Overview

The Corally Diff Syrup Ultra Pure Silicone 5000 CPS is a premium differential oil specifically engineered for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand consistent, reliable performance from their models. Whether you're running a competitive track machine, a weekend basher, or a precision crawler, this ultra-pure silicone fluid is manufactured to the highest European standards and offers exceptional temperature stability and batch-to-batch consistency. Team Corally has created a comprehensive range of differential oils that cater to every driving style and condition, and this 5000 CPS variant represents the mid-range viscosity option for drivers seeking a balanced setup.

This is not just another generic RC diff oil—it's a precision-engineered fluid that has been rheometer calibrated to ensure the highest possible consistency and quality from every single production batch. For RC car UK buyers who take their hobby seriously, using the correct differential oil viscosity is absolutely critical to achieving optimal handling characteristics, smooth corner entry, and predictable differential behaviour. The 5000 CPS specification sits in the middle of Team Corally's extensive range, making it suitable for a wide variety of RC applications and driving conditions.

What sets this product apart from basic alternatives is the European manufacturing and bottling process, combined with industry-proven CPS (centipoise) viscosity ratings. This means you're getting a product that has been tested, verified, and quality-controlled to standards that match the best in the hobby. Whether you're fine-tuning a 1/10 scale buggy, setting up a touring car for competition, or adjusting your RC drift car for the perfect balance, having the correct differential oil is essential for achieving the handling characteristics you're looking for.

Key Features

  • Drop by Drop Flip Top Cap — The intelligent flip-top applicator design allows you to dispense the oil precisely, one drop at a time, giving you complete control over how much differential fluid you're adding to your RC car's differential assembly. This prevents over-application and waste, and is far more practical than pouring from a traditional bottle.
  • Viscosity Indication Label on Cap — The cap clearly displays the CST grade of the oil contained within, making it impossible to confuse different viscosity grades when you have multiple oils in your workshop or pit box. This is a practical feature that saves time during maintenance and setup adjustments.
  • 100% Pure Silicone Oil — Unlike blended or synthetic alternatives, this product is pure silicone oil, which provides superior temperature stability and consistency across a wider range of ambient conditions. Pure silicone maintains its viscosity better whether you're racing indoors in summer heat or outdoors in cooler UK winter conditions.
  • Rheometer Calibrated for Consistency — Each production batch of Team Corally Diff Syrup is rheometer calibrated, meaning every bottle you purchase has been scientifically tested and verified to meet the exact viscosity specification. This eliminates batch-to-batch variation that you might experience with less rigorous manufacturers.
  • Temperature Stable Performance — The formulation is engineered to maintain consistent viscosity across a wide temperature range, which is particularly valuable during extended RC track sessions or multi-race competition days where drivetrain temperatures can fluctuate significantly.
  • 60ml / 2oz Generous Capacity — The 60 millilitre bottle provides sufficient volume for multiple differential top-ups, adjustments, and experiments with different viscosity grades as you dial in your RC car's setup over time.
  • Manufactured and Bottled in Europe — Team Corally maintains complete quality control by manufacturing and bottling in Europe, rather than outsourcing production, which ensures consistent quality and allows rapid batch verification and testing.
  • Comprehensive Viscosity Range Available — While this specific product is 5000 CPS, Team Corally manufactures the Diff Syrup range from 3000 CPS up to 100,000 CPS with numerous intermediate stages, allowing you to find the exact viscosity your RC car needs for its specific differential setup.

Technical Performance

The Corally Diff Syrup 5000 CPS operates at a viscosity of 5,000 centistokes (cSt), measured at the industry standard temperature. This viscosity specification places it in the mid-range category of differential oils, making it suitable for general-purpose RC applications including touring cars, buggy racing, and recreational bashing. The pure silicone formulation provides superior performance characteristics compared to mineral-based or partially synthetic oils. Team Corally's commitment to European manufacturing means that every aspect of production—from raw material selection through to final bottling—is subject to rigorous quality control. The rheometer calibration process ensures that the actual viscosity of the fluid matches the stated specification within tight tolerances, eliminating the frustration of receiving oil that's too thick or too thin. For RC car setup in the UK, where ambient temperatures can vary from cold winter months to warm summer weekends, this temperature-stable formulation maintains its performance characteristics consistently. The drop-by-drop dispensing system is engineered with precision in mind, allowing competitive RC drivers to make fine adjustments to their differential behaviour without over-applying fluid and creating performance inconsistencies. Whether you're running a 1/10 scale touring car on an indoor carpet track, a 1/8 buggy on a dirt circuit, or any other RC application that requires differential control, this 5000 CPS grade provides a reliable, predictable platform for tuning.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between 5000 CPS and other viscosity grades? — CPS stands for centipoise, a standard industry measurement of fluid viscosity. Lower numbers like 3000 CPS are thinner and flow more freely, whilst higher numbers like 10,000 CPS or above are thicker and provide more resistance. The 5000 CPS grade is a mid-range option; if your RC car feels like the differential is locking up or binding, you might need a thinner oil, but if the differential feels too loose or unpredictable, a thicker oil would help.
  • How do I know which viscosity grade I need for my RC car? — This depends entirely on your specific RC car model, driving style, and track conditions. Consult your vehicle's manual for the manufacturer's recommendations, or experiment with different viscosity grades to find the setup that gives you the handling characteristics you want. Many competitive RC drivers keep multiple grades on hand to adjust their setup for different weather conditions or track surfaces.
  • Is the Corally Diff Syrup suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst differential oil selection might seem technical, using a quality oil like Team Corally's product is important for all levels of RC drivers. Beginners will benefit from the clear labelling and precise dispensing, which makes it easy to avoid mistakes. As you progress in the hobby, you'll develop a deeper understanding of how viscosity affects handling, allowing you to make more sophisticated tuning adjustments.
  • Can I use this oil in all types of RC differentials? — This product is specifically formulated for RC differentials, making it suitable for any RC car that uses a differential assembly, including buggies, touring cars, monster trucks, and more. However, always check your specific vehicle's manual to confirm the recommended viscosity grade and oil type.
  • How long does one 60ml bottle last? — A 60ml bottle provides multiple top-ups for most RC cars, as differential oils are used in relatively small quantities. The number of fill-ups you'll get depends on your specific differential capacity and how frequently you maintain your vehicle. Most RC enthusiasts find a 60ml bottle represents good value and lasts through several months of regular usage.
  • Why is European manufacturing important for differential oil? — European manufacturing by Team Corally ensures tight quality control throughout the production process. The rheometer calibration that each batch undergoes means you're receiving oil that meets the exact specification stated on the label, eliminating batch-to-batch variation that might occur with less rigorous manufacturing standards.
  • Does temperature affect the performance of this oil? — Temperature can affect viscosity, which is why Team Corally specifically engineered this product to be temperature stable. This means the oil maintains its viscosity characteristics across a wider range of temperatures, providing consistent differential performance whether you're racing indoors in heated venues or outdoors on cool UK days.
