What sets the Savox SH1357+ apart from other mini servos on the market is its combination of cutting-edge coreless motor technology, robust aluminium construction, and genuine digital precision. This servo has been specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern RC pilots and drivers who refuse to compromise on speed, efficiency, or build quality. At just 26 grams, it's light enough to minimise weight penalties on your RC model whilst delivering substantial torque output and lightning-fast response times that will transform how your RC helicopter or RC car handles.

RC Model Shop stocks the genuine Savox SH1357+ because we recognise that quality servos are absolutely fundamental to RC performance. A servo is only as good as its engineering, and Savox has engineered this model to be environmentally friendly from materials through to production, ensuring you're making a responsible choice alongside a performance choice. When you're investing in RC equipment, the servo is the critical interface between your radio receiver and your model's control surfaces—it simply has to be reliable and fast.

Key Features

  • Coreless Motor Design — The lightweight coreless motor technology inside this servo eliminates unnecessary weight whilst dramatically improving response speed and overall efficiency compared to traditional coil-based motors. This means faster control input response, smoother servo movement, and reduced power consumption from your battery pack, which directly translates to longer flight times and more responsive handling on your RC model.
  • Incredible Speed Performance — With a lightning-fast 0.07 second transit time per 60 degrees at 6.0V, this servo is among the quickest mini servos available, ensuring your RC helicopter's cyclic inputs or your RC car's steering commands are executed with virtually no perceptible delay. This speed is crucial for precision flying or driving, especially in competitive environments where milliseconds matter.
  • Substantial Torque Output — Despite its tiny size, the SH1357+ generates 2.5 kg-cm of torque at 6.0V (equivalent to 34.7 ounce-inches), providing enough holding power and responsiveness for demanding applications including CCPM swashplate control on RC helicopters and precise steering on RC vehicles.
  • Aluminium Case Construction — The professional-grade aluminium alloy case isn't just aesthetically appealing with its golden metallic finish; it serves a crucial functional purpose by dissipating heat far more effectively than plastic alternatives. Lower operating temperatures mean longer servo lifespan, more consistent performance throughout extended flying or driving sessions, and greater reliability during intensive use.
  • Lightweight at Just 26 Grams — The featherweight design of this servo ensures minimal impact on your RC model's weight distribution and centre of gravity, allowing for superior flight characteristics on RC helicopters or improved acceleration and handling on RC cars. This is particularly valuable if you're building a lightweight competition-grade model.
  • Dual Bearing Support — The servo features dual bearing construction that ensures smooth, precise output shaft rotation with minimal play or wobble, contributing to the accurate and repeatable positioning necessary for high-fidelity RC control applications.
  • Industrial-Grade Plastic Gears — The internal gear train uses durable industrial plastic gearing that balances strength with lightweight construction, ensuring reliable long-term operation whilst maintaining the servo's minimal weight advantage.
  • 25-Tooth Spline Output Shaft — The standard spline format accepts the widest range of aftermarket servo horns and linkages, giving you complete flexibility in how you mount and configure this servo within your RC model's control system.
  • Environmentally Responsible Manufacturing — Savox has engineered this servo using environmentally friendly materials and production processes, meaning you can enjoy premium performance knowing your purchase reflects responsible manufacturing standards.
  • Versatile Application Range — This servo is ideally suited as a rudder servo on 450-class RC helicopters, as a full CCPM servo on 500-class RC helicopters, and as a steering servo on 1/12th scale RC cars, making it one of the most versatile mini servos you can buy for your RC collection.

Technical Performance

The Savox SH1357+ represents a masterclass in servo engineering, combining advanced digital control circuitry with premium mechanical components to deliver performance that punches well above its weight class. The coreless motor at the heart of this servo is the key to its exceptional performance characteristics: by eliminating the iron core that traditional servo motors require, Savox engineers have dramatically reduced internal friction and rotational inertia, resulting in the 0.07-second per 60-degree speed rating that makes this servo so responsive. This speed is achieved at standard 6.0V operation, meaning you can run this servo from conventional 2S LiPo batteries or standard NiMH battery packs without requiring expensive high-voltage systems. The torque rating of 2.5 kg-cm at 6.0V is more than sufficient for most mini servo applications, and the servo actually operates acceptably at reduced voltage (0.09 seconds and 1.9 kg-cm at 4.8V), giving you flexibility in how you power your RC model. The aluminium case construction is engineered for thermal management—the metal case actively dissipates heat generated during operation, keeping internal temperatures low and ensuring consistent performance even during extended use. The dual bearing design ensures that the output shaft operates with minimal lateral play, which is essential for maintaining control precision. Weighing just 26 grams, this servo adds negligible mass to your RC model whilst delivering professional-grade build quality that you'll feel in every control input. The dimensions of 35.0 x 15.0 x 29.2 millimetres make this a genuinely compact servo that fits into tight spaces on modern RC models. Whether you're installing this as a rudder servo on a collective-pitch RC helicopter or as a steering servo on an RC car, the engineering quality and performance reliability will exceed expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Savox SH1357+ fast enough for competitive RC helicopter flying? — Absolutely. The 0.07-second per 60-degree speed rating makes this one of the fastest mini servos available, and it's specifically recommended by Savox for use on 450-class and 500-class RC helicopters where precise cyclic control and rapid swashplate response are essential for smooth, stable flight characteristics.
  • What voltage should I run this servo at? — The servo is rated for 6.0V operation and delivers its maximum speed and torque specifications at this voltage. However, it will function acceptably at 4.8V, though with slightly reduced performance (0.09 seconds and 1.9 kg-cm torque). Most UK RC enthusiasts run this servo from 2S LiPo batteries at 7.4V nominal, which is within safe operating parameters for digital servos.
  • How much does this servo weigh and will it affect my RC model's performance? — At just 26 grams, the SH1357+ is among the lightest mini servos available. This minimal weight makes it ideal for weight-sensitive applications like RC helicopter builds where reducing overall mass improves responsiveness and flight characteristics. For RC cars, the lightweight design contributes to better acceleration and handling.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a high-performance servo that experienced RC pilots and drivers will absolutely appreciate, the SH1357+ is also suitable for beginners because its speed and precision actually make it easier to control—the immediate response to stick input provides positive feedback that helps new pilots develop better flying skills. It's a servo you won't outgrow as your skills improve.
  • What applications is this servo recommended for? — Savox specifically recommends this servo as a rudder servo on 450-class RC helicopters, as a full CCPM servo on 500-class RC helicopters, and as a steering servo on 1/12th scale RC cars. However, its small size and excellent performance make it suitable for any RC application requiring a lightweight, fast servo.
  • How does the coreless motor design benefit me? — The coreless motor eliminates the heavy iron core found in traditional servo motors, reducing rotational inertia and friction. This translates directly to faster speed, more efficient power consumption, and smoother operation. For RC helicopter pilots, this means more responsive cyclic control; for RC car drivers, it means snappier steering response.
  • Will this servo work with my existing RC setup? — The SH1357+ features a standard 25-tooth spline output shaft and accepts industry-standard servo connections, making it compatible with any RC receiver that supports standard servos. It works perfectly with Futaba, Spektrum, JR, and other major RC radio systems.
  • Is the aluminium case really important? — Yes, absolutely. The aluminium alloy case actively dissipates heat much more effectively than plastic servo cases, keeping operating temperatures low. This improves reliability, extends servo lifespan, and ensures consistent performance throughout extended flying or driving sessions without performance degradation from heat buildup.
