Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 75 WT is an essential maintenance product for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision performance from their shock absorbers. Whether you're running a competitive RC car, a weekend basher, or a precision crawler, the quality of your shock oil directly impacts your vehicle's handling characteristics, suspension response, and overall performance on the track or terrain. This 150ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone shock oil is specifically formulated to deliver consistent damping performance and reliable shock operation across a wide range of RC driving conditions and temperatures.
Team Corally has established itself as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality RC components and maintenance products, and this shock oil reflects their commitment to precision engineering. The 75 WT viscosity grade provides the ideal balance of fluid resistance and shock responsiveness for a wide variety of RC vehicles, from 1/10 scale buggies and trucks to larger platform RC cars. When you're investing in performance upgrades and tuning your RC setup, using the correct shock oil is just as important as selecting quality suspension components, because even the best shock absorbers cannot perform optimally without the right fluid inside them.
If you've ever noticed your RC car's suspension feeling sluggish, unresponsive, or inconsistent after several races or bashing sessions, the issue is often shock oil degradation or contamination. This genuine Corally shock oil ensures your suspensions work exactly as the manufacturer intended, delivering predictable, repeatable performance session after session. Whether you're preparing for competitive RC racing in the UK or simply maintaining your RC collection to the highest standard, this ultra-pure formulation is an investment in better handling and longer shock absorber life.
Key Features
- 75 WT Viscosity Grade — The 75 weight rating provides the ideal damping characteristics for a broad range of RC vehicle types and driving styles, offering a perfect middle ground between too-thin oil that offers insufficient damping and too-thick oil that creates excessive suspension stiffness and poor response.
- 100% Pure Silicone Oil — Formulated from ultra-pure silicone, this shock oil delivers consistent performance without additives that might separate or degrade over time, ensuring your shocks maintain reliable damping across numerous driving sessions and seasonal temperature variations.
- 150ml Capacity — The 150ml bottle provides sufficient quantity to service multiple shock absorbers or to keep as a spare in your maintenance kit, ensuring you always have quality shock oil available when you need to refresh or repair your suspension components.
- Ultra-Pure Formulation — Designed specifically for maximum purity and stability, this shock oil resists breakdown under the demanding conditions that RC shock absorbers experience, including rapid compression and extension cycles, temperature fluctuations, and extended outdoor use in variable UK weather conditions.
- Team Corally Quality — Manufactured by Team Corally, a recognised authority in RC suspension and drivetrain components, this shock oil meets the same exacting standards as their complete range of precision RC parts and accessories.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 75 WT represents the intersection of chemical precision and practical RC engineering. At 75 WT viscosity, this oil sits in the sweet spot for most RC applications, providing sufficient damping force to control suspension movement and absorb impacts without creating excessive stiffness that would compromise traction, handling precision, or ride comfort. The ultra-pure silicone formulation means there are no contaminants, water absorption issues, or degradation products that would accumulate in your shock cylinders over time. Unlike cheaper shock oils that may separate or lose viscosity consistency with temperature changes, this premium formulation maintains stable performance whether you're running your RC car on hot summer days in the UK or during cooler spring and autumn bashing sessions. The 150ml capacity is carefully measured to ensure you have enough product for multiple shock services or to maintain an inventory of spare bottles without excessive waste. For competitive RC racers and serious hobbyists, maintaining shock oil quality is as important as keeping your tyres properly inflated and your bearings clean—it's a fundamental part of keeping your RC vehicle performing at its best.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity shock oil should I use for my RC car? — The 75 WT grade in this product is suitable for a wide range of RC vehicles and driving styles, offering a balanced middle viscosity that works well for both off-road buggies, trucks, and on-road touring cars. However, lighter vehicles or those designed for high-speed on-road racing might benefit from thinner oil, whilst heavier vehicles or those used for rock crawling might prefer thicker oil. Always check your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations first.
- How often should I change my shock oil? — Shock oil should be inspected regularly and changed whenever it appears dirty, discoloured, or when you notice your suspension responding sluggishly. For frequent racers, this might be every 5-10 competitive sessions; for casual bashers, perhaps a few times per year. Keeping fresh oil in your shocks is one of the easiest performance upgrades you can make.
- Why is ultra-pure silicone better than other shock oils? — Ultra-pure formulations provide consistent viscosity across temperature ranges, resist breakdown from the intense compression and extension cycles that shock absorbers experience, and don't contain additives that might separate or degrade over time. This means better predictability, longer shock absorber life, and more reliable performance across multiple driving sessions.
- Can I use this shock oil in all my RC vehicles? — Yes, the 75 WT viscosity is suitable for most standard RC applications including buggies, trucks, touring cars, and bashers. However, if you're running specialised setups like ultra-lightweight racing cars or extreme rock crawlers, you might need to consult your manufacturer's specifications for optimal viscosity recommendations.
- Is this shock oil suitable for sealed or open shock absorbers? — This ultra-pure silicone oil is designed for both sealed and open shock absorber designs, though it's particularly valuable in sealed designs where oil purity directly impacts long-term performance and reliability.
