Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 300 CPS is a precision-engineered shock absorber fluid designed for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand consistent, reliable performance from their suspension systems. Whether you're running a competitive RC buggy, a high-speed RC monster truck, or a precision-tuned RC crawler, the quality of your shock oil directly impacts handling, stability and overall driving experience. This 60ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone shock oil represents the gold standard in suspension tuning, manufactured and bottled in Europe to the strictest quality standards.
Corally has built a reputation for delivering performance-grade RC components that rival far more expensive alternatives, and their shock oil range is no exception. The 300 CPS viscosity sits in the mid-range of Corally's comprehensive shock oil portfolio, making it suitable for a wide variety of driving conditions and RC vehicle types. From weekend bashers to serious racers, having the correct shock oil viscosity is fundamental to dialling in your RC car's suspension geometry and achieving predictable, responsive handling that transforms your on-track performance.
Unlike generic or inconsistent shock oils that vary from batch to batch, Corally's commitment to quality control means every bottle of this 300 CPS shock oil is rheometer calibrated during production to ensure absolute consistency across every batch. This level of precision is what separates amateur-hour RC setups from properly tuned machines that respond predictably lap after lap.
Key Features
- Ultra-Pure Silicone Formulation — Manufactured from 100% pure silicone oil, this shock fluid delivers superior thermal stability and predictable viscosity across a wide temperature range, ensuring your RC car's suspension performs consistently whether you're driving in summer heat or cooler British weather conditions.
- Rheometer Calibrated — Each production batch is individually calibrated using precision rheometer equipment, guaranteeing that every 60ml bottle meets exact viscosity specifications and maintains consistency from batch to batch, eliminating performance variables caused by inferior shock oils.
- 300 CPS Viscosity Rating — The 300 centiStoke rating positions this oil in the medium-viscosity range, offering an excellent balance between damping control and responsiveness for most RC applications, from buggy racing to general bashing and crawling disciplines.
- European Manufacture and Bottling — Produced and packaged in Europe to rigorous quality standards, this shock oil reflects Corally's commitment to manufacturing excellence and quality assurance that you simply won't find in cheaper imported alternatives.
- Drop-by-Drop Flip-Top Cap — The innovative flip-top dispenser cap allows precise, drop-by-drop application without waste or spillage, making it easy to adjust your shock oil viscosity in small increments to fine-tune your RC car's suspension behaviour.
- Clear Viscosity Indication Label — The cap features a prominent viscosity marking label, ensuring you always know exactly which grade you're using and preventing accidental mixing of different viscosity oils in your RC car's shock absorbers.
- Temperature Stable Performance — Formulated to maintain consistent viscosity across varying ambient temperatures, this shock oil ensures your RC vehicle's suspension geometry and damping characteristics remain predictable whether you're driving in warm summer conditions or cooler autumn weather typical across the UK.
- Complete Range Availability — Corally manufactures shock oils covering the complete viscosity spectrum from thin 100 CPS through to thick 1000 CPS with numerous stages in between, allowing serious RC tuners to dial in the perfect suspension setup for their specific driving style and track conditions.
Technical Performance
The 300 CPS viscosity grade represents a medium-weight shock oil suitable for balanced suspension tuning across a broad range of RC vehicles and driving conditions. Measured in centistokes (cSt), which is the industry-proven standard for oil viscosity rating, the 300 CPS specification means this oil flows at a controlled rate that provides adequate damping without being so thick that it restricts shock shaft movement or creates sluggish suspension response. In practical terms, this viscosity works exceptionally well for general-purpose RC car use, from casual weekend bashing to competitive racing applications. The oil's temperature stability ensures that whether you're driving during a cool British winter or in summer heat, the viscosity remains consistent, preventing your suspension from becoming too soft in warm conditions or too stiff in cold weather. The rheometer calibration process employed by Corally during manufacturing is industrial best practice, ensuring that this 300 CPS oil is precisely calibrated to specification—not approximate, not close enough, but exactly right. This level of quality control is what separates Corally shock oils from budget alternatives that may vary significantly in actual viscosity from bottle to bottle. For RC enthusiasts who understand suspension tuning, having consistent, reliable shock oil is as important as having quality shocks themselves, because even the finest shock absorbers cannot perform optimally if filled with inconsistent or incorrect viscosity fluid.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does 300 CPS mean and how do I know if this viscosity is right for my RC car? — CPS stands for centipoise, the industry standard measurement for oil viscosity. 300 CPS indicates a medium-weight shock oil that balances damping control with suspension responsiveness. Lighter oils (100-150 CPS) offer quicker suspension response but less damping; heavier oils (600-1000 CPS) provide more damping but can make suspension feel sluggish. For most UK RC drivers using buggies, trucks and crawlers, 300 CPS is an excellent starting point. If your suspension feels too soft and bouncy, move to a heavier viscosity; if it feels too stiff and unresponsive, try a lighter oil. Corally's complete range from 100-1000 CPS allows precise fine-tuning.
- Why is rheometer calibration important in shock oil? — A rheometer is precision laboratory equipment that measures oil viscosity with scientific accuracy. Many cheaper shock oils are simply bottled without quality verification, meaning one bottle might be noticeably thinner or thicker than another, inconsistently affecting your RC car's handling. Corally's rheometer calibration guarantees that every 60ml bottle of this 300 CPS oil is precisely within specification, eliminating performance surprises and ensuring your RC suspension tunes remain consistent from session to session.
- Is this shock oil suitable for all types of RC vehicles? — The 300 CPS viscosity is versatile enough for most RC applications including buggies, trucks, monster trucks, short-course racers and even crawlers. However, different vehicles and driving styles may benefit from different viscosities. Racing-focused setups or very bumpy tracks might prefer slightly heavier oil for better damping; smooth tracks or high-speed applications might prefer lighter oil for quicker response. The beauty of Corally's range is that you can experiment and find the perfect viscosity for your specific setup.
- How much shock oil does one 60ml bottle contain and how many shocks can I fill? — This bottle contains 60ml (2oz) of shock oil. Most RC car shocks hold between 8-15ml of oil each, meaning one bottle can service multiple complete shock setups or allow for numerous viscosity adjustments and experimenting. The flip-top dispenser cap allows precise drop-by-drop control, preventing waste.
- Is Corally shock oil temperature stable across UK weather conditions? — Yes, this ultra-pure silicone formulation is specifically engineered to maintain consistent viscosity across varying temperatures. This temperature stability is crucial for UK RC drivers who may experience significant weather variation throughout the year, ensuring your suspension behaves predictably whether driving during warm summer months or cooler autumn and winter conditions.
- Can I mix different viscosity Corally shock oils? — Whilst technically possible, mixing different viscosity oils defeats the purpose of precision tuning. Each viscosity grade is formulated to specific performance characteristics. If you need a viscosity between two standard grades, it's better to experiment with each grade individually to determine which works best for your setup, or research intermediate grades within Corally's complete product range.
