The Dynamite P-DYNM3876 120A Marine ESC for 2–6S LiPo brushless RC boats is a high-performance, water-cooled controller engineered for medium to large hulls demanding precision, power, and durability. Designed for platforms like the Blackjack 29 V3, deep-V hulls, catamarans, and airboats, this ESC delivers 120A continuous current and up to 720A burst capacity, making it ideal for aggressive throttle profiles and extended high-speed runs. With full forward/reverse/brake functionality, programmable cutoff, and marine-specific firmware, the Dynamite P-DYNM3876 offers refined control and thermal stability in demanding aquatic environments.

Key features of the Dynamite P-DYNM3876 120A Marine ESC

  • 120A continuous current – supports high-output brushless motors for serious marine propulsion
  • Waterproof and water-cooled housing – marine-grade enclosure with integrated cooling jacket for thermal management
  • Reverse-enabled drive – enhances maneuverability for docking, recovery, and tight water turns
  • Programmable brake – includes time-delay functionality for smoother deceleration and safer transitions
  • 6V switching BEC – powers receiver and servos with stable voltage delivery
  • IC5 connector – ensures secure, high-current connectivity with LiPo battery packs

How does the Dynamite P-DYNM3876 handle high-current marine loads?

The Dynamite P-DYNM3876 marine ESC with 720A burst current, 6V switching BEC, and 5.5mm bullets is built to withstand the demands of high-speed aquatic platforms. Its 120A continuous rating ensures consistent power delivery during sustained throttle runs, while the 720A burst capacity provides headroom for acceleration spikes and peak loads. The integrated water-cooled housing actively dissipates heat, allowing the ESC to operate efficiently under prolonged stress without thermal shutdown.

Why is reverse functionality important in RC boats?

The Dynamite P-DYNM3876 waterproof ESC with IC5 connector, reverse, and programmable brake includes full directional control for enhanced maneuverability. Whether you're repositioning after a missed turn, navigating docks, or recovering from obstacles, the reverse function adds flexibility that forward-only ESCs cannot offer. Combined with programmable brake settings and time-delay deceleration, this ESC provides a smoother and safer driving experience across varied water conditions.

What battery configurations does the Dynamite P-DYNM3876 support?

The 2–6S brushless marine ESC with time-delay brake, overload protection, and programmable cutoff supports both 2–6S LiPo and 6–18 cell NiMH setups, offering broad compatibility for speed tuning and runtime optimization. Users can tailor their power systems to match hull type, motor KV, and water conditions. The programmable low-voltage cutoff protects batteries from over-discharge, while the overload protection safeguards internal components during current surges or motor stalls.

How does the ESC maintain efficiency under load?

The Dynamite P-DYNM3876 with 120A continuous current, 12 AWG input leads, and .0005 ohm resistance is optimized for low-resistance power transfer and high-current throughput. The 12 AWG input leads support high-discharge rates, while the internal resistance of just .0005 ohms minimizes energy loss and heat buildup. These specifications ensure that the ESC delivers clean, efficient power to the motor, even during full-throttle operation or rapid directional changes.

Which RC boats are best suited for this ESC?

The RC boat ESC for Blackjack 29 V3, deep-V hulls, catamarans, and airboats with water-cooled housing is designed for medium to large-scale platforms that operate in open water or competitive racing environments. Its compact footprint fits most standard marine ESC trays, and its sensorless design simplifies installation and reduces failure points. Whether you're building a custom speed boat or upgrading a stock system, the Dynamite P-DYNM3876 offers plug-and-play compatibility with high-performance marine setups.
