Overview
The Etronix 18-In-1 Charging Cable (ET0286) is the ultimate multi-adaptor solution for RC enthusiasts across the UK. Whether you're running brushless RC cars, electric buggies, rock crawlers, or any other RC model, this single charging harness eliminates the need for multiple separate cables and adapters cluttering your pit box or workbench. With an impressive 18 different connector types integrated into one tidy package, this is an essential accessory for anyone serious about their RC hobby, from casual weekend bashers to competitive racers who need quick and convenient access to their various battery connectors.
Designed with the working hobbyist in mind, the Etronix 18-In-1 Charging Cable brings together virtually every popular connector standard used in the RC industry today. Rather than fumbling through a drawer of incompatible leads and adapters, you'll have everything you need within arm's reach. The cable is particularly valuable if you own multiple RC models with different battery connector types, such as an XT60-equipped brushless truck alongside a Deans-connected racing buggy, or Tamiya-fitted traxxas vehicles alongside JR servo-equipped transmitters. This single solution handles them all, making setup faster, safer, and more organised on the bench or at the track.
RC Model Shop stocks the genuine Etronix ET0286 in the UK, ready for immediate dispatch to RC enthusiasts nationwide. Whether you're based in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or anywhere else across Britain, this multi-connector charging cable is an investment that pays dividends every time you reach for it during your RC sessions.
Key Features
- Glow Starter Plug — Designed for hobbyists who still run nitro-powered RC engines, this connector allows you to use a single charging cable setup even if you run both electric and glow-powered vehicles, eliminating the need for separate charging infrastructure.
- Futaba and JR Servo Plugs — These connectors support popular servo standards used in radio control systems and vehicle servos, ensuring compatibility with transmitters and receivers from two of the most recognised brands in RC.
- XT60 Plug — One of the most popular high-current connectors in modern brushless RC cars and LiPo battery systems, the XT60 connector handles significant power delivery safely and reliably.
- Mini Tamiya Plug — A smaller variant of the classic Tamiya connector, perfect for compact RC models and vintage vehicles that still use this tried-and-tested connector standard.
- Standard Tamiya Plug — The original and widely-used Tamiya connector found on countless RC cars, buggies, and battery packs accumulated over decades of hobbyist involvement.
- Deans Plug — Also known as the T-connector, Deans plugs are found on high-performance RC cars and racing vehicles where low-resistance power delivery is critical.
- Traxxas Plug — Traxxas vehicles are extremely popular in the UK RC market, and this connector ensures compatibility with the entire range of ready-to-run and racing Traxxas models available.
- EC5 Plug — A high-current connector favoured by users running demanding brushless systems, the EC5 provides excellent power handling and is increasingly common on larger scale models.
- EC3 Plug — The smaller cousin to EC5, the EC3 connector is found on many mid-range brushless RC vehicles and battery systems, offering good power delivery in a compact package.
- JST Plug — A standard connector used on many smaller RC models, flight batteries, and electronic devices, ensuring broad compatibility across different RC applications.
- Micro Plug — Designed for compact and lightweight RC vehicles, the Micro plug provides connections for smaller-scale models where space is at a premium.
- JR and Futaba TX Jack Plugs — These dedicated transmitter connectors allow you to charge or connect your radio control transmitter directly, simplifying your pit box setup and eliminating the need for a separate transmitter charging cable.
- Sermo Connector (PA45) — A specialist connector used on certain RC equipment, the Sermo PA45 ensures this cable covers virtually every possible scenario you might encounter.
- Ultra Micro Connector — For the smallest RC aircraft and compact ground vehicles, the Ultra Micro connector provides power delivery to miniature models and systems.
- Deans Micro Connector — A compact version of the popular Deans connector, suitable for smaller RC models that still require reliable high-current connections.
- Bare Wire (Red/Black) — For custom builds, DIY projects, and specialist applications, the included bare red and black wires provide flexibility to create custom connections as needed.
Technical Performance
The Etronix 18-In-1 Charging Cable represents excellent engineering and practical design thinking from a manufacturer that understands the RC hobby. Rather than focusing on any single specification like voltage or amperage rating, this cable's strength lies in its comprehensive connector coverage and robust construction. The cable is built to handle the variety of charging scenarios you'll encounter in modern RC use, from small lithium-polymer (LiPo) batteries in micro racing drones and compact brushless buggies, through to high-power setups in 1/8 scale nitro buggies and large-scale rock crawlers. The inclusion of both Deans and XT60 connectors—the two most popular high-current standards in brushless RC—demonstrates that Etronix understands competitive and serious hobbyist requirements. The addition of Tamiya variants (both standard and mini) shows recognition of the installed base of classic and vintage RC vehicles still in active use across UK. The cable's ability to handle glow starter connections, servo plugs, and transmitter jacks proves this isn't just a battery connector cable—it's a complete charging solution for your entire RC pit setup. Build quality is evident in the careful routing and bundling of 18 separate connector arms into a single, manageable harness that stays organised rather than becoming a tangled mess.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Etronix 18-In-1 Charging Cable suitable for beginners in RC? — Absolutely. If you're new to RC and aren't sure which connector types your vehicles will use, this cable removes all guesswork. Even experienced hobbyists often accumulate RC models with different connector standards over time, so this cable is genuinely useful from day one, whether you're running a single ready-to-run RC car or building out a more comprehensive fleet.
- How many different connector types does this cable include? — The Etronix ET0286 includes 18 separate connector types: Glow Starter Plug, Futaba and JR Servo Plugs, XT60, Mini Tamiya, Standard Tamiya, Deans, Traxxas, EC5, EC3, JST, Micro, JR and Futaba TX Jack Plugs, Sermo Connector (PA45), Ultra Micro Deans, and bare wire in red and black.
- Will this cable work with my brushless RC car? — Yes, this cable is fully compatible with modern brushless RC vehicles. The inclusion of XT60, EC3, EC5, and Deans plugs covers virtually all brushless battery connector types found on UK market brushless buggies, trucks, and off-road models. Whether you're running a Traxxas brushless vehicle, an ARRMA electric model, or any other leading brand, you'll find the appropriate connector here.
- Can I use this cable to charge multiple different RC models? — This is precisely what the Etronix 18-In-1 Cable is designed for. If you own several RC models with different connector types—perhaps an older Tamiya-equipped car, a modern XT60 brushless truck, and a Deans-connected racing buggy—this single cable eliminates the need to keep multiple separate charging leads and adapters organised.
- Is this compatible with LiPo batteries? — Yes. The XT60, EC3, EC5, and Deans connectors are specifically designed for LiPo battery charging, and these are included in the 18-connector selection. You can confidently use this cable with any standard LiPo charger that supports these connector types.
- What makes this cable better than buying individual adapters? — Rather than accumulating a drawer full of individual adapters that get lost or tangled, this single harness integrates 18 different connectors into one organised unit that stays together and stays on your shelf or in your pit box ready to use.
