Technical Performance

The Carisma M40S 2.0 4x10x3mm bearings are precision-engineered components built to exacting tolerances that ensure smooth, efficient operation within the Carisma M40S 2.0 platform. These small but vital components are responsible for supporting the rotational loads placed on axle shafts whilst minimising friction and drag. The 4x10x3mm specification indicates an inner diameter of 4mm, outer diameter of 10mm, and a width of 3mm—dimensions that are critical for maintaining the precise geometry of your RC car's drive system. By utilising quality bearings, you ensure that power delivery from the motor is transmitted efficiently to the wheels, maximising performance whether you are racing competitively or enjoying casual weekend bashing. Carisma bearings are manufactured using high-grade materials and precision production techniques, delivering the durability and consistency expected from a reputable RC car manufacturer. Regular inspection and timely replacement of bearings is a fundamental part of RC car maintenance, helping to prevent more costly damage to transmission components and ensuring your ready to run RC or race kit continues to deliver optimal handling and speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are 4x10x3mm bearings and why do I need them for my RC car? — Bearings are small cylindrical components that allow axle shafts to rotate freely within your RC car's chassis. The 4x10x3mm specification refers to the inner diameter (4mm), outer diameter (10mm), and width (3mm). These bearings are essential for reducing friction and wear, improving acceleration and top speed, and extending the lifespan of your drivetrain. Over time, bearings wear out due to constant rotation and the forces exerted during driving, so replacement is a normal and necessary part of RC maintenance.
  • How do I know if my Carisma M40S 2.0 bearings need replacing? — Common signs that bearings need replacement include grinding or squeaking noises from the drivetrain, resistance when manually spinning the wheels, rough or jerky rotation, and a noticeable decrease in top speed or acceleration. If you suspect worn bearings, inspection and replacement should be prioritised to prevent further damage to your RC car UK model.
  • Are these bearings compatible with other RC cars or only the Carisma M40S 2.0? — These bearings are specifically engineered for the Carisma M40S 2.0 platform and are designed to match the exact specifications required by this model. Whilst the 4x10x3mm dimensions may be used in other RC vehicles, always verify compatibility with your specific RC car model before purchasing to ensure proper fitment.
  • How many bearings do I need to replace at once? — The number of bearings required depends on your specific maintenance needs and the RC car's configuration. Most RC cars have multiple bearings supporting different axles and drive shafts. If you are replacing worn bearings due to visible damage or poor performance, it is often wise to replace all bearings in the affected area simultaneously to ensure consistent performance and avoid future maintenance issues.
  • Can a beginner install these bearings themselves? — Yes, replacing bearings is an achievable maintenance task for beginners with basic mechanical aptitude. However, the process requires disassembling part of your RC car's chassis and carefully removing and installing the bearings without damaging surrounding components. If you are uncomfortable with this process, a local RC hobby shop or experienced RC enthusiast can assist you with professional installation.
