Slash 2WD Unassembled Kit

The Slash 2WD kit comes with factory-installed Extreme Heavy-Duty suspension components throughout. The rear axle carriers, caster blocks, and steering blocks are reinforced with more material and stronger construction, built for ultimate strength and durability.

The full-colour instruction book is easy to follow, with each section corresponding to a labelled bag and step-by-step instructions. True-to-scale illustrations and ruler charts help differentiate between different parts, while helpful assembly tips and clear illustrations are included throughout to take the frustration out of the assembly process.

The Slash's tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly but release in just seconds to access the chassis. The hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.

Rubber-sealed ball bearings are fitted at all exposed locations on the Slash, providing super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. The sealed construction means the bearings are virtually maintenance-free across the entire truck.

The planetary gear differential uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. The differential itself requires virtually no maintenance, and its efficient design puts maximum power to the wheels.

The large 550-size Titan 12T motor delivers dirt-roosting torque and lightning-quick acceleration. An integrated cooling fan lowers running temperatures for more fun behind the wheel. Requiring very little maintenance, the Titan 12T provides consistent performance run after run.

The Ultra Shocks come partially assembled and include silicone shock oil to simplify installation. Fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons, they feature pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips for adjusting ride height and spring pre-load.

Tough integrated nerf bars provide side chassis protection against the fender-to-fender impacts of track competition and backyard bashing. Built into the chassis rather than added as a separate piece, they keep the sides of the truck guarded during close-quarters racing.

The waterproof XL-5 electronic speed control features three separate drive profiles, low-voltage detection for LiPo batteries, and Thermal Shutdown Protection to prevent overheating. The patented Training Mode reduces power by 50%, giving new drivers the opportunity to develop their control skills before moving to full power.

The Slash runs on a long 13.2in wheelbase chassis that provides superior stability on high-speed straights, with over 3.5in of ground clearance to prevent bottoming out. Drain holes and a battery tray channel for routing servo wires to the receiver are also included.

The Slash features a patented sealed receiver box with antenna and servo wires routed neatly through a water-tight seal. A blue O-ring seals the box to protect the receiver from water, giving you the freedom to drive where you want, when you want.

Traxxas includes the 2075 waterproof digital high-torque servo in the Slash kit. The servo delivers precise steering authority and speed, making it suited to wheel-to-wheel racing whether in the backyard or on the track.

The Slash rolls on BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A tyres offering excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. Their authentic scale appearance and realistic performance add to the racing experience, and the tyres come mounted and pre-glued to satin chrome dual-profile SCT wheels for quick installation.

Slash's battery tray accommodates both flat and 'hump' pack NiMH batteries. The extended tray allows packs to be positioned forward or backward for front/rear weight bias tuning. An optional battery expander kit, sold separately, is also available for use with oversize batteries.

The TQ 2.4 GHz 2-channel transmitter features advanced programming for long-range control with smooth, glitch-free performance. The 2.4 GHz technology allows multiple vehicles to be raced side by side without interference. The ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day driving, with an internal antenna that is impervious to damage.

The Slash features a high-performance bellcrank steering system designed to minimise bump steer. This steering geometry is engineered to support precise wheel placement and increased cornering stability, forming a core part of the Slash's short course truck setup.

Heavy-duty steel turnbuckles allow trackside camber and toe adjustment for greater agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends add durability to the linkage and, unlike conventional rod ends, are designed not to pop off during a race.

The Slash uses pro-quality, high-grade metric hex-drive hardware throughout, chosen for extra strength and ease of installation. A black-oxide rust-resistant finish is applied across all fasteners, giving the truck a high-tech look and feel.

The clear body comes with factory-installed overspray film, ready to paint, and the kit includes window masking and full decal sheets.

The Slash's scale tube bumpers are engineered to handle the rigours of bumper-to-bumper bashing and are designed to absorb brutal impacts. Their scale appearance is a deliberate part of the design, with the bumpers shaped to look the part of a true short course race truck.

The sealed gearbox protects transmission components from dirt and rocks. The moulded motor plate features finned cooling channels that work in conjunction with the motor's internal fan, pulling air through the motor. Together, these two elements combine drivetrain protection with active motor cooling within a single integrated unit.

The Magnum 272 features all-metal gears running on sealed ball bearings. The Torque-Control slipper clutch and metal transmission gears are ready to accommodate power system upgrades, including the Velineon brushless power system, making the transmission compatible with a range of power configurations.

The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses semi-metallic pads and finned aluminium pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range, giving smooth, linear engagement. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
