Overview
The Team Associated B6.1 FT Front Anti-Roll Bar Set (AS91822) is an essential handling upgrade for 1/10 scale off-road RC buggies, designed to give you precise control over front-end roll stiffness and cornering balance. Whether you're racing competitively or enjoying weekend bashings, this Factory Team component allows you to fine-tune your RC car's handling characteristics to match specific track conditions and your personal driving style. Anti-roll bars, also known as sway bars, are recognised by serious racers and enthusiasts across the UK as a crucial setup aid for improving consistency, steering response, and overall vehicle stability—particularly on higher-grip tracks where maintaining a planted front end through fast corners is essential.
This FT set offers a precise, adjustable way to dial in handling without compromising overall suspension movement or ride quality. If you're looking to improve transition behaviour through corners, reduce understeer, or simply achieve a more stable front end on your 1/10 scale RC buggy, this anti-roll bar set is an ideal option. It's particularly useful for racers seeking that extra edge of performance and control, making it a popular choice among competitive drivers and dedicated hobbyists shopping for RC car upgrades in the UK.
The set is fully compatible with the Team Associated B6 platform, including B6.1, B6.1D, B6.1DL, B6.2, B6.2D, B6.3, B6.3D, B6.4, and B6.4D models. With multiple anti-roll bar rates available in this set, you have genuine choice and flexibility to experiment and find the perfect setup for your particular track and driving technique.
Key Features
- Multiple Anti-Roll Bar Rates — This set includes three different stiffness options: white (0.8 rate), grey (0.9 rate), and blue (1.0 rate), allowing you to experiment with different handling characteristics and dial in the exact amount of front-end roll control that suits your driving style and track conditions.
- Precise Handling Tuning — Anti-roll bars work by reducing body roll during cornering, which improves weight transfer consistency and steering response, allowing you to maintain better control and drive more aggressively through turns without the front end feeling loose or unpredictable.
- Improved Cornering Balance — By adjusting the stiffness of your front anti-roll bar, you can fine-tune how your RC buggy transitions from straight-line driving into corners and back out again, reducing understeer and improving the overall balance of your chassis.
- Enhanced Transition Behaviour — One of the biggest advantages of running an anti-roll bar is improved mid-corner stability and smoother weight transitions, which means you'll feel more consistent feedback through your RC transmitter and can drive with greater confidence on higher-grip surfaces.
- Factory Team Quality — This is genuine Team Associated Factory Team equipment, manufactured to the same exacting standards used by professional racing teams, ensuring reliable performance and long-term durability.
- Easy Installation — The anti-roll bar set is designed for straightforward installation on compatible B6 platform buggies, with detailed assembly instructions provided to guide you through the setup process.
- Wide Platform Compatibility — Works with multiple generations of the B6 platform, making this a versatile upgrade whether you're running a newer B6.4D or an earlier B6.1 model.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated B6.1 FT Front Anti-Roll Bar Set represents the manufacturer's commitment to precision engineering and competitive performance. This is not a beginner modification—it's a serious setup tool used by dedicated racers and experienced enthusiasts who understand the importance of chassis tuning. The three included anti-roll bars offer progressive stiffness options: the white bar at 0.8 rate provides lighter roll control suitable for looser, lower-grip surfaces; the grey bar at 0.9 rate offers intermediate roll resistance for versatile all-around performance; and the blue bar at 1.0 rate delivers maximum front-end stiffness for locked-in, predictable handling on high-grip clay or rubber tracks. The bars are engineered to work seamlessly with the B6 platform's existing suspension geometry, complementing the independent double-wishbone front suspension without requiring any chassis modifications or additional components beyond the optional ball cups (part #91820, sold separately). Materials and construction reflect Team Associated's high standards, with the bars designed to withstand the rigours of competitive racing whilst maintaining consistent performance lap after lap. The anti-roll bar mechanism works by connecting the two front suspension arms through a torsion bar, effectively coupling their movement and reducing independent suspension travel during cornering. This controlled roll transfer improves driver feedback, makes steering inputs more linear and predictable, and allows for more aggressive cornering speeds on tracks with good grip. Whether you're competing in regional or national RC buggy championships, or simply want to unlock the full potential of your B6 platform buggy, this Factory Team component delivers measurable improvements in handling precision and on-track consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is an anti-roll bar and how does it improve my RC buggy's handling? — An anti-roll bar (also called a sway bar) is a suspension component that reduces body roll during cornering by mechanically linking the left and right suspension arms together. When your RC buggy leans into a turn, the anti-roll bar resists this movement, keeping the chassis more level and improving weight transfer consistency. This results in more predictable steering response, reduced understeer, and better traction through corners. For serious racers shopping for RC car upgrades in the UK, anti-roll bars are recognised as one of the most effective setup tools available.
- Which anti-roll bar rate should I use for my track conditions? — Start with the middle rate (grey, 0.9) as a baseline, then experiment from there. If your buggy feels loose or oversteery in corners, try a stiffer bar (blue, 1.0). If it feels understeer-heavy or ploughed, try a softer bar (white, 0.8). Track surface grip, ambient temperature, and your driving style all influence the ideal rate, so testing different options is part of the setup process.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst anti-roll bars are relatively straightforward to install, they are primarily a tuning tool for intermediate and advanced racers who understand chassis setup and how suspension geometry affects performance. Beginners should focus on learning the basics of their RC car first; this upgrade becomes valuable once you're consistently competitive and want to fine-tune handling for specific conditions.
- Do I need to purchase the ball cups separately? — The ball cups (part #91820) are sold separately. Check if your buggy already has these fitted; if not, you'll need to purchase them to complete the anti-roll bar installation. These are the connection points between the bars and the suspension arms.
- Which Team Associated B6 models is this compatible with? — This anti-roll bar set fits the RC10B6.1, B6.1D, B6.1DL, B6.2, B6.2D, B6.3, B6.3D, B6.4, and B6.4D, making it compatible across multiple generations of the B6 platform. Always verify your specific model before ordering.
- How does this compare to running no anti-roll bar? — Without an anti-roll bar, each side of the suspension moves independently during cornering, which means the inside wheel is more likely to lose traction and the chassis rolls excessively. An anti-roll bar couples this movement, reducing roll and improving consistency. This is particularly noticeable on high-grip tracks where maintaining a planted front end is crucial for competitive lap times.
