Overview

The Associated Caster Block Bush (Offset) AS91403 is an essential suspension component designed for serious RC buggy enthusiasts in the UK. This precision-engineered part is specifically engineered for Team Associated's legendary RC10 B5, B5M, B64, and B64D chassis platforms. Whether you're maintaining your existing mid-motor buggy setup or upgrading your suspension geometry for competitive racing, this offset caster block bush delivers the exact fitment and performance characteristics that professional and amateur RC racers demand. The offset design allows for fine-tuning of your RC car's caster angle, which directly influences steering responsiveness, stability during cornering, and overall handling characteristics across different track surfaces.

RC enthusiasts across the UK rely on genuine Team Associated replacement parts to maintain the precision engineering that makes these buggy platforms so competitive. The caster block bush is a critical wear item that can be overlooked but makes a genuine difference to how your RC buggy handles. Over time, standard bushes can wear, develop play in the steering system, and degrade the sharp handling you've come to expect. This offset variant is particularly valuable for racers who need to dial in specific caster geometry adjustments for different track conditions, weather patterns, and driving techniques. Whether you're preparing for club racing, weekend bashings, or competitive off-road events, having genuine Associated spare parts like this on hand ensures you can quickly refresh your suspension geometry and get back to consistent, predictable handling.

For RC model enthusiasts seeking authentic Team Associated components, this caster block bush represents genuine OEM quality backed by decades of racing heritage. The precision manufacturing ensures perfect compatibility with your B5, B5M, B64, or B64D buggy chassis, eliminating compatibility concerns and guaranteeing that your suspension adjustments will deliver exactly the performance characteristics you're targeting. Stock this essential spare part today and keep your RC buggy performing at its peak throughout the racing season.

Key Features

  • Offset Design — The offset geometry allows you to adjust the caster angle of your RC buggy's front end, which directly affects how the vehicle steers and how stable it feels during high-speed cornering and directional changes on varied terrain.
  • Genuine Team Associated Part — This is an authentic OEM component manufactured to the exact specifications used in Team Associated's factory racing programs, ensuring quality and precision that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot match.
  • Compatible with Multiple Platforms — Designed to fit the B5, B5M, B64, and B64D chassis, this single part covers multiple popular Associated buggy platforms, making it a versatile addition to any RC spare parts collection.
  • Suspension Tuning Solution — The caster block bush is essential for anyone serious about optimising their RC buggy's suspension geometry and handling characteristics across different track surfaces and racing conditions.
  • Wear Item Replacement — As a high-wear component in the steering and suspension system, having spare caster block bushes on hand ensures you can maintain peak performance throughout the racing season without extended downtime.
  • Precision Manufacturing — Built to Team Associated's demanding tolerances, this component ensures your steering geometry adjustments translate directly into predictable, responsive handling without play or deflection.

Technical Performance

The caster block bush is a critical component in the steering and suspension geometry of your RC buggy that directly influences how the vehicle responds to driver inputs and how it behaves during high-speed cornering. The offset design allows for precise adjustment of the caster angle, which is the angle between the vertical axis and the steering axis when viewed from the side of the vehicle. A properly dialled caster angle improves straight-line stability, enhances steering feedback, and optimises the vehicle's natural tendency to return to centre after cornering. The genuine Team Associated manufacturing process ensures that the dimensions, material composition, and tolerances match exactly what the factory engineers specified for the B5, B5M, B64, and B64D platforms. This precision is particularly important because even small variations in suspension geometry can lead to unpredictable handling, inconsistent steering response, and difficulties in tuning other suspension parameters. For competitive RC racing in the UK, where track surfaces vary from indoor carpeted circuits to outdoor carpet or astroturf surfaces with different grip characteristics, having the ability to dial in correct caster geometry is fundamental to achieving consistent lap times. The material composition provides durability under the constant suspension loading encountered during high-performance driving whilst maintaining dimensional stability over extended racing sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a caster block bush and why does my RC buggy need one? — The caster block bush is a suspension component that forms part of the front steering knuckle assembly. It carries the steering axis and controls the caster angle of your front wheels. The caster angle directly affects how your RC buggy steers, its stability during cornering, and how quickly it returns to centre after directional changes. Over time, these bushes wear and develop play in the system, degrading handling precision. Replacing them with genuine Associated parts ensures your suspension geometry remains accurate and your handling remains predictable across different track conditions.
  • What is the difference between the offset and standard caster block bush? — The offset design allows you to adjust the caster angle more significantly than a standard bush. This is particularly valuable for racers who need to fine-tune their suspension geometry for specific track conditions, driving techniques, or seasonal weather variations. The offset geometry provides tuning flexibility that competitive RC racers depend on to optimise their buggy's performance.
  • Will this fit my Associated RC buggy? — This caster block bush is designed specifically for Team Associated RC10 B5, B5M, B64, and B64D platforms. Always verify your specific buggy model before purchasing to ensure perfect compatibility. If you're unsure which model you have or whether this part will fit, our knowledgeable customer service team is happy to help you identify the correct component for your setup.
  • How often should I replace my caster block bushes? — Caster block bushes are wear items that should be inspected regularly, particularly if you race frequently or bash your RC buggy on challenging terrain. Replace them whenever you notice play in the front end steering system, when suspension geometry adjustments no longer hold firm, or when you detect inconsistent steering response. Many competitive racers replace caster block bushes several times per season to maintain peak performance.
  • Can I fit this myself? — Yes, the caster block bush can be replaced with basic RC tool knowledge and access to standard RC hobby tools. However, suspension geometry work requires care to ensure you don't accidentally bend suspension arms or damage other components during removal and installation. If you're unfamiliar with suspension work, our team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance, or you may prefer to have the work carried out by someone with experience in RC buggy maintenance.
