Key Features
- IC3 Battery Connector — The adapter features a dedicated IC3 connector on the battery side, allowing you to utilise any lithium polymer or lithium-ion battery pack equipped with the industry-standard IC3 connector format. This widespread connector standard means you'll have maximum compatibility with a range of modern battery packs.
- JST-PH 2.0 Device Connector — On the device side, the adapter terminates in a JST-PH 2.0 connector, which is commonly found on smaller RC devices, receivers, speed controllers and power distribution systems. This connector format is renowned for its compact size and secure connection, making it ideal for space-constrained RC applications.
- Simple Plug-and-Play Design — The adapter requires no installation, soldering or configuration whatsoever. Simply plug one end into your IC3 battery and the other end into your JST-PH 2.0 equipped device, and you're ready to go. This ease of use makes it accessible to RC enthusiasts of all skill levels, from complete beginners discovering the world of RC to experienced modellers managing complex multi-vehicle setups.
- Proven Reliability — With a customer satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, this adapter has demonstrated dependable performance across countless RC setups. Users consistently report reliable connections and trouble-free operation, meaning you can focus on enjoying your RC experience rather than worrying about connector issues.
- Spektrum Quality — As an official Spektrum product, this adapter meets the quality standards expected from one of the hobby's most respected manufacturers. Spektrum's reputation for engineering excellence translates to this small but critical component, ensuring proper pin alignment, secure connections and long-term durability.
Technical Performance
The IC3 to JST-PH 2.0 adapter is engineered with precision to ensure reliable power delivery and data transmission between your battery pack and device. The IC3 connector is a popular standard in the RC industry, particularly common on medium to larger capacity battery packs, whilst the JST-PH 2.0 connector is widely utilised in smaller-scale RC applications, speed controllers, telemetry modules, and receiver components. The adapter itself contains no active electronics — it is purely a passive connector conversion cable, meaning there are no power losses, no voltage regulation, and no components that could fail. This simple design philosophy actually enhances reliability, as there are fewer things that could potentially go wrong. The connectors themselves are manufactured to exacting standards to ensure proper polarity, secure seating, and consistent electrical contact across repeated connect-disconnect cycles. For RC enthusiasts operating multiple vehicles with different connector ecosystems, this adapter becomes an indispensable tool that maximises the flexibility of your battery collection. Whether you're using 2S, 3S, 4S or higher cell-count lithium polymer batteries, the adapter safely passes through the full voltage and current capacity of your battery pack to your connected device.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I use this adapter with any IC3 battery for my RC car UK setup? — Yes, this adapter is designed to work with any battery pack equipped with an IC3 connector. Whether you're running small-scale RC cars, medium-sized buggies, or larger RC trucks, as long as your battery has an IC3 connector and your device has a JST-PH 2.0 connector, the adapter will facilitate a secure connection. The adapter itself is connector-agnostic and works with batteries of any cell count or capacity.
- Is this adapter suitable for beginners new to the RC hobby? — Absolutely. This adapter requires no technical knowledge or soldering skills whatsoever. Simply plug one end into your battery and the other into your device. It's a perfect example of how the RC hobby accommodates newcomers, allowing you to expand your setup without requiring advanced electronics knowledge. Many beginners find that adapters like this one are essential for managing multiple devices and battery combinations.
- What devices can I connect to the JST-PH 2.0 side of this adapter? — The JST-PH 2.0 connector is commonly found on smaller RC devices including certain speed controllers, telemetry modules, receiver units, and various electronic components used in compact RC setups. If your device features a JST-PH 2.0 connector port, this adapter will enable you to power or communicate with it using an IC3-equipped battery.
- How does this adapter compare to buying new batteries with matching connectors? — Purchasing new batteries with matching connectors would be significantly more expensive than using an adapter. This adapter represents an economical solution that lets you maximise the value of your existing battery collection. Rather than replacing perfectly functional batteries simply because they have a different connector type, this adapter bridges the gap and keeps your equipment compatible and useful across multiple applications.
- Will this adapter work with high-discharge-rate battery packs? — Yes. As a passive connector adapter with no active electronics, the IC3 to JST-PH 2.0 adapter poses no limitation on battery discharge rates. Whether you're using a 50C, 100C, or even higher discharge-rate battery pack, the adapter simply passes through the full capabilities of your battery to your connected device without any degradation or power loss.
