049 is an essential replacement and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts maintaining and enhancing their ARRMA RC vehicles. These precision ball bearings are specifically engineered to deliver smooth, reliable performance in demanding RC applications, whether you're a weekend basher enjoying your RC car UK hobby or a competitive racer pushing your machine to the limit. With a 4.1-star customer rating, these bearings have proven themselves in the field as dependable components that keep your RC model running smoothly and efficiently.

Whether you're building a new ARRMA ready to run RC car or maintaining an existing model, having quality replacement bearings on hand is crucial for optimal performance. The 2RS (rubber sealed) design protects the bearing surfaces from dust, dirt and debris, which is particularly important if you enjoy off-road RC adventures or regular use in varied conditions. These bearings represent genuine ARRMA parts, manufactured to the exacting standards you'd expect from a trusted RC brand with decades of experience in the hobby.

For UK RC enthusiasts, investing in genuine ARRMA ball bearings like the Z-ARA610049 ensures compatibility with your existing models and maintains the performance characteristics your vehicle was designed to deliver. Whether you need these as spare parts or are upgrading your RC car, these ball bearings are the choice of serious RC hobbyists who understand that quality components make the difference between a frustrating experience and hours of smooth, enjoyable running.

Key Features

  • 17x26x5mm Dimensions — This specific size is engineered to fit precisely in ARRMA RC vehicles where these bearing positions are specified, ensuring perfect compatibility and eliminating fitment issues that can arise with incorrect sizes.
  • 2RS Rubber Seal Design — The dual rubber seals protect the internal bearing surfaces from contamination including dirt, dust, water and debris, extending bearing life and maintaining smooth operation even in challenging off-road or outdoor RC environments.
  • Quantity of Two — Each package includes a pair of bearings, allowing you to replace both sides of a bearing position or stock spares for when maintenance becomes necessary during your RC sessions.
  • Precision Ball Bearing Construction — These are genuine ball bearings rather than sleeve bearings, offering superior smoothness, reduced friction and better performance characteristics that serious RC builders and bashers demand.
  • ARRMA Genuine Parts — As official ARRMA components, these bearings are manufactured to exact specifications, ensuring they perform exactly as your RC vehicle's designer intended without any compatibility guesswork.
  • Proven Reliability — With a 4.1-star customer rating from real RC enthusiasts, these bearings have demonstrated their worth in actual field use across numerous ARRMA platforms and driving styles.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Ball Bearing 17x26x5mm 2RS represents the engineering standard expected in modern RC component design. Ball bearings offer significantly lower friction than alternative bearing types, meaning smoother rotation, less energy loss, and better overall vehicle responsiveness. The 17mm bore, 26mm outer diameter and 5mm width create a bearing designed for specific load-bearing positions in ARRMA chassis, where precise sizing is critical to maintaining proper alignment and performance. The 2RS seal configuration uses two integral rubber shields that sit just inside the outer race, providing excellent protection against the ingress of contamination whilst still allowing the bearing to rotate freely without excessive drag. This is particularly important for RC vehicles used in dusty environments or wet conditions common in UK outdoor RC driving. The materials and manufacturing tolerances used in these bearings ensure consistent performance across the entire product range, meaning each bearing in your pack will perform identically, creating balanced handling and predictable vehicle behaviour. For RC car UK enthusiasts who understand that bearings are the foundation of smooth performance, these ARRMA components deliver the precision engineering that separates quality RC experiences from mediocre ones. The sealed design means less frequent maintenance is required compared to open bearings, though periodic inspection and re-greasing according to your usage patterns will extend bearing life significantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA RC models use 17x26x5mm bearings? — This specific bearing size is fitted to various ARRMA RC vehicles at different positions depending on the model. Consult your ARRMA vehicle's manual or contact RC Model Shop to confirm your vehicle uses this size before ordering, as bearing positions and sizes vary across the ARRMA product range.
  • How often should I replace RC bearings like these? — Bearing replacement frequency depends entirely on how heavily you use your RC vehicle and the conditions you drive in. Intense competition use may require more frequent replacement than casual weekend driving. Most RC enthusiasts check bearings every 20-30 hours of operation and replace them when they develop noticeably rough feeling rotation or audible grinding sounds.
  • What does 2RS mean on these ball bearings? — The 2RS designation means these bearings feature two rubber seals, one on each side of the bearing. These seals sit just inside the outer race and protect the bearing surfaces from contamination whilst still allowing smooth rotation, making them ideal for RC vehicles used in outdoor and potentially dusty environments.
  • Can I use these bearings as upgrades to my ARRMA RC vehicle? — These are designed as direct replacements for OEM ARRMA bearings of the same size. If your ARRMA vehicle originally came with 17x26x5mm bearings, these genuine ARRMA parts will perform identically to the originals and can be used as replacements during maintenance or as a complete overhaul kit.
  • Do these bearings require any special tools to install? — Installation of RC ball bearings typically requires a bearing press or appropriate installation tool to avoid damaging the bearing races. If you're unfamiliar with bearing installation on RC vehicles, the team at RC Model Shop can provide advice on proper installation techniques.
  • How do I maintain these sealed bearings? — Sealed 2RS bearings require minimal maintenance during normal use. However, after prolonged off-road driving or water exposure, allowing them to dry completely is recommended. Some RC enthusiasts prefer to periodically remove seals and apply fresh bearing grease, particularly after very heavy use, though this requires disassembly skills.
