Overview

The Team Associated B74 Servo Horns (AS92247) are genuine replacement parts designed specifically for the Team Associated B74 platform, one of the most respected 1/10 scale RC buggy chassis in competitive racing. These servo horns form the critical mechanical link between your servo motor and the steering linkage on your RC car, translating electrical signals from your radio receiver into precise steering control. Whether you are a seasoned RC racer competing in the UK's vibrant 1/10 buggy scene or an enthusiast maintaining your prized B74 at the track, having genuine replacement servo horns in your pit box is essential for maintaining peak performance and minimising costly downtime.

Servo horns are wear items that experience constant movement and stress during both normal operation and aggressive driving sessions. Over time, they can become worn, bent, or damaged through collisions and rough terrain navigation. The B74 Servo Horns ensure that your steering response remains crisp and accurate, which is absolutely vital when you are battling for position on the circuit or pushing through challenging terrain. As a genuine Associated spare part, these horns are engineered to the exact same specifications as the original components fitted to your B74, guaranteeing perfect compatibility and reliable performance every single time you use them.

RC Model Shop stocks these genuine Associated B74 servo horns as part of our comprehensive range of spares and upgrades for popular RC platforms. We understand that keeping your RC car in top condition requires access to quality replacement parts, and we are proud to offer competitive pricing on authentic Associated spares. With free UK shipping on orders over £100 and rapid next-day dispatch available, sourcing the parts you need to keep your B74 running smoothly has never been easier.

Key Features

  • Genuine Associated Part — These servo horns carry the official AS92247 part number and are manufactured to the exact specifications set by Team Associated, ensuring they perform identically to the original components and maintain your RC car's steering precision and reliability.
  • Perfect B74 Compatibility — Engineered specifically for the Team Associated B74 platform, these horns provide a direct, plug-and-play replacement that requires no modification or adjustment, saving you time during trackside repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Essential Maintenance Spare — Servo horns experience constant mechanical stress and are prone to wear and damage during normal racing and bashing use, making it wise to keep spares in your pit box to minimise downtime and maintain consistent steering performance throughout a race day or practice session.
  • Precise Steering Control — By providing a solid mechanical connection between your servo and steering linkage, these horns ensure your steering inputs are translated accurately and responsively, which is critical for maintaining control through corners and executing smooth driving lines.
  • Quick Trackside Repairs — When a servo horn gets damaged during a collision or rough landing, having a genuine replacement on hand allows you to swap it out quickly and get back to racing without waiting for delivery or accepting sub-standard alternatives.
  • Professional Quality Construction — As part of Associated's genuine spares range, these servo horns are manufactured to professional-grade standards with durable materials and precision engineering that withstands the demands of both casual and competitive RC driving.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated B74 Servo Horns are precision-engineered components designed to withstand the mechanical demands of modern 1/10 scale electric RC buggy racing. These horns serve as the critical interface between your servo motor and the steering system, translating rotational motion from the servo into precise linear steering adjustments. Their design incorporates robust engineering principles that ensure durability through thousands of steering cycles, whether you are racing competitively on UK tracks or enjoying weekend bashing sessions on varied terrain. The horns are manufactured from durable materials and finished to exacting tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit with your B74's servo and steering linkage components. The design of servo horns is deceptively simple but absolutely critical to vehicle performance; any play or wear in this connection translates directly into imprecise steering response, making replacement with genuine parts an important maintenance task for any serious RC enthusiast. The B74 platform itself is renowned for its balanced handling characteristics and reliable performance, and using genuine Associated spares ensures that your chassis maintains these qualities throughout its service life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What exactly are servo horns and why do I need them? — Servo horns are mechanical components that connect your RC car's servo motor to the steering linkage. They convert the rotational motion of the servo into steering adjustments. Over time, through wear and damage, servo horns can become bent or cracked, degrading steering response. Keeping genuine replacement horns in your pit box ensures you can quickly restore perfect steering feel when needed.
  • Are these servo horns compatible with my Team Associated B74? — Yes, these horns are engineered specifically for the Team Associated B74 platform and are part of the official Associated spare parts range. They offer perfect compatibility with no modification required, whether you have a B74, B74.1, B74.2, or B74.2D variant, making them the safe choice for genuine fit and function.
  • How often should I replace my servo horns? — Servo horns typically last through many seasons of use, but should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, cracking, or bending. If you notice any play in your steering response or visible damage to the horns, replacement is recommended. Having spare horns on hand allows immediate repair without waiting for parts to arrive.
  • Can I use aftermarket servo horns instead of genuine Associated parts? — Whilst aftermarket horns may be cheaper, genuine Associated spares are precision-engineered to OEM specifications and guarantee perfect compatibility and performance. Using genuine parts ensures your B74 maintains its handling characteristics and reliability, which is especially important if you race competitively or value precision steering control.
  • What do I need to fit these servo horns to my B74? — Installation typically requires basic tools such as hex keys or screwdrivers, depending on your B74 variant's specific mounting hardware. The horns should slide onto your servo spline and attach with the existing fasteners; no special tools or expertise is required for straightforward replacement during routine maintenance.
