Overview
The Associated RC8B3.2/RC8B3.2e Front Upper Suspension Arms (AS81442) are premium replacement suspension components designed for serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand reliability and performance from their 1/8 scale buggies and truggies. These front upper arms are engineered to provide the foundation your RC car needs for consistent, predictable handling and longevity on the track or bash field. Whether you're competing in local championships, tackling indoor circuit racing, or pushing your RC buggy to its limits during weekend sessions, quality suspension arms are absolutely essential to maintaining peak performance and protecting your investment.
This is not just another generic spare part—these are genuine Associated suspension arms built to the exacting standards expected by professional team drivers and competitive racers across the UK and beyond. The product comes from Associated Electrics, a manufacturer recognised worldwide for producing competition-grade RC components that perform under the toughest conditions. If you own an RC8B3.2 or RC8B3.2e buggy, having genuine replacement arms in your spares box is simply good maintenance practice, ensuring you can quickly swap out worn or damaged components and get back to racing without compromise.
Many UK RC competitors understand that suspension geometry is critical to lap times, handling feel, and overall reliability. The front upper suspension arms play a vital role in determining how your buggy tracks through corners, how it responds to throttle input, and how well it absorbs impacts from rough terrain. Genuine Associated parts ensure that your suspension geometry remains true and your RC experience remains competitive.

Technical Performance
The RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e are 1/8 scale competition buggies that demand precision engineering in every component, and the front upper suspension arms are no exception. These arms work in concert with the rest of your suspension system—including shocks, anti-roll bars, and geometry settings—to create the handling characteristics that determine your competitiveness on the track. The arms must be rigid enough to maintain accurate geometry under cornering loads, yet robust enough to absorb the punishment of jumps, bumps and high-speed runs without cracking or bending. Associated has engineered these parts with the exact specifications required for RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e platforms, ensuring perfect fitment and performance. The material composition and design allow the suspension to work effectively whether you're running on indoor carpet circuits, outdoor clay tracks, or mixed terrain, and the arms maintain their dimensional stability even after repeated impacts. For UK-based RC racers competing in clubs, championships and casual bash sessions, having genuine replacement suspension arms means you can maintain optimal suspension geometry and enjoy the handling characteristics that make the RC8B3.2/RC8B3.2e platform so popular among competitive drivers. HD material variants are specifically designed for 1/8 scale vehicles and provide enhanced stiffness compared to standard materials, offering an upgrade path for drivers seeking maximum suspension performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these suspension arms compatible with both the RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e? — Yes, part number AS81442 is designed to fit both the RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e platforms. Always verify the part number against your vehicle's manual to ensure you have the correct component before installation.
- What makes genuine Associated suspension arms better than aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine Associated arms are engineered specifically for the RC8B3.2/RC8B3.2e geometry and specifications, ensuring perfect fitment, accurate suspension geometry, and the performance characteristics that professional drivers rely on. Counterfeit or generic alternatives may have slight dimension variations that affect handling and longevity.
- How often should I replace my front upper suspension arms? — Suspension arms should be inspected regularly for cracks, bends or other damage. High-competition drivers may replace them seasonally, whilst casual racers can typically use them for several years with proper maintenance. Any visible damage should prompt immediate replacement to maintain safe handling and prevent further component damage.
- Is there a difference between standard and HD material suspension arms? — Associated offers HD (Heavy Duty) polymer material suspension arms that provide increased stiffness and durability compared to standard materials. The HD material creates a stiffer suspension platform, which some drivers prefer for specific track conditions or driving styles, though they are not as stiff as the hard or carbon materials used in the 1/10 scale series. The standard arms offer excellent baseline performance for most drivers.
- Can I upgrade to HD material arms if I currently have standard arms? — Yes, the HD material arms are offered as an optional upgrade for RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e owners. Swapping from standard to HD arms is a straightforward maintenance procedure that can help customise your suspension characteristics based on your preferences and track conditions.
- Where can I find assembly instructions or fitment guides? — The manufacturer provides detailed documentation including press releases and technical resources. Consult your RC8B3.2 or RC8B3.2e owner's manual for complete assembly, disassembly and maintenance procedures. The part number AS81442 should match the specifications in your manual to ensure correct ordering.
- Why should I buy from an authorised UK retailer? — Purchasing from an authorised retailer like RC Model Shop guarantees you receive genuine Associated products with full manufacturer support. Unauthorised sellers may supply counterfeit or damaged components that compromise your vehicle's performance and reliability.
