Overview

The Team Associated TC8 Titanium FT Turnbuckles M3x34mm (AS32049) are precision-engineered suspension components designed for RC enthusiasts who demand reliability and quality in their builds. Whether you're maintaining your Team Associated TC8 RC buggy or upgrading your suspension geometry, these titanium turnbuckles represent the gold standard in aftermarket RC parts. The TC8 is a legendary platform in the RC racing community, and having access to genuine Team Associated spares and upgrades ensures your vehicle performs at its absolute best.

These M3x34mm turnbuckles are essential suspension adjustment tools that allow you to fine-tune your RC car's handling characteristics with precision. Turnbuckles are critical components in RC suspension design, enabling drivers to adjust ride height, anti-roll bar stiffness, and overall suspension geometry without replacing entire components. For serious RC car enthusiasts in the UK who demand competition-grade performance from their rigs, having a set of quality turnbuckles in your spares kit is non-negotiable. The titanium specification offers superior durability and minimal weight compared to steel alternatives, making them an ideal choice for both race day and recreational bashing.

At RC Model Shop, we stock genuine Team Associated parts because we understand that RC drivers deserve authentic components backed by the manufacturer's quality guarantee. When you purchase the AS32049 turnbuckles, you're investing in reliability and performance that will serve your RC build for countless hours of driving enjoyment.

Key Features

  • M3 Thread Size — These turnbuckles feature an M3 metric thread, which is the standard suspension connection size for the Team Associated TC8 and many other modern 1/10-scale RC buggies, ensuring perfect compatibility with your kit documentation and other associated components.
  • 34mm Overall Length — The 34mm length specification makes these turnbuckles suitable for specific suspension geometry adjustments on your TC8, allowing you to achieve the exact ride height and suspension angles required by your build or maintenance requirements.
  • Titanium Construction — The titanium material specification delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, meaning these turnbuckles won't add unnecessary mass to your suspension while providing superior durability compared to standard steel alternatives, crucial for maintaining consistent performance during competitive racing or aggressive bashing.
  • FT Range Specification — Being part of Team Associated's FT (Front Turnbuckle) range, these components are engineered to exacting standards and are guaranteed to work seamlessly with your TC8 platform and compatible Team Associated vehicles.
  • Straightforward Installation — When your build or maintenance schedule calls for M3 thread suspension components at 34mm length, these turnbuckles are a direct and uncomplicated choice, requiring no modification or adapter components.
  • Genuine Team Associated Part — This is an authentic manufacturer component, not an aftermarket clone, ensuring you receive the exact specifications and quality that Team Associated engineered into your original vehicle.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated TC8 Titanium FT Turnbuckles represent precision engineering at the component level. Titanium offers remarkable advantages in suspension design: it provides rigidity where you need it for consistent performance, whilst its low density means minimal unsprung weight that could negatively impact handling. The M3x34mm specification places these turnbuckles in the modern standard for 1/10-scale RC buggies, the most popular scale for both racing and recreational driving in the UK RC community. The FT designation confirms these are front turnbuckles, optimised for the specific geometry and load characteristics of the TC8's front suspension. By maintaining precise thread specifications and length tolerances, Team Associated ensures that suspension adjustments made with these turnbuckles will be repeatable and predictable, critical for competitive RC racing where milliseconds count. Whether you're adjusting anti-roll bar preload for corner balance, tweaking ride height for different track conditions, or replacing worn suspension components, these titanium turnbuckles deliver the performance reliability that serious RC drivers expect.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these turnbuckles compatible with my Team Associated TC8? — Yes, the AS32049 is a genuine Team Associated part designed specifically for the TC8 platform. The M3x34mm specification matches the suspension geometry of the TC8 as outlined in your kit documentation, making these a perfect fit for maintenance, upgrades, or repairs.
  • What is the advantage of titanium over steel turnbuckles? — Titanium offers superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to steel, meaning you get equivalent durability with less weight added to your suspension. This reduced unsprung mass improves handling response and suspension compliance, particularly important in competitive RC racing environments where every gram matters.
  • How do I know which turnbuckles I need for my RC car? — Your Team Associated kit documentation specifies exact component sizes and part numbers. For any TC8-compatible suspension adjustment, always check your manual first. If you're unsure whether the M3x34mm length is correct for your specific suspension mod or repair, feel free to contact our experienced team at RC Model Shop for technical guidance.
  • Can I use these turnbuckles as a general spare part? — These are specifically engineered for the Team Associated TC8 and compatible platforms using M3 thread suspension geometry. If your RC car uses M3 turnbuckles and requires 34mm length components, these will work, but always verify compatibility with your vehicle's documentation first.
  • Do I need any special tools to install these turnbuckles? — Standard RC turnbuckles typically require an Allen key or turnbuckle wrench for adjustment and installation. We recommend having a properly-sized turnbuckle wrench in your RC toolkit for smooth operation and to avoid stripping the turnbuckle bodies.
  • What's the difference between FT and other turnbuckle designations? — FT stands for Front Turnbuckle, meaning these are optimised for front suspension geometry on the TC8. Team Associated also produces rear (RT) and other specialised turnbuckles for different positions, so always match the designation to your specific suspension location.
