Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 1000 CPS is a premium suspension fluid designed for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision tuning and consistent performance from their shock absorbers. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your RC buggy, a weekend basher optimising your RC monster truck, or an experienced modeller seeking the highest quality maintenance products, this European-manufactured shock oil delivers the reliability and consistency you need. Corally's commitment to quality means every bottle is rheometer calibrated to ensure batch-to-batch consistency, so you can trust that your suspension will perform identically from fill to fill.
This 1000 CPS viscosity rating represents the thickest option in Corally's comprehensive shock oil range, making it ideal for applications requiring maximum damping resistance. The ultra-pure silicone formula is temperature stable, meaning your shock performance remains consistent whether you're racing in cold British winters or warm summer conditions. At 60ml per bottle, you have plenty of fluid for multiple shock fills, refills, and adjustments, making this an essential addition to any serious RC enthusiast's tool kit.
Manufactured and bottled in Europe to the highest standards, Corally shock oils are trusted by RC modellers worldwide who understand that suspension tuning is crucial to vehicle handling and performance. The convenient flip-top cap with drop-by-drop dispensing ensures you can adjust viscosity with precision, whilst the viscosity indication label on the cap keeps track of your specification at a glance.
Key Features
- Ultra Pure Silicone Formula — Made from 100% pure silicone oil, this shock fluid delivers the cleanest, most reliable damping characteristics without additives or contaminants that could affect performance or degrade seals over time.

- Rheometer Calibrated — Each production batch undergoes rheometer calibration to guarantee industry-standard consistency, meaning every bottle performs identically to the last, eliminating variables in your suspension setup.
- Temperature Stable Performance — The formula maintains consistent viscosity across temperature ranges, ensuring your suspension geometry and handling remain stable whether racing in cold or warm conditions across the UK.
- Drop-by-Drop Flip Top Cap — Precision dispensing cap allows you to add oil one drop at a time, giving you fine control when fine-tuning shock viscosity to match your driving style and track conditions.
- Viscosity Indication Label — The cap features a clear labelling system so you can instantly identify the CPS grade, helping you keep track of which shocks contain which viscosity when running multiple vehicles or setups.
- Complete Range Available — Corally offers shock oils from thin 100 CPS up to this thick 1000 CPS with numerous stages in between, allowing you to select exactly the right viscosity for your specific application and tuning needs.
- European Manufacturing Quality — Manufactured and bottled in Europe to strict quality controls, ensuring a premium product that meets the demands of serious RC enthusiasts and competitive racers.
- 60ml Capacity — The 60ml bottle (2oz) provides substantial fluid for multiple shock fills and adjustments, making it economical for regular tuning sessions and maintenance.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Oil 1000 CPS is engineered for precision suspension tuning in RC vehicles across all categories, from competitive off-road buggies to high-speed electric RC cars. The 1000 cSt viscosity specification (measured in industry-standard Centistokes units) represents the thickest formulation in Corally's shock oil portfolio, delivering maximum damping force when shock absorbers compress. This thickness is particularly suited to vehicles running on rough or bumpy terrain, where softer suspension would result in excessive bottoming out. The rheometer calibration process ensures that viscosity measurements are consistent and reliable, meeting international standards for precision fluids. Unlike generic or budget shock oils, Corally's ultra-pure silicone formulation contains no additives, colourings, or proprietary chemicals that might degrade synthetic seals, corrode aluminium shock bodies, or break down under UV exposure during outdoor RC sessions. The temperature-stable characteristics mean the fluid maintains its thickness and damping characteristics whether you're racing in Scottish highlands in winter or during summer competition events in the Midlands. The 60ml bottle format is perfect for RC modellers who maintain multiple vehicles or regularly adjust suspension geometry between sessions, as you'll have enough fluid for several complete shock refills without waste.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does 1000 CPS mean for RC shock absorbers? — CPS stands for Centipoise and measures the thickness or viscosity of the oil. 1000 CPS is the thickest grade in Corally's shock oil range, providing maximum damping force and resistance to compression. This thicker oil is ideal for vehicles that need firm suspension response or where lighter oils would allow excessive bottoming out during aggressive driving or rough terrain.
- Is Corally Shock Oil suitable for all RC cars and trucks? — Corally shock oils are universal fluids compatible with any RC vehicle that uses replaceable shock oil, including RC buggies, RC monster trucks, RC stadium trucks, RC crawlers, and more. However, each vehicle has an optimal viscosity specification; the 1000 CPS is the thickest option and best suited to vehicles requiring maximum damping, heavier buggies, or setups where softer springs are combined with firm damping.
- Why is rheometer calibration important in shock oil? — Rheometer calibration measures the exact viscosity of each production batch to ensure consistency. This means every bottle of Corally 1000 CPS performs identically, eliminating batch-to-batch variation that could cause handling changes between refills. For competitive racers and serious RC enthusiasts, this consistency is essential for reliable suspension tuning.
- How do I use the drop-by-drop cap for tuning? — The flip-top dispenser cap allows you to add oil one drop at a time into your shock absorbers. This enables precise viscosity adjustment; adding drops increases thickness and damping, allowing you to fine-tune suspension response to match your driving style, track conditions, or vehicle weight.
- Is this oil temperature stable? — Yes, Corally's ultra-pure silicone formula is temperature stable, maintaining consistent viscosity across temperature ranges. This means your suspension geometry and handling characteristics remain stable whether you're racing in cold weather in Scotland or warm summer conditions in the south of England, preventing performance drift due to temperature changes.
- Why choose 1000 CPS over lighter grades? — The 1000 CPS grade is the thickest available in Corally's range, providing maximum damping and suspension stiffness. Choose this grade if your vehicle specification calls for it, if you're running very soft springs, if you're driving on rough terrain where hard-working shocks are needed, or if you want maximum resistance to bottom-out during aggressive driving.
- How long does one 60ml bottle last? — A typical RC shock absorber holds 3-5ml of fluid, so a 60ml bottle provides enough for approximately 12-20 shock fills depending on your vehicle's shock capacity. Most RC enthusiasts refill shocks regularly for tuning, so one bottle typically lasts several weeks to months of regular use.
- Is this suitable for competitive racing? — Yes, Corally shock oils are used by competitive RC racers worldwide. The rheometer calibration and ultra-pure formula make this ideal for racers who demand consistency and precision in suspension tuning, ensuring your setup remains stable from practice runs through to race heats.
