Key Features
- High-Voltage Operation (6.0–8.4V) — Unlike standard servos limited to 6V operation, the CS-5226 HV accepts voltages up to 8.4V, unlocking dramatically improved speed and torque performance that scales directly with your power supply, allowing competitive racers to extract maximum performance from their setups.
- Coreless Motor Technology — The coreless motor design eliminates the iron core found in traditional servo motors, resulting in significantly faster response times, reduced inertia and the ultra-rapid movement essential for precision steering in high-speed RC racing applications.
- Titanium Gear Set — Titanium gears are substantially harder and more durable than conventional steel, providing exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, reduced wear, longer service life and maintained precision through thousands of steering inputs, crucial for competitive driving where consistency matters.
- Full CNC Machined Aluminium Case — Every external component is precision-engineered from aircraft-grade aluminium using computer numerical control manufacturing, ensuring perfect tolerances, superior durability, professional aesthetics and maximum protection of internal components.
- Ball-Raced Construction — Ball bearings throughout the servo's rotating components reduce friction, enable faster movement, improve efficiency and extend mechanical lifespan compared to plain bushings, resulting in smoother, more responsive steering throughout the servo's operational life.
- Water and Dust Resistant Design — Rubber seals protect internal components from moisture, dust and debris, making this servo suitable for outdoor RC racing, challenging weather conditions and muddy terrain without compromising performance or reliability.
- Ultra High Speed and Torque Performance — The combination of coreless motor, high voltage capability and titanium gears delivers class-leading speed (down to 0.07 seconds per 60°) and substantial torque (up to 25.6 kg/cm at 8.4V), providing the responsive control and holding power that serious racers demand.
- Digital Servo Technology — Advanced digital circuitry offers superior precision, programmability options and feedback compared to analogue servos, giving competitive drivers more control over servo behaviour and response characteristics.
Technical Performance
The Corally CS-5226 HV High Speed Servo represents a substantial advancement in servo engineering, combining multiple premium technologies into a compact, lightweight package that weighs just 72 grams. At 6.0V operation, the servo delivers a respectable 0.09 seconds per 60° of movement with 18.3 kg/cm of torque—already impressive performance for any serious RC enthusiast. However, the real performance gains emerge when you utilise the servo's high-voltage capability. Stepping up to 7.4V (a standard two-cell LiPo voltage), speed increases to 0.08 seconds per 60° whilst torque climbs to 22.6 kg/cm. At maximum 8.4V operation, the servo achieves extraordinary 0.07 seconds per 60° speed and peak torque of 25.6 kg/cm, delivering responsiveness that rivals or exceeds exotic racing servos costing considerably more. The coreless motor design is absolutely central to this performance: by eliminating the electromagnetic resistance of an iron core, the motor can accelerate and decelerate far more rapidly, translating directly to sharper steering response and faster course corrections on the track. Titanium gears ensure that this immense speed and torque don't compromise durability—titanium's exceptional strength means the gears resist stripping even under sustained high-speed operation. The ball-raced construction throughout the servo further optimises mechanical efficiency, allowing every ounce of motor power to translate into steering movement rather than being wasted to friction. The full aluminium case, precision-machined on CNC equipment, provides professional-grade protection and aesthetic appeal whilst keeping weight to a minimum. Water and dust resistance makes this servo suitable for all-weather RC car use across the UK, from sunny track days to challenging muddy outdoor racing conditions. The servo uses a standard 25T spline compatible with most RC car steering linkages and accepts universal JR-type connectors with colour-coded leads for straightforward installation. This is not a general-purpose servo—it's a precision racing instrument engineered for drivers who refuse to compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the actual speed and torque difference between 6V, 7.4V and 8.4V operation? — The CS-5226 HV is designed to scale its performance with input voltage. At 6.0V you'll get 0.09 sec/60° and 18.3 kg/cm torque. Increasing to 7.4V (a standard two-cell LiPo) boosts this to 0.08 sec/60° and 22.6 kg/cm—a notable 23% improvement in torque. Pushing to maximum 8.4V delivers 0.07 sec/60° (an additional 12% speed gain) and 25.6 kg/cm torque (another 13% torque increase). For competitive racing, the 8.4V performance is genuinely transformative, providing steering response that's significantly faster than standard servos.
- Can I use this servo with my existing RC car setup? — Yes, provided your radio system and battery can support high-voltage operation. The servo features a universal JR connector and standard 25T spline, making it compatible with virtually any modern RC car. However, to fully exploit its capabilities, you'll need a suitable high-voltage battery (ideally 2S LiPo at 7.4V minimum) and a receiver/radio system that supports the voltage range. Always verify your receiver can handle high-voltage before installing.
- Is the CS-5226 HV suitable for beginners? — Whilst this servo is engineered to the highest standards and boasts exceptional reliability, it's primarily designed for competitive and serious amateur racers rather than complete beginners. The high-voltage capability demands understanding of battery management and compatibility, and the servo's cost reflects its premium racing-grade specification. Beginners might find a simpler, more affordable standard servo adequate whilst learning RC basics, though this servo would serve as an excellent upgrade once you're ready to pursue competitive driving.
- What makes titanium gears worth the extra cost? — Titanium gears are substantially harder, stronger and lighter than conventional steel or plastic alternatives, offering three critical advantages: first, they resist stripping even under the extreme stresses of high-speed, high-torque racing; second, they wear much more slowly, meaning your servo maintains consistent precision lap after lap and season after season; third, their light weight contributes to the overall performance and efficiency of your RC car's steering system. For competitive drivers, titanium gears eliminate a potential point of failure and ensure your servo remains reliably responsive throughout demanding race schedules.
- How does the coreless motor technology benefit performance? — Traditional servo motors use an iron core wound with electromagnetic coils, but this core creates resistance that slows acceleration and deceleration. The coreless design removes this iron core entirely, allowing the motor to respond far more rapidly to control inputs. In practical terms, you'll notice snappier steering response, faster course corrections and more precise control during tight turns—precisely what competitive RC racers need. This technology is standard in premium racing servos but notably absent from budget alternatives.
- Is this servo waterproof? — The CS-5226 HV features water and dust resistant construction with rubber seals protecting internal components from moisture and debris. Whilst not rated as fully waterproof for submersion, the resistance rating makes it suitable for outdoor RC racing in wet conditions, muddy terrain and damp weather common across the UK. Avoid intentional water immersion, but normal outdoor use in challenging conditions is well within the servo's design parameters.
- What type of RC car is this servo best suited for? — This servo excels in any high-performance RC car where steering precision and speed matter—touring cars, buggies, truggy designs and short-course trucks all benefit greatly from the CS-5226 HV's capabilities. It's particularly popular among competitive racers using ready to run RC models or custom builds where steering response directly impacts race times. Monster trucks and crawlers, which demand extreme torque but not high speed, might benefit more from standard servo alternatives.
