Technical Performance
The RC10B7 HD CVA Bone is engineered from durable materials selected to withstand the demanding forces present in 1/10 scale racing and recreational driving. CVA bones, also known as transmission bones or drive shafts couplings, are critical components that transfer power from the transmission to the differential assembly, meaning they must be exceptionally robust and precisely manufactured. The heavy-duty specification ensures that this component can handle the torque generated by brushless motors commonly used in modern RC10B7 builds, as well as the shock loads experienced during jumps, landings, and aggressive cornering. The 69mm length has been calculated by Team Associated engineers to provide optimal drivetrain geometry for the RC10B7 platform, ensuring that the drivetrain operates at the correct angles and spacing for maximum efficiency and longevity. Whether you're running a high-torque brushless motor on 3S or 4S LiPo batteries typical of competitive RC buggy racing, or using a standard motor setup for recreational bashing, this component will handle the power transfer with reliability and precision that keeps your RC car UK-ready and dependable.

- What does CVA Bone mean and why is it important? — CVA stands for constant velocity axle, and the CVA bone is the coupling component that connects the transmission output to the rear axle assembly. It's crucial for transferring engine power smoothly to the wheels whilst allowing the suspension to move freely, making it one of the most important drivetrain components on your RC buggy.
- How do I know if my CVA bone needs replacing? — Signs that your CVA bone may need replacement include visible cracks or damage, unusual grinding noises during acceleration, inconsistent power delivery, or if you've recently crashed your RC buggy and damaged the drivetrain. Regular inspection during routine maintenance can identify wear before it becomes a problem.
- What is the difference between standard and HD CVA bones? — The HD (heavy-duty) designation indicates this component is manufactured from reinforced materials designed to withstand higher stresses and more aggressive use than standard versions, making it ideal for competitive racing where reliability is paramount.
