Key Features

  • Four distinct spring rates — This assortment includes four different spring rates (2.0, 1.6, 0.8 and 0.4) colour-coded as Blue, Red, White and Yellow respectively, allowing you to precisely adjust your suspension stiffness to match your terrain, driving style and vehicle weight distribution. This level of tuning capability means you can optimise your crawler for maximum traction and controlled movement.
  • Direct compatibility with Rock Krawler 100mm shocks — These springs are engineered as direct fits for RC4WD Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks (Z-D0050), ensuring perfect fitment without modification or adapters that could compromise performance or reliability.
  • Complete pair coverage — The assortment contains enough springs to fully equip one complete pair of shocks, with four springs of each rate included (16 springs total), giving you flexibility to experiment with different configurations or keep spares on hand for those muddy terrain days.
  • Colour-coded identification system — Each spring features a small colour marking on the bottom to determine the spring rate at a glance, eliminating confusion during setup changes and making it quick and easy to swap rates when you need to adjust your suspension characteristics.
  • Precision engineering and compact design — These springs are manufactured to exacting standards with carefully controlled outer diameters ranging from 15.2mm down to 14.1mm, ensuring consistent performance and reliable suspension behaviour across all four rates. The standardised 12.6mm inner diameter provides secure fitment on shock bodies.
  • Lightweight construction — At just 35 grams total weight for the complete assortment, these springs won't add significant mass to your crawler while still delivering the durability and performance you need for demanding rock crawling sessions.

Technical Performance

The RC4WD 100MM Rock Krawler Shock Spring Assortment delivers professional-grade suspension tuning capability for scale crawlers. With four distinct spring rates (2.0 Blue, 1.6 Red, 0.8 White, and 0.4 Yellow), this kit addresses the critical suspension variables that affect crawler performance: ride height, traction, body roll, and ground contact. The springs are precisely engineered with controlled outer diameters ranging from 0.59 inches (15.2mm) for the stiffest Blue rate down to 0.55 inches (14.1mm) for the softest Yellow rate, whilst maintaining a consistent 0.49 inch (12.6mm) inner diameter for reliable fitment. Each spring measures 1.53 inches (39mm) in length, making them perfectly proportioned for 100mm shock absorbers. The total package weight is just 1.23 ounces (35g), ensuring minimal impact on your crawler's weight distribution. The colour-coded identification system built into each spring allows you to instantly verify spring rates during setup changes, eliminating the possibility of incorrect pairing. These springs are specifically designed for use with RC4WD Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance without the need for modification or adaptation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which RC4WD shocks are these springs compatible with? — These 100mm springs are specifically designed for RC4WD Rock Krawler RRD Emulsion Scale Dual Spring Shocks (model Z-D0050). They will not fit standard single-spring shocks or other manufacturer's shock bodies, so always verify compatibility before purchasing replacement springs for your crawler.
  • How do I know which spring rate to use on my crawler? — The colour-coded system makes selection straightforward: Blue (2.0) is the stiffest and best for heavier vehicles or softer terrain; Red (1.6) offers moderate stiffness; White (0.8) is softer; and Yellow (0.4) is the lightest rate, ideal for light vehicles or sensitive terrain where maximum traction is needed. Start with the middle rates (Red or White) and adjust based on how your crawler handles.
  • Can I use different spring rates on the front and rear? — Yes, absolutely. Many experienced crawlers use different rates front and rear to dial in the exact handling characteristics they want. The included assortment gives you enough springs to experiment with various combinations across your vehicle's suspension.
  • How often should I replace these springs? — High-quality springs like these typically last a long time, but they can fatigue or lose their shape after thousands of cycles, particularly if heavily used on rough terrain. If your crawler sits lower than normal or handles inconsistently despite driver adjustment, replacement springs may be needed.
  • What is the difference between spring rate 2.0 and 0.4? — The 2.0 (Blue) rate provides five times the stiffness of the 0.4 (Yellow) rate. Stiffer springs (2.0) resist compression, keeping the body higher and reducing roll, whilst softer springs (0.4) compress more easily, allowing the suspension to follow terrain more closely and maintain traction on uneven surfaces.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Yes, this is an excellent learning tool for beginners interested in suspension tuning. The colour-coded system makes it easy to understand how spring rates affect handling, and swapping springs is a straightforward process that teaches valuable crawler setup skills without requiring technical expertise.
