Overview
The Team Associated LP Springs in grey represent a precision suspension component designed for RC enthusiasts who demand exact control over their vehicle's handling characteristics. With a spring rate of 15.7 lb/in, these springs are engineered to provide the specific damping and suspension compliance required for competitive racing and serious hobbyist builds. Whether you're setting up a Team Associated TC8 for track competition or fine-tuning your RC car UK setup, these grey-coloured springs offer a reliable, colour-coded solution that makes it easy to track your suspension settings and replicate winning setups across multiple sessions.
These LP springs are ideal for builders and racers who maintain detailed setup notes and understand the importance of spring rate consistency in RC vehicle performance. The distinctive grey colour, combined with the clear markings (L17, 5.0T, 1.3D), ensures you can quickly identify the correct springs for your suspension configuration without confusion. Whether you're competing in local RC clubs across the UK or simply looking to optimise your brushless RC car's handling, the AS32052 provides the precision tuning tool you need to dial in your setup with confidence.
Team Associated has built a reputation for manufacturing high-quality RC suspension components, and these LP springs exemplify that commitment to excellence. The spring is manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring consistent performance across multiple units so that your setup remains repeatable and predictable. This is particularly valuable if you're running multiple vehicles or need to maintain consistent performance across different track conditions.
Key Features
- 15.7 lb/in Spring Rate — This specific spring rate provides a middle-ground stiffness that suits a variety of track conditions and driving styles, making it a versatile choice for both carpet and asphalt racing applications in the RC car UK market.
- Grey Colour Identification — The distinctive grey colour serves as a visual identifier for quick spring selection, helping you avoid setup errors and making it simple to maintain consistent suspension configurations across multiple RC vehicles.
- Clear Markings (L17, 5.0T, 1.3D) — These designations are printed directly on the spring and help you identify the exact specification, allowing you to reference your setup notes and replicate proven performance settings without guesswork.
- Precision Engineering — Team Associated manufactures these springs to exacting standards, ensuring that each spring delivers consistent performance characteristics and allowing your suspension tuning to be both precise and repeatable.
- Compatible with TC8 Platform — These springs are specifically engineered for the Team Associated TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec vehicles, ensuring perfect fitment and optimised performance for these popular 1/10-scale RC buggies.
- Setup Tracking Friendly — The colour and marking system makes it straightforward to record suspension settings in your setup notes, allowing you to quickly return to proven configurations or share setups with other racers.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated LP Springs AS32052 are engineered for use in precision 1/10-scale RC buggy applications, where suspension tuning plays a critical role in overall vehicle performance. The 15.7 lb/in spring rate falls into the mid-range of the Team Associated spring lineup, making it suitable for drivers who want a balance between responsive handling and compliance over track imperfections. The L17 marking denotes the spring length specification, whilst the 5.0T and 1.3D designations refer to wire gauge and coil specifications that directly affect the spring's damping characteristics and ride height compatibility. These springs are manufactured from high-quality steel and designed to maintain their rate consistency over extended use, ensuring that your suspension geometry and handling characteristics remain stable throughout numerous racing sessions. The precision construction means that when installed alongside matching shock absorbers and other suspension components, these springs contribute to predictable, controllable handling that allows drivers to extract maximum performance from their RC vehicle. Whether you're running on circuit tracks across the UK or practising for competition events, the consistency and reliability of these springs make them an essential component for serious RC racers.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicles are these Team Associated LP Springs compatible with? — These springs are specifically designed for the Team Associated TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec models. Both variants of the TC8 use the same suspension geometry, making these springs a direct fitment for either specification.
- What do the markings L17, 5.0T, and 1.3D mean? — These markings denote specific technical specifications of the spring: L17 refers to the spring length, 5.0T specifies the wire gauge, and 1.3D indicates the coil diameter. Together, these dimensions determine the spring's performance characteristics and ensure compatibility with your suspension setup.
- How do spring rates affect RC car handling? — Spring rate, measured in lb/in, determines how stiff or soft the suspension feels. A 15.7 lb/in rate is considered moderate stiffness — stiffer than soft springs for more responsive handling, but softer than stiff springs for better compliance over bumps. This mid-range rate suits various track conditions and driving styles.
- Why is the grey colour important? — The grey colour is part of Team Associated's colour-coding system for springs, allowing you to quickly identify the correct spring specification. This prevents mix-ups when swapping springs or setting up multiple vehicles, making it simple to maintain consistent suspension configurations.
- Are these suitable for beginners? — These springs are best suited for intermediate to advanced RC builders and racers who understand suspension tuning. Beginners would benefit from learning suspension basics first, but experienced builders will find these springs essential for fine-tuning their TC8 setup.
- Can I use these springs on other Team Associated vehicles? — These springs are specifically engineered for the TC8 platform. Using them on other vehicles may result in incorrect suspension geometry and poor handling. Always verify compatibility before installing suspension components on different chassis.
