This budget-friendly micro servo is purpose-built for RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand reliability and precision from their equipment, whether you're flying a 250 or 450 class helicopter, building a park flyer airplane, or working on any RC model that requires a responsive, dependable servo in confined spaces. With its distinctive aluminium middle case design and over-specified engineering, the SH0350+ stands apart from ordinary micro servos by offering cooler operating temperatures, smoother performance, and strict quality control that ensures every unit meets exacting standards.

Ideal for CCPM and rudder applications on 450 level helicopters and park fly airplanes, this digital servo combines industrial-grade plastic gears with robust engineering to deliver smooth, consistent servo action across a wide range of demanding RC applications. The SH0350+ features Savox's new Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR compatibility, making it an excellent choice for pilots and builders who want modern servo technology without compromising on compact dimensions. Whether you're an experienced RC car UK enthusiast, a helicopter pilot, or someone new to the hobby, this servo offers the perfect balance of power, precision and affordability that has made Savox a recognised name throughout the ready to run RC community.

Available now from RC Model Shop, the Savox SH0350+ comes backed by a comprehensive 1-year warranty and represents genuine value for anyone serious about their RC hobby. The servo's compact footprint—measuring just 22.8 x 12.0 x 25.4mm—ensures it fits into tight spaces without sacrificing performance, making it an excellent upgrade or replacement servo for a wide variety of small-scale RC models.

Key Features

  • Aluminium Middle Case Design — The partial aluminium case construction allows for cooler and smoother operating temperatures compared to all-plastic alternatives, extending the servo's lifespan and improving performance consistency during extended flying sessions or competitive use.
  • Over-Spec Refined Design — This servo outperforms ordinary micro servos through strict production and quality control of all plastic components, ensuring consistent performance and reliability across every unit you purchase.
  • Compact Micro Size — At just 12.3 grams and measuring 22.8 x 12.0 x 25.4mm, this servo fits perfectly into small aircraft, 450 class helicopters and confined spaces where standard-sized servos simply won't work.
  • Digital Servo Technology — The digital servo architecture provides superior precision and responsiveness compared to analogue alternatives, giving you greater control authority and smoother servo movements during flight.
  • Industrial Plastic Gears with Bearing Support — Durable plastic gears combined with bearing support provide the right balance of strength and weight savings, optimised for micro servo applications without unnecessary bulk.
  • Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR Compatibility — New plus-model features including Soft Start Mode and full compatibility with Sanwa SSR radio systems give you modern functionality and integration with leading RC radio brands.
  • 21-Tooth Spline Output — The standardised 21-tooth output spline is compatible with a wide range of servo horns and accessories, making replacement and customisation straightforward.
  • Dual Voltage Compatibility — Operating across 4.8V and 6.0V battery voltages, this servo adapts to your existing power systems and allows you to choose your performance envelope.
  • 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty — Every Savox servo is backed by a comprehensive 1-year warranty, giving you peace of mind and protection on your investment.

Technical Performance

The Savox SH0350+ delivers impressive performance specifications that belie its lightweight, compact design. At 6.0V operation, this digital servo generates 2.6kg of torque (equivalent to 36.1 ounce-inches), whilst achieving a rapid 0.16-second response time for 60-degree movement—fast enough for responsive control in dynamic flying situations. At the lower 4.8V setting, the servo still produces a respectable 2.2kg of torque with 0.21-second travel speed, making it suitable for battery systems where weight savings justify the slight performance reduction. The brushed motor design ensures smooth, predictable operation, whilst the industrial plastic gears provide excellent durability-to-weight ratio without unnecessary heaviness. With an operating travel of 90 degrees at standard pulse widths (1000-2000 microseconds) and maximum travel capability of approximately 150 degrees (700-2300 microseconds), the servo delivers the control authority needed for precision flying. The 240Hz refresh rate ensures smooth, glitch-free servo action even during rapid stick inputs, whilst the compact servo case with its distinctive aluminium middle section provides optimal heat dissipation to keep the motor running cool during extended operations. Current draw is modest—just 150mA at 4.8V and 180mA at 6.0V under no load—with idle current of merely 5mA at both voltages, making it efficient for battery-powered RC models where power consumption directly impacts flight time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Savox SH0350+ suitable for 450 helicopters and park flyer airplanes? — Yes, this servo is purpose-designed for exactly these applications. The compact size, light weight and responsive digital servo technology make it ideal for 450 class helicopters in CCPM and rudder positions, as well as park flyer airplanes that need fast, reliable servo action.
  • What voltage battery does this servo need to operate? — The SH0350+ operates across dual voltages: 4.8V and 6.0V. Most users choose 6.0V (two series LiPo cells) for maximum performance, delivering 2.6kg torque and 0.16-second response time. You can also run it at 4.8V for slightly lower performance but potentially improved servo lifespan.
  • How does the aluminium case design benefit performance? — The aluminium middle case allows heat to dissipate more efficiently than all-plastic designs, keeping the motor cooler during extended use. Cooler operating temperatures mean more consistent performance, reduced risk of servo strain, and longer overall servo lifespan—critical when you've invested in quality RC equipment.
  • What is the difference between the SH0350+ and the original SH0350? — The plus model features new Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR compatibility, bringing the servo into alignment with modern RC radio systems and offering smoother initial servo engagement. The original SH0350 is now discontinued, making the SH0350+ the current recommended option.
  • Is this digital servo compatible with standard RC radios? — Yes, the SH0350+ works with any RC radio system that uses standard servo connectors and PWM pulse width modulation. It includes full compatibility with Sanwa SSR systems and other leading brands used throughout the UK RC community.
  • What current draw should I expect from this servo? — Under no-load conditions, the servo draws 150mA at 4.8V or 180mA at 6.0V. Idle current is just 5mA at either voltage. Stall current (when the servo is under maximum load or blocked) reaches 1000mA at 4.8V or 1200mA at 6.0V, which is important to consider when sizing your receiver battery.
  • Can I replace the servo gears if they wear out? — Yes, Savox offers the SGSH0350 Servo Gear Set with Bearings as a spare part, allowing you to completely refresh the servo's drivetrain if needed. You can also source the CSH0350 Top and Bottom Servo Case with Screws for case replacement.
  • What is the operating temperature range for this servo? — The servo operates safely between 14°F and 122°F (?10°C to 50°C). This range covers typical UK weather conditions and standard indoor RC flying environments, though you should avoid exposing the servo to extreme cold or heat.
