Overview
The RPM Rear A-Arms for Associated Pro2 SC10 and Trophy Rat represent a significant upgrade over factory-standard suspension components. Designed specifically for serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand durability and reliability, these reinforced a-arms are engineered to dramatically improve crash survivability during intense bashing sessions and competitive racing. Whether you're running a brushless RC short course truck on UK terrain or tackling challenging off-road courses, RPM's proven engineering delivers the strength and longevity your vehicle needs to stay in the action longer.
RPM has built its reputation on creating aftermarket components that outperform original equipment, and these rear a-arms are no exception. By combining increased material density around critical hinge pin areas with strategic reinforcement of the support beams, RPM has eliminated many of the failure points found in stock Associated a-arms. The black colour looks aggressive and professional, making these arms an ideal choice for anyone upgrading their Associated Pro2 SC10, Trophy Rat, or compatible models to competition-ready status.
For RC car enthusiasts shopping for performance suspension upgrades in the UK, these a-arms represent tremendous value. They replace worn or damaged stock units and provide immediate handling improvements and enhanced durability. With RPM's decades of experience in RC component design, you can trust these arms to handle the punishment your hobby demands.
Key Features
- Dramatically Improved Crash Survivability — RPM engineers specifically designed these rear a-arms to withstand impacts and crashes far better than stock Associated components, meaning your Trophy Rat or Pro2 SC10 will stay race-ready after tumbles and collisions that would damage lesser parts.
- Reinforced Hinge Pin Areas — By increasing the amount of material surrounding the hinge pins, RPM has created a much stronger connection point that resists bending and breaking under stress, which is one of the most common failure points in original equipment.
- In-Line Hinge Pin Screws — RPM ditched the offset button head screws used in stock a-arms and replaced them with tried-and-true in-line screws that prevent hinge pins from sliding out while eliminating extra holes that create stress concentration points where cracks start.
- Beefier Support Beams Throughout — Stock rear a-arms measure just 0.37 inches (9.4mm) at their thickest point, tapering down to 0.27 inches (6.86mm) at their thinnest, but RPM a-arms maintain a full 0.4 inches (10.16mm) thickness over nearly their entire length, providing substantially greater structural rigidity.
- Engineered Taper at Hinge Pins — While the main support beams stay thick for maximum strength, RPM only tapers the a-arms slightly at the hinge pin bosses to match the maximum allowable size of the hinge pin boss, maintaining strength while ensuring perfect fitment.
- Superior Material Composition — Constructed from RPM's proprietary nearly indestructible blend of engineering grade nylons, these a-arms deliver the kind of performance and reliability you can trust in critical suspension components during both casual bashing and competitive racing.
- Increased Width of Support Beams — Not only are these a-arms thicker than stock, but the width of the support beams is also increased, creating a more robust structure that resists flex and maintains consistent handling characteristics.
- Sold in Pairs — This package includes a complete pair of rear a-arms, providing everything needed to replace both sides of your vehicle's rear suspension for balanced, predictable handling.
- Eliminates Need for Inner Spacers — These RPM a-arms replace the stock Associated RPM71015 rear a-arms and eliminate the need for the stock inner a-arm spacer, simplifying installation and reducing parts count.
Technical Performance
The engineering behind RPM's rear a-arms showcases a deep understanding of how suspension components fail and how to prevent those failures through smart design. The increase in material thickness from 0.37 inches to 0.4 inches might seem modest on paper, but when applied across nearly the entire length of the arm, it translates to substantially greater resistance to bending forces during aggressive cornering, jumps, and crashes. The focus on eliminating extra holes in the a-arm structure is particularly clever—fewer holes mean fewer places for stress cracks to initiate, a critical advantage in RC components subjected to thousands of flex cycles during a day's worth of driving. The decision to use in-line hinge pin screws rather than offset button head screws represents a fundamental improvement in both strength and reliability, as this design has been proven through years of real-world racing applications. These a-arms are manufactured from engineering grade nylon compound that has been refined through RPM's extensive experience building aftermarket suspension components, resulting in arms that balance strength with appropriate flex characteristics for different driving conditions. Whether you're pushing your Trophy Rat through rocky terrain or competing with your Pro2 SC10 in short course racing formats, these arms provide the structural integrity needed to keep your vehicle competitive and durable throughout the season.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these rear a-arms fit my Associated Pro2 SC10 or Trophy Rat? — Yes, these RPM rear a-arms are specifically engineered for the Associated Pro2 SC10 and Trophy Rat, and they're also compatible with the Pro SC10, Reflex DB10, RC10T5M, and RC10SC5M models that run the Associated RPM71015 a-arms. They simply replace your current rear a-arms during a straightforward swap.
- What makes RPM a-arms stronger than the stock Associated parts? — RPM a-arms are engineered with significantly thicker support beams (0.4 inches versus 0.37 inches on stock arms), wider beam widths, in-line hinge pin screws that prevent failure, and increased material around the hinge pin areas. These design improvements combine to create suspension components that resist bending, cracking, and impact damage far better than original equipment.
- Do I need to replace anything else when installing these a-arms? — No, RPM rear a-arms eliminate the need for the stock inner a-arm spacer (RPM71015), simplifying your build or upgrade. They're designed to drop directly into place of your current rear a-arms.
- Are these a-arms suitable for both casual bashing and competition racing? — Absolutely. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying casual runs with your RC Trophy Truck or a serious competitor pushing your Pro2 SC10 to the limit at race events, these a-arms provide the durability and structural integrity required for both applications.
- What material are these a-arms made from? — RPM rear a-arms are manufactured from engineering grade nylon compound, a nearly indestructible material blend that RPM has developed and refined through years of experience building high-performance aftermarket RC components. This material provides the perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and impact resistance.
- How do these a-arms improve my vehicle's performance? — By providing more rigid, durable suspension geometry, these a-arms deliver more consistent handling characteristics, better crash survivability, and longer component life. You'll experience more predictable cornering, better jump landing stability, and dramatically reduced risk of suspension failure during aggressive driving.
