Overview

The Team Associated FT Hard Anodised Shock Bodies 0.71 (AS6437) are precision-engineered Factory Team components designed for serious RC enthusiasts who demand durability and consistent performance from their suspension systems. Whether you're running an RC10 or maintaining your classic RC car UK setup, these shock bodies deliver the quality and longevity expected from genuine Team Associated parts. Factory Team components represent the pinnacle of Associated's engineering expertise, developed through years of competitive racing and refined through countless hours on the track. These hard anodised shock bodies are essential upgrades for anyone looking to refresh worn shock hardware or maintain the consistent suspension feel that separates a well-tuned RC car from an average one.

Hard anodised shock bodies have become the gold standard in RC suspension technology, offering significant advantages over standard finishes. The hard anodised treatment creates a protective layer that reduces friction and enhances wear resistance, ensuring your shocks operate smoothly during extended running sessions. This premium finish is particularly valuable for competitive racers and weekend bashers alike, as it helps maintain predictable damping characteristics over time. The 0.71 diameter specification is a crucial measurement that ensures compatibility with Team Associated RC10 platforms and related models, making this a genuine OEM replacement part rather than an aftermarket alternative.

These shock bodies are ideal for anyone serious about maintaining their RC car to the highest standards. If you've noticed your shocks becoming sluggish or inconsistent, or if you simply want to ensure your suspension is performing at its absolute best, the AS6437 shock bodies are the solution. RC Model Shop stocks genuine Team Associated components, and these hard anodised shock bodies represent authentic factory-quality parts that will integrate seamlessly into quality maintenance routines and professional tuning setups where precision and longevity truly matter.

Key Features

  • Hard Anodised Finish — The robust hard anodised treatment provides a low-friction surface that significantly reduces wear over time, helping your shock bodies maintain their performance characteristics through hundreds of runs and extended racing sessions.
  • Factory Team Quality — As genuine Team Associated FT components, these shock bodies represent the same quality and precision used in factory racing programs, ensuring you're getting OEM-grade parts rather than inferior aftermarket alternatives.
  • Enhanced Wear Resistance — The specialised anodising process creates a durable protective layer that resists corrosion, extends component lifespan, and maintains consistent damping performance even under demanding conditions.
  • Precision Diameter — The 0.71 diameter specification ensures perfect compatibility with Team Associated RC10 platforms and related models, guaranteeing proper fit and consistent shock performance.
  • Low-Friction Operation — The hard anodised surface minimises internal friction within the shock body, allowing your dampers to work more efficiently and respond faster to track conditions.
  • Pack of Two — This package includes two shock bodies, sufficient for refreshing both the front and rear shocks on your RC car, or providing spares for extended running sessions.
  • Perfect for Maintenance — Designed specifically for refreshing worn shock hardware, these components integrate neatly into quality maintenance routines and are essential for anyone who wants to keep their RC car performing at peak efficiency.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated FT Hard Anodised Shock Bodies 0.71 represent the convergence of materials science and precision engineering applied to RC suspension design. The hard anodising process creates a surface hardness far superior to standard anodising, which translates directly into superior wear resistance and longevity. This is not merely a cosmetic upgrade; the hard anodised finish creates a fundamentally different material surface that behaves differently under the demanding conditions of RC racing and bashing. The 0.71 diameter specification has been precisely engineered to work with Team Associated's suspension geometry, ensuring that shock bodies maintain their intended motion characteristics without binding or excessive play. Built from high-quality aluminium alloy that has been specially treated, these shock bodies combine light weight with exceptional strength, a critical balance in competitive RC racing where every gram matters and every component must withstand repeated impacts and hard landings. The low-friction properties of the hard anodised surface mean that dampers will compress and extend more smoothly, providing more predictable handling and allowing drivers to fine-tune their suspension setup with greater precision. These are genuine OEM parts that have been used in factory racing programs, meaning they've been tested and proven in the most demanding competitive environments. Whether you're refreshing worn components or building a brand new suspension setup, these shock bodies deliver the performance and reliability that separates professional-grade equipment from consumer-grade alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these genuine Team Associated Factory Team parts? — Yes, absolutely. The AS6437 is the official Team Associated model number, and these are genuine OEM parts manufactured by Team Associated. You can verify authenticity through the barcode 784695064379 and the official SKU 6437 printed on the packaging.
  • What RC cars are these shock bodies compatible with? — These 0.71 diameter hard anodised shock bodies are specifically designed for the Team Associated RC10 and related RC10 platform variants, including the RC10 Factory Team, RC10 Gold Edition, RC10 Classic, RC10 4WD, RC10GB, and other RC10-based models. Always verify compatibility with your specific vehicle before purchasing.
  • What's the difference between hard anodised and standard anodised shock bodies? — Hard anodised shock bodies feature a much thicker and harder protective oxide layer compared to standard anodising. This results in superior wear resistance, reduced friction, and extended component lifespan. Hard anodised finishes are the choice of competitive racers who demand maximum durability and consistent performance.
  • Why would I need to replace shock bodies? — Over time and with extensive use, shock bodies can become worn, scratched, or develop internal imperfections that affect damping performance. Replacing worn shock bodies is a crucial maintenance task that restores your suspension to like-new condition and ensures consistent, predictable handling characteristics.
  • How often should I replace shock bodies? — This depends entirely on your usage. Weekend casual drivers might replace them annually or less frequently, whilst competitive racers may refresh them every few months. If you notice inconsistent damping or sluggish shock response, it's definitely time for replacement.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — Whilst these are quality components, replacing shock bodies requires some mechanical knowledge and proper tools. Beginners should consult their vehicle manual or ask experienced RC enthusiasts for guidance, or consider having them installed by a local RC hobby shop if you're uncertain about the process.
  • Is this a pack of one or two? — This package includes two shock bodies, which is the standard requirement for a complete suspension refresh on most RC cars. Two bodies are needed for proper front and rear suspension setup.
  • How do these perform in wet conditions? — The hard anodised finish provides excellent corrosion resistance, making these shock bodies suitable for wet weather running. However, after wet running, flush the shock bodies with fresh water and dry thoroughly to maintain optimal performance.
