Overview

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 150 CPS is a premium suspension fluid designed specifically for RC car shock absorbers. Whether you're setting up a competitive race car, a weekend basher, or fine-tuning an off-road buggy, having the correct shock oil viscosity is essential for optimal suspension performance. This 60ml bottle of 150 CPS silicone oil represents the perfect middle ground for many RC applications, offering consistent damping characteristics that help your vehicle handle bumps, cornering and high-speed impacts with precision and reliability. Based in the UK, RC Model Shop stocks a comprehensive range of Corally maintenance products, and this shock oil is a must-have consumable for any serious RC enthusiast.

Corally has built its reputation on manufacturing genuine, high-quality RC components and consumables. This shock oil is manufactured and bottled in Europe, ensuring strict quality control standards that enthusiasts across the UK and beyond have come to trust. The ultra-pure silicone formulation provides stable damping performance across a wide temperature range, meaning your suspension will perform consistently whether you're racing in summer heat or autumn chill. The 150 CPS viscosity sits at the mid-range of the complete Corally shock oil lineup, making it suitable for general-purpose RC car applications where you need balanced suspension responsiveness.

Every bottle is rheometer calibrated during production to ensure consistency from batch to batch. This level of quality assurance means you can confidently refill your shocks, knowing the oil will perform exactly as expected. If you're new to RC car setup, understanding shock oil viscosity is your first step towards better handling and improved lap times.

Key Features

  • Ultra Pure Silicone Formulation — The 100% pure silicone oil base ensures there are no contaminants or additives that could affect shock damping performance or degrade seals over time, making it ideal for frequent maintenance and adjustment on your RC car suspension.
  • Rheometer Calibrated — Each production batch is individually calibrated using precision rheometer equipment to ensure the viscosity specification is exactly 150 CPS, meaning every bottle performs identically and delivers predictable damping characteristics.
  • 150 CPS Viscosity Rating — The 150 centistoke (cSt) viscosity is measured using industry-proven standards, providing a medium damping rate suitable for a wide range of RC car platforms including buggies, trucks and touring cars used in the UK RC racing community.
  • Drop-by-Drop Flip Top Cap — The precision flip-top bottle design allows you to add shock oil one drop at a time, giving you complete control when fine-tuning damping rates and preventing wasteful spillage during setup and adjustment.
  • Temperature Stable Performance — This premium formulation maintains consistent viscosity across varying ambient temperatures, ensuring your suspension performs reliably whether you're racing on a hot summer track day or in cooler autumn conditions common in the UK.
  • Viscosity Indication Label on Cap — A clear labelled cap displays the 150 CPS rating at a glance, making it easy to identify the correct shock oil when you have multiple viscosity grades in your workshop, saving time during car setup.
  • European Manufactured Quality — Being manufactured and bottled in Europe ensures strict quality standards and consistency, supporting the reliability and performance that RC enthusiasts expect from Corally products.
  • 60ml Convenient Size — The 60ml bottle (equivalent to 2oz) contains enough shock oil for multiple shock refills and adjustments, making it practical for ongoing maintenance without excessive waste or storage requirements.

Technical Performance

The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 150 CPS delivers professional-grade suspension fluid performance for competitive and recreational RC car applications. The 150 CPS viscosity specification is industry-calibrated, meaning it has been tested and verified to perform consistently across batches. This middle-range viscosity is widely used in RC motorsport because it provides balanced damping characteristics — stiff enough to control chassis movement during cornering and braking, yet fluid enough to allow suspension compliance over bumps and track imperfections. The ultra-pure silicone formulation ensures compatibility with all modern shock seals and components, whilst avoiding the performance degradation that can occur with lower-quality oils containing contaminants. The temperature-stable nature of the formulation means viscosity remains consistent whether you're racing in summer heat (when oils naturally thin) or during cooler weather (when they can thicken), ensuring predictable suspension behaviour throughout the season. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK looking to maintain or upgrade their suspension setup, this oil represents genuine Corally manufacturing standards with each batch individually verified by precision measurement equipment. Whether you're adjusting shock rates for a specific track condition or simply maintaining your RC car during the racing season, this 60ml bottle provides the quality fluid you need to keep your suspension performing at its peak.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does 150 CPS mean and how do I know if this is the right viscosity for my RC car? — CPS stands for centipoise, an industry-standard measurement of fluid viscosity. The 150 CPS specification indicates a medium-thickness shock oil suitable for general-purpose RC applications. Thinner oils (100 CPS) provide softer damping for bumpy tracks, whilst thicker oils (200+ CPS) offer firmer damping for smoother surfaces. Most RC car owners should start with 150 CPS and adjust based on handling feedback during testing and racing.
  • Is Corally shock oil compatible with all RC car shock absorbers? — Yes, Corally ultra-pure silicone shock oil is compatible with all modern RC car suspension systems. The 100% pure silicone formulation works with standard shock seals and components found on buggies, trucks, touring cars and other RC platforms used in the UK.
  • How often should I change my shock oil? — Shock oil should be refreshed whenever you notice damping performance changing, typically every 10-15 hours of running or when you're making major suspension adjustments. The 60ml bottle size is convenient for periodic maintenance and allows you to replace worn oil without excessive waste.
  • What is the advantage of rheometer-calibrated shock oil? — Rheometer calibration ensures precise viscosity measurement of every production batch, meaning consistency from bottle to bottle. This quality control is essential for competitive RC racing where suspension predictability directly affects lap times and handling feel, as recommended by UK RC motorsport competitors.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. Whilst beginners don't typically need to adjust shock oil frequently, having the correct viscosity grade (such as this 150 CPS) is important for baseline suspension setup. The drop-by-drop flip-top design makes it easy and safe to use, and the clear labelling prevents confusion when selecting the right oil for your RC car.
  • Why is it manufactured and bottled in Europe? — European manufacturing ensures strict quality control standards and consistency in production. This commitment to quality is why Corally products are trusted by serious RC enthusiasts and competitors throughout the UK and across Europe.
