Overview

The Spektrum IC5 Device Connector is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts who demand reliable power connectivity in their RC setups. This 4-inch connector cable features the industry-standard IC5 connector type, designed to provide secure and efficient power distribution to your RC devices. Whether you're running a high-performance RC car UK setup, managing multiple battery connections, or upgrading your existing RC model collection, this connector delivers the professional-grade reliability that Spektrum is recognised for worldwide. The generous 4-inch lead length gives you flexibility in routing cables through tight spaces whilst maintaining safe clearances from moving components.

Built to the exacting standards demanded by the RC hobby community, the Spektrum IC5 Device Connector with 10 AWG wiring represents a significant step forward in power connectivity for serious RC enthusiasts. The robust IC5 connector interface ensures consistent electrical contact and minimal voltage drop, which translates directly to better performance from your RC equipment. This is the kind of upgrade that experienced racers, bashers, and scale modellers rely upon when building their ideal RC configuration. At RC Model Shop, we stock genuine Spektrum connectors because we understand that power delivery reliability is not something to compromise on.

The 10 AWG wire gauge provides excellent current-carrying capacity for demanding applications, making this connector suitable for high-power RC setups. If you're serious about your RC hobby—whether that means weekend bashing, competitive racing, or precision scale driving—having quality connectors like this in your spare parts collection ensures you're never caught without the right equipment to keep your RC cars, trucks, and crawlers performing at their best.

Key Features

  • IC5 Connector Type — The IC5 connector is a recognised standard in the RC industry, offering reliable power distribution with consistent electrical contact and minimal resistance, which ensures your RC equipment receives full power delivery without voltage loss during operation.
  • 10 AWG Wire Gauge — The 10 AWG (American Wire Gauge) specification provides substantial current-carrying capacity, meaning this connector can safely handle the demanding power requirements of modern high-performance RC vehicles without overheating or causing voltage sag.
  • 4-Inch Cable Length — The 100mm (4-inch) lead length gives you genuine flexibility when routing your power cables through your RC car, truck, or crawler, allowing you to achieve professional-looking cable management whilst maintaining safe clearances from rotating tyres and moving suspension components.
  • Genuine Spektrum Manufacturing — As an official Spektrum product, this connector is manufactured to the highest quality standards and will integrate seamlessly with other Spektrum RC equipment, ensuring compatibility and reliability across your entire RC system.

Technical Performance

The Spektrum IC5 Device Connector represents the convergence of engineering precision and practical RC experience. The 10 AWG wire specification is carefully chosen to deliver exceptional current-carrying capacity whilst remaining manageable for installation and routing. This gauge rating means the connector can reliably service high-amp applications without experiencing the voltage drop that would compromise your RC vehicle's performance. The IC5 connector interface itself has become the reference standard in RC power distribution because it provides a secure, low-resistance connection that maintains signal integrity under the demanding conditions of motorsport use. Whether you're powering devices in a competitive 1/10 scale RC buggy, managing connections in a 1/8 scale truggy, or setting up a 1/6 scale rock crawler, the engineering inside this Spektrum connector ensures maximum efficiency. The 4-inch length is precision-engineered to provide optimal flexibility for most installation scenarios whilst avoiding excessive cable slack that could be caught or damaged during operation. RC enthusiasts in the UK and across Europe trust Spektrum connectors because they've earned their reputation through consistent performance in real-world racing and bashing conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the IC5 connector and why should I care about it? — The IC5 is an industry-standard power connector widely used in the RC hobby for reliable power distribution. It provides secure contact, minimal voltage drop, and consistent performance across all your RC equipment. If you're building or upgrading an RC car, truck, buggy, or crawler, having quality IC5 connectors ensures your power delivery system is as reliable as the rest of your setup.
  • Is the 10 AWG wire gauge suitable for my RC setup? — Yes, 10 AWG is a substantial wire gauge that provides excellent current-carrying capacity for demanding RC applications. This makes it suitable for high-performance setups, whether you're running a brushless RC buggy, a powerful RC monster truck, or any other RC vehicle that demands reliable power delivery without voltage sag.
  • What does the 4-inch cable length mean for installation? — The 4-inch (100mm) lead length gives you flexibility when routing power cables through your RC chassis. This length is long enough to reach different mounting positions and devices whilst short enough to avoid excessive slack that could get caught during operation. It's the practical middle ground that works well in most RC vehicle configurations.
  • Can I use this connector with any RC equipment? — The Spektrum IC5 Device Connector is designed for use with equipment featuring IC5 connector ports. As a Spektrum product, it integrates seamlessly with other Spektrum RC gear and is compatible with any quality RC equipment using the standard IC5 connector interface. Always verify your device has an IC5 port before purchasing.
  • Is this suitable for beginners or experienced RC enthusiasts? — This connector is suitable for anyone serious about RC hobbies, from experienced competitors who demand professional-grade reliability to weekend bashers looking to upgrade their spare parts collection. If you're setting up your first high-performance RC car or maintaining an established fleet, having quality connectors like this ensures consistent performance.
