- Direct Compatibility with ET1132 — This receiver is specifically engineered to pair with the Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter, eliminating any guesswork about compatibility and ensuring seamless integration with your existing radio control setup.
- Easy Model Addition — Perfect for RC enthusiasts who want to add another vehicle to their collection without purchasing an entirely new radio system, this receiver makes expanding your RC fleet quick and straightforward.
- Like-for-Like Replacement — If your existing Etronix receiver has failed or become damaged, the ET1162 serves as an exact replacement that will integrate perfectly with your current setup and transmitter system.
Technical Performance
The Etronix Pulse FHSS Receiver ET1162 is engineered with modern 2.4GHz technology that has become the industry standard for RC radio systems worldwide. Operating on the FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) protocol, this receiver automatically selects the clearest communication channel from a range of available frequencies, dramatically reducing the risk of signal interference from other RC systems operating nearby. This is particularly important in the UK where RC clubs and public spaces often have multiple models operating simultaneously. The 6-channel control system provides ample functionality for most RC cars, trucks, and buggies, whether you're running a simple steering and throttle setup or something more complex with additional auxiliary controls. The receiver's design prioritises reliability and stability, with quality construction that withstands the demands of regular RC use, from casual backyard running to more intense competition and bashing activities. As a genuine Etronix component manufactured to original specifications, this receiver meets the same quality standards as the complete Etronix Pulse system, ensuring consistent performance and long-term durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Etronix Pulse FHSS Receiver ET1162 suitable for beginners in UK RC hobby? — Yes, this receiver is an excellent choice for beginners because it uses the modern, reliable 2.4GHz FHSS standard that has become the worldwide norm for RC radio systems. If you already own an Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter, adding this receiver allows you to easily expand into a second model without the complexity and expense of purchasing an entirely new radio system. The straightforward pairing process and proven Etronix design make it beginner-friendly.
- What is FHSS technology and why does it matter for my RC car? — FHSS stands for Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum, a sophisticated radio technology that continuously hops between multiple frequency channels during operation. This approach provides two major benefits: first, it dramatically reduces interference from other RC systems and wireless devices operating on the 2.4GHz band, and second, it provides enhanced signal security and reliability. For RC users in the UK, particularly those operating at busy clubs or public spaces where multiple models might be running simultaneously, FHSS technology ensures your model responds predictably and safely without signal dropouts or interference issues.
- How many channels does the ET1162 provide and what can I control with them? — The Etronix Pulse FHSS Receiver ET1162 provides 6 channels of control, which gives you flexibility in setting up your RC vehicle. Typically, channel 1 controls steering (left/right movement) and channel 2 controls throttle (forward/reverse acceleration), leaving 4 additional channels available for auxiliary functions such as lights, winches, gearbox shift controls, or other specialist equipment you might want to operate on your model.
- Is this receiver compatible with other Etronix transmitters or only the ET1132? — The manufacturer specifies this receiver as compatible with the Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter system. For compatibility with other Etronix transmitters or systems, we recommend contacting our team at RC Model Shop for specific guidance, as FHSS pairing systems can have manufacturer-specific requirements.
- Can I use this receiver with non-Etronix vehicles or is it Etronix-specific? — This is a 2.4GHz FHSS receiver that pairs with the Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter. Once properly bound to your transmitter, you can use it with any RC vehicle chassis that has standard servo connector pins for steering and throttle control. However, for best results and guaranteed compatibility, Etronix recommend using it within the Etronix Pulse ecosystem.
- What is the difference between this receiver and other 2.4GHz options available for RC cars in the UK? — The ET1162 is a genuine Etronix component specifically engineered for the Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter, ensuring perfect hardware and software compatibility. This direct pairing approach often provides more stable communication and simpler setup compared to some generic 2.4GHz receivers. The FHSS protocol used here is also a proven technology with strong interference-rejection capabilities, making it particularly suitable for use in crowded RC environments common throughout the UK.
- Do I need to bind this receiver to my transmitter before using it? — Yes, like all modern 2.4GHz radio systems, you will need to bind the ET1162 receiver to your Etronix Pulse ET1132 transmitter before it will respond to control inputs. This binding process is straightforward and typically takes just a few minutes. The binding procedure establishes a secure link between your specific transmitter and receiver pair, preventing accidental operation by other radio systems nearby.
