Overview
The Corally Attack Foam Tyres 1/8 Circuit 37 Shore Rear represent a premium choice for competitive RC circuit racing enthusiasts across the UK. These professionally engineered foam tyres are specifically designed for 1/8 scale RC cars, delivering exceptional grip and performance on circuit racing surfaces. Whether you're competing at your local RC club or preparing for regional championships, these rear tyres offer the precision handling and consistency that serious racers demand from their equipment.
Foam tyres have long been the preferred choice of top-level RC racers because they provide superior traction and responsiveness compared to rubber alternatives. The Corally Attack range has built a strong reputation in the competitive RC car UK racing scene for combining consistent performance with durability that withstands the demands of intensive track use. If you're looking to upgrade your 1/8 scale buggy or truggy with professional-grade tyres, the Attack Foam range delivers the competitive advantage you need.
This specific variant comes mounted and glued onto genuine carbon fibre rims, meaning you can install them straight onto your car without additional preparation. The set includes two complete rear wheels, giving you a matched pair that will deliver balanced handling characteristics across both sides of your vehicle. For anyone serious about improving their RC car performance in competitive circuit racing, investing in quality foam tyres like these is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make.
Key Features
- 37 Shore Hardness Foam Compound — The 37 shore rating indicates a medium-hardness foam compound that strikes an excellent balance between grip and durability for circuit racing conditions. This hardness level is specifically engineered for racing and competition use, offering superior traction during acceleration, braking and cornering whilst maintaining the structural integrity needed for extended track sessions.
- Pre-Mounted and Glued Configuration — These tyres arrive ready to use, already mounted and glued onto high-quality rims. This saves you the time and hassle of mounting and gluing the tyres yourself, ensuring consistent and professional installation that meets competition standards straight out of the box.
- Premium Carbon Fibre Rims — The wheels feature genuine carbon fibre rims that combine exceptional strength with minimal weight. Carbon fibre construction is the standard choice in competitive RC racing because it offers superior durability during high-speed cornering whilst keeping unsprung weight to an absolute minimum for improved handling.
- 1/8 Scale Circuit Specialist Tyres — These tyres are specifically developed for 1/8 scale circuit racing cars, meaning the tread pattern, compound formulation and overall construction have been optimised for on-road racing rather than off-road conditions. This specialisation ensures you get maximum performance when racing on circuit tracks.
- 76mm Diameter Design — The 76mm tyre diameter is engineered to provide the correct rolling circumference and ride height geometry for competitive 1/8 scale racing vehicles, ensuring your suspension setup works as intended and delivering the handling balance that championship-winning setups require.
- Zero Offset Rims — These wheels feature zero offset geometry, meaning they sit perfectly centred on your car's hubs without any inward or outward bias. This neutral offset configuration is ideal for circuit racing where precise geometry and consistent handling are critical to lap time performance.
- Professional Competition-Grade Quality — Every aspect of these tyres has been engineered to competition standards, from the foam compound formulation to the carbon rim construction. This is genuine professional-grade equipment trusted by serious RC racers who demand nothing less than the highest quality.
Technical Performance
The Corally Attack Foam Tyres represent a significant step forward in 1/8 scale circuit racing performance. The 37 shore hardness rating positions these tyres in the competition category, delivering the optimal balance between aggressive grip and long-term durability that serious racers require. The foam construction ensures consistent performance across varying track temperatures and conditions, something that becomes increasingly important during multi-round racing events where track conditions may change throughout the day.
The 76mm diameter provides the correct rolling circumference for competitive 1/8 scale racing applications, and when paired with the carbon fibre rims, you achieve an exceptionally lightweight wheel assembly that minimises rotational inertia and improves acceleration response. The zero offset configuration ensures your car's suspension geometry remains true and your handling remains predictable through every corner. These tyres are engineered for serious racers who understand that marginal gains in traction, responsiveness and consistency can mean the difference between winning and finishing second. The pre-glued mounting saves valuable preparation time whilst ensuring professional installation standards that you might struggle to achieve independently.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between 37 shore and other foam tyre hardness ratings for 1/8 circuit racing? — Foam tyre hardness is measured in shore degrees, with lower numbers indicating softer compounds and higher numbers indicating harder compounds. The 37 shore rating represents a medium-hardness competition compound that provides excellent grip for circuit racing whilst maintaining enough durability for extended track use. Softer compounds like 30-35 shore offer more grip in cool conditions but wear faster, whilst harder compounds like 40+ shore last longer but provide less traction. For most UK circuit racing conditions and indoor track racing, 37 shore offers the best all-round compromise.
- Are these tyres suitable for beginners to 1/8 scale RC racing? — These are professional-grade competition tyres designed specifically for serious racers rather than beginners. If you're new to 1/8 scale circuit racing, you might want to start with entry-level foam tyres before moving to premium competition equipment. However, if you're committed to competitive racing and want to progress quickly, investing in quality tyres like these will help you develop your skills with professional-standard equipment.
- Can I use these rear tyres on the front of my 1/8 RC car? — No, these are specifically engineered as rear tyres and should only be used on the rear of your vehicle. The tread pattern and performance characteristics are optimised for rear wheel applications. Using them on the front would compromise your handling and may result in unpredictable behaviour during cornering.
- Do these tyres come already glued to the rims? — Yes, these tyres arrive pre-mounted and already glued onto the carbon fibre rims, ready for immediate installation on your 1/8 scale RC car. This saves you the time and expertise required for professional tyre gluing and ensures consistency with competition standards.
- What is the advantage of carbon fibre rims over plastic or aluminium? — Carbon fibre rims offer several advantages over alternative materials: they combine exceptional strength with minimal weight, which improves acceleration and handling responsiveness; they maintain their shape under the extreme forces of high-speed cornering; and they look and feel like genuinely professional equipment. For competitive racing where every marginal gain counts, carbon fibre is the standard choice among serious racers.
