Overview
The Team Associated B74 10° Caster Block (AS92177) is a genuine factory component designed to maintain precise front-end geometry on your Team Associated B74 4WD buggy. This essential suspension component is perfect for RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand accurate steering characteristics and reliable performance across a range of track conditions. Whether you're maintaining your existing setup or repairing your buggy after a hard day of racing, this authentic caster block ensures your chassis geometry remains true to specification.
Caster angle is a critical aspect of RC buggy setup that directly influences how your vehicle handles on the track. This 10-degree caster block is engineered to set the front hub caster angle precisely, allowing you to fine-tune your buggy's straight-line stability, steering feel, and corner-entry response. For serious RC car UK hobbyists and weekend bashers alike, having the correct caster geometry makes the difference between a buggy that feels planted and responsive versus one that wanders or feels unpredictable. The 10-degree option represents a balanced setup suitable for routine maintenance and repair work where accurate steering characteristics are essential.
As an authorised dealer of Team Associated products, RC Model Shop stocks genuine factory components like this caster block to ensure your RC buggy performs exactly as the manufacturer intended. Installation is straightforward when following your B74 kit manual, and correct orientation ensures smooth suspension movement and consistent handling characteristics.

Technical Performance
The Team Associated B74 Caster Block represents precision engineering at its finest for RC buggy suspension setup. At 10 degrees of caster angle, this component sits at the sweet spot for balanced handling across most track conditions. The caster angle—the angle between the steering axis and vertical when viewed from the side—is one of the most fundamental aspects of suspension geometry. A proper caster angle ensures that your steering remains responsive without being twitchy, provides self-centering action that keeps your buggy tracking straight during acceleration, and allows smooth weight transfer during cornering. For the Team Associated B74 4WD buggy platform, maintaining correct caster geometry is essential for consistent lap times and reliable handling whether you're racing competitively or enjoying recreational bashing sessions. The precision machining and quality materials ensure this component will provide years of reliable service, and having genuine factory parts on hand means you can quickly restore your buggy to specification after wear or damage occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does a caster block do on an RC buggy? — A caster block sets the front hub caster angle, which is the angle of the steering axis relative to vertical. This angle influences your buggy's straight-line stability (higher caster generally provides better self-centring), steering feel (affecting how responsive the steering is), and corner-entry response (affecting how the buggy transitions into and through corners). Getting the caster angle correct is fundamental to achieving consistent, predictable handling.
- Will this caster block fit my Team Associated B74? — Yes, this is a genuine factory component specifically designed for the Team Associated B74 4WD buggy platform. It is also listed as compatible with the B74.1, B74.2, and B74.2D variants, making it suitable for a range of B-series buggies in the Team Associated lineup.
- How do I install the B74 caster block? — Installation should be performed following the instructions in your Team Associated B74 kit manual, which will provide specific guidance on correct orientation and assembly. Ensure smooth suspension movement after installation. If you're unsure about any step, contact our team at RC Model Shop for advice.
- When should I replace my caster block? — Caster blocks typically need replacement if they become worn, cracked, or damaged through normal use or crashes. If you notice your buggy's steering geometry has changed or your handling feels inconsistent, inspecting and possibly replacing the caster block is a good troubleshooting step. Having a spare on hand is recommended for serious racers.
- What's the difference between 10-degree and other caster angles? — Different caster angles suit different preferences and track conditions. A 10-degree caster block provides balanced characteristics suitable for general use and routine maintenance. Other angles may be available separately; lower angles provide quicker steering response whilst higher angles provide more straight-line stability and self-centring action. Experimentation with different angles allows you to dial in the handling to your preference.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is a replacement component rather than a complete buggy, so it's intended for those who already own a Team Associated B74 and need to replace or maintain their caster block. If you're new to RC buggies, our team at RC Model Shop can recommend complete ready-to-run or kit options suitable for beginners.
