Overview
The RC Overhaul 25T Aluminium Clamp Servo Horn (Black) is a precision-engineered servo horn designed for RC car enthusiasts throughout the UK who demand reliable control and professional aesthetics. Whether you're running a competitive race setup, weekend bashing your RC car, or fine-tuning your RC vehicle's steering response, this aluminium servo horn delivers the performance and durability you need. The 25T spline fitment makes it compatible with popular servo brands including Futaba and Savox, ensuring broad compatibility across most modern RC cars and RC vehicles used in the UK hobby scene.
This extended servo horn combines smart looks with secure control, finished in black anodising with distinctive silver chamfered edging and a milled centre that gives it a professional appearance on any RC setup. The precision engineering extends beyond aesthetics — the dual mounting positions offer genuine flexibility for your steering geometry, while the primary screw and clamp screw fixing system ensures your servo horn stays precisely where you set it during demanding RC driving sessions. For UK RC enthusiasts building or upgrading their RC car, this is a genuine upgrade that enhances both control response and visual appeal.
Built to withstand the rigours of regular RC car use, whether on-road racing or off-road bashing, the RCO 25T represents excellent value for RC hobbyists seeking quality aftermarket servo components. The clamp mechanism provides additional security beyond standard horn fixings, critical for maintaining consistent steering geometry through hundreds of driving sessions.
Key Features
- 25T Spline Fitment — This industry-standard spline count ensures compatibility with the most popular servo brands used in modern RC cars, including Futaba and Savox models commonly found in UK RC collections.
- Dual Mounting Positions — Two mounting points offering 15mm and 19mm throw options allow you to optimise your steering response and geometry to suit your specific RC car setup, driving style and track conditions.
- Black Anodised Aluminium Construction — The premium aluminium material provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio essential for responsive RC car performance, whilst the black anodising offers superior corrosion resistance and professional appearance.
- Silver Chamfered Edging and Milled Centre — Beyond functionality, the distinctive silver chamfered edges and milled centre detail create a refined, professional look that stands out on high-end RC car builds and competition setups.
- Primary Screw Plus Clamp Screw Fixing — The dual-fixing system combines a conventional primary screw with an additional clamp screw, providing exceptional security and preventing horn slippage under heavy steering load during competitive RC driving or aggressive bashing sessions.
- M3 Mounting Holes — Standard M3 hole spacing ensures broad compatibility with aftermarket servo upgrades and allows for secure, vibration-resistant mounting on your RC car's steering linkage.
- Extended Arm Design — The extended length provides increased servo throw, allowing finer steering adjustments and smoother control inputs critical for precision RC driving and competitive racing.
Technical Performance
The RCO 25T Aluminium Clamp Servo Horn represents genuine engineering excellence in aftermarket RC components. Machined from premium aluminium and finished with black anodising, this servo horn delivers the durability and precision expected by serious RC car builders throughout the UK. The 25T spline configuration is the industry standard for quality servo units from manufacturers like Futaba and Savox, ensuring seamless integration with your existing RC car electronics. The dual mounting positions at 15mm and 19mm throw give you unprecedented control over your vehicle's steering geometry, allowing fine-tuning for different track conditions, driving styles and RC car platforms. The 28mm overall dimension is optimised for standard RC car servo installations, whilst the M3 mounting holes provide a secure, vibration-resistant connection. The combination of primary screw and clamp screw fixings ensures the horn cannot slip or rotate under the extreme steering forces generated during competitive racing or aggressive off-road bashing. The milled centre and chamfered edging are not merely cosmetic — they reduce weight whilst maintaining structural integrity, critical for maintaining responsive servo performance across hundreds of driving sessions. Whether upgrading an existing RC car or building a competition-grade setup, this servo horn delivers measurable improvements in steering precision and reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What servo brands does the RCO 25T servo horn fit? — The 25T spline fitment is compatible with Futaba and Savox servo models, the most popular brands in UK RC car hobby. This broad compatibility makes it an excellent upgrade choice for most standard RC car builds.
- What is the difference between the 15mm and 19mm throw positions? — The two mounting positions allow you to adjust your servo's effective range and steering response. The 15mm throw position provides more sensitive steering ideal for on-road racing, whilst the 19mm position offers greater throw range suitable for off-road RC cars requiring larger steering angles for obstacle navigation.
- Is this servo horn suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst this is a quality aftermarket component that many experienced RC enthusiasts choose for upgraded builds, the installation process is straightforward. The clamp screw mechanism is actually more user-friendly than some cheaper alternatives, as the dual-fixing system provides greater tolerance and makes achieving secure mounting more reliable for first-time builders.
- Why does this servo horn have both a primary screw and clamp screw? — The dual-fixing system provides exceptional security that single-screw horns cannot match. The primary screw secures the horn onto the servo spline, whilst the clamp screw applies additional pressure, preventing any possibility of slippage during hard steering inputs. This is particularly important in competitive RC car racing where consistent steering geometry directly impacts lap times and handling performance.
- What makes the black anodised finish superior to other options? — Black anodising provides superior corrosion resistance compared to bare aluminium, critical for RC cars regularly exposed to moisture, dust and track contaminants. The anodising process hardens the aluminium surface, increasing wear resistance and ensuring your servo horn maintains its performance and appearance through years of RC car use.
- Is the 28mm dimension standard for RC car servos? — Yes, the 28mm dimension is the industry-standard size for servo horns on typical RC car applications, ensuring compatibility with standard servo mounts and linkage systems used across most UK RC car platforms.
