Key Features
- DIN912 Standard Hex Socket Head Design — These screws conform to the internationally recognised DIN912 specification for hex socket head cap screws, ensuring precise fit in standard hex key sockets and compatibility with professional RC assembly tools found in workshops across the UK.
- Hardened Steel Construction — Manufactured from high-quality steel that has been hardened to provide exceptional strength and resistance to stripping, meaning these fasteners maintain their integrity through repeated assembly, disassembly, and vibration experienced during RC vehicle operation.
- M3 Metric Thread — The M3 diameter provides optimal sizing for medium-duty fastening applications throughout RC models, offering a balance between holding power and material compatibility with standard RC chassis and component designs.
- 6mm Length — The 6mm length is precisely engineered to work with common RC components including suspension arms, chassis plates, motor mounts, and gearbox housings without excessive protrusion or material interference.
- 10-Piece Pack — Each pack contains 10 screws, providing adequate quantity for multiple applications, repairs, or as backup fasteners to keep in your RC workshop spares collection.
- Hex Socket Head Configuration — The recessed hex socket design allows use with standard hex key wrenches and drivers, providing excellent grip and torque application without damaging the screw head—critical for precision RC assembly work.
- Professional-Grade Quality — Team Corally's reputation for quality ensures these fasteners meet the exacting standards required by competitive RC builders, race teams, and serious hobbyists throughout the UK.
Technical Performance
These Corally Steel Screws M3 x 6mm represent a significant upgrade over standard fasteners found in many budget RC kits. The hardened steel construction provides superior fatigue resistance, crucial for RC vehicles that experience constant vibration, shock loads, and repeated assembly cycles. The DIN912 specification ensures the hex socket is precisely machined, preventing the cam-out failures that can occur with inferior fasteners when using standard hex key drivers. The M3 diameter strikes the optimal balance for RC applications—large enough to provide genuine holding power when used in properly tapped holes, yet small enough to maintain the lightweight characteristics essential to RC vehicle performance. Whether you're replacing worn fasteners in your existing RC car collection, upgrading from plastic or inferior-quality metal screws, or assembling custom RC chassis, these steel hex socket head screws deliver the durability and reliability that distinguishes professional-quality RC builds from amateur efforts. The 6mm length proves ideal across a wide range of RC applications, from suspension geometry work on your RC buggy to interior chassis fastening on your RC monster truck or crawler. For serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand performance and longevity, these screws are an investment in build quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are DIN912 hex socket head screws and why should I use them for my RC model? — DIN912 is an international standard specification for hex socket head cap screws that guarantees precise dimensions, proper material hardening, and correct socket geometry. Using DIN912-compliant fasteners like these Corally screws means your RC components will assemble with perfect fit, maintain consistent torque, resist stripping, and work reliably through countless assembly and disassembly cycles. This is why competitive RC builders and race teams specify DIN912 fasteners exclusively.
- Are these screws suitable for all types of RC vehicles? — Yes, the M3 x 6mm size is versatile enough for use across most RC cars, trucks, buggies, crawlers, and other scale models. These fasteners work particularly well for suspension components, motor mounts, gearbox covers, and chassis brackets on 1/10 scale RC vehicles and similarly-sized models. However, you should verify the specific requirements of your RC model before ordering.
- What makes steel fasteners better than the plastic screws that came with my RC kit? — Steel fasteners offer dramatically superior strength, durability, and resistance to stripping compared to plastic screws. Plastic fasteners can fail under vibration, snap when over-torqued, and strip easily when repeatedly assembled and disassembled. Steel hex socket head screws like these from Corally maintain their integrity through hundreds of assembly cycles and provide genuine holding power for critical RC components—this is why upgrading to quality steel fasteners is one of the first improvements serious RC enthusiasts make.
- How many screws do I need for my RC vehicle upgrade? — A single 10-piece pack may be sufficient for specific repair or replacement needs, but many RC builders purchase multiple packs to completely upgrade their vehicle's fastener system. Consider the number of components you want to secure and purchase accordingly—having spare fasteners is always wise when maintaining your RC car collection.
- Can I use these screws with my existing hex key drivers and tools? — Absolutely. These DIN912-standard hex socket head screws are designed to work with any standard metric hex key set found in UK RC workshops and hobby shops. The precise socket geometry ensures excellent grip without cam-out or damage to your tools.
- What is the difference between hex socket head screws and other fastener types? — Hex socket head screws offer several advantages over Phillips head, slotted, or square-drive fasteners. The recessed hex socket provides superior grip, allows higher torque application without tool slippage, looks cleaner on finished RC models, and resists damage during use. For professional-quality RC builds, hex socket head fasteners are the standard choice.
