Overview
The Team Associated B64 Aluminium Caster Blocks in 13-degree configuration represent a precision upgrade component designed for serious RC enthusiasts running the Team Associated B64 platform. These high-quality suspension components are engineered to give you precise control over your RC car's handling characteristics, making them an essential tuning tool for competitive racers and dedicated hobbyists across the UK RC community. Whether you're competing in organised RC events or simply want to optimise your B64 performance, these caster blocks offer the flexibility to dial in your suspension geometry exactly as you need it.
Caster angle is one of the most fundamental suspension settings in RC car setup, influencing everything from how your car enters and exits corners to its straight-line stability and overall steering response. The 13-degree option provided in these blocks represents a commonly used baseline setting that delivers balanced handling characteristics suitable for a wide range of track conditions and driving styles. By choosing between different caster block angles—7-degree, 10-degree, or 13-degree—you gain control options that allow you to fine-tune your suspension for smoother tracks, rougher surfaces, high-grip conditions, or lower-grip environments, making this an indispensable upgrade for any serious RC car UK racer.
Team Associated has manufactured these caster blocks from premium-grade aluminium, finished in a professional black anodised coating that provides both durability and visual appeal. These are genuine Team Associated parts manufactured to the same exacting standards as the rest of the B64 platform, ensuring perfect fitment and reliable performance through countless hours of running and tuning.
Key Features
- 13-degree caster angle — This setting is specifically engineered to make your car's suspension more active and responsive, making it the ideal choice when running on bumpy track surfaces or lower-grip conditions where you need maximum suspension articulation and feedback through the steering.
- Premium aluminium construction — Machined from high-grade aluminium material, these caster blocks provide exceptional strength-to-weight ratio whilst remaining lightweight enough to minimise unsprung weight on your RC buggy, contributing to better overall handling and responsiveness.
- Black anodised finish — The professional black finish not only looks fantastic on your B64, but the anodising process provides a hard-wearing protective layer that resists corrosion and extends the lifespan of these components through regular use and exposure to track conditions.
- Affects steering feel and turn-in — These caster blocks mounted at the front suspension directly influence initial turn-in response, giving you the ability to dial in the exact steering characteristics you prefer, whether you want aggressive turn-in or a more progressive steering feel.
- Improves straight-line stability — The 13-degree angle works to enhance your car's straight-line stability, helping you maintain consistent speed through high-speed sections and reducing the need for constant steering corrections during acceleration and braking.
- Multiple angle options available — Team Associated offers three different caster angles in their B64 range, allowing you to select the setting that best matches your track conditions: 7-degree for smooth high-grip surfaces, 10-degree for a smooth neutral feel, or 13-degree for bumpy lower-grip tracks.
- Precision-engineered fitment — As genuine Team Associated parts designed specifically for the B64 platform, these caster blocks offer perfect fitment without modification, ensuring consistent performance and reliability from the moment you install them.
- Essential tuning component — Understanding and adjusting caster angle is a fundamental aspect of RC car tuning, and having dedicated aluminium caster blocks allows you to make precise adjustments that significantly impact your car's performance characteristics and handling balance.
Technical Performance
Caster angle represents the forward or backward tilt of the steering axis when viewed from the side of your RC car. In the Team Associated B64 range, the 13-degree setting positions the steering axis to create a more active suspension response, making these blocks ideal for drivers who need enhanced suspension articulation on challenging track surfaces. The 13-degree angle is considered a commonly used baseline setting across the competitive RC racing community in the UK and internationally, offering balanced handling that works well across various conditions whilst remaining forgiving enough for drivers still developing their setup skills. When mounted at the front suspension, caster angle influences the amount of self-centering action in your steering, the breakaway characteristics as you enter corners, and how your car recovers stability during acceleration. The aluminium construction ensures these blocks maintain their precise geometry through extended use without bending or deforming, whilst remaining significantly lighter than alternative plastic options. Each degree of caster adjustment creates noticeable changes in handling character, making these precision components essential for any serious RC car UK competitor or dedicated tuner looking to extract maximum performance from their B64 platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does caster angle do on an RC car? — Caster angle affects how your RC car's steering feels, its initial turn-in response, and straight-line stability. A higher caster angle like 13-degrees makes the suspension more active and responsive, which is particularly beneficial on bumpy or lower-grip track surfaces where you need maximum suspension articulation. The angle determines how much the steering axis tilts forward or backward, which in turn influences self-centering action and how your car tracks through corners.
- Is the 13-degree setting suitable for beginners? — The 13-degree caster angle is described as a commonly used baseline for balanced handling, making it a good choice for drivers across all skill levels who want a responsive suspension setup. If you're new to RC tuning, 13-degrees provides predictable handling characteristics that work well across various track conditions. As you develop your skills and learn how different caster angles affect your car's performance, you can experiment with the 7-degree option for smoother tracks or the 10-degree option for more neutral handling.
- Which caster angle should I choose for my track conditions? — Team Associated offers three caster angles for the B64 platform. Choose 7-degrees if you're running on smooth, high-grip surfaces, as this keeps your car flatter and more stable. Select 10-degrees for a smooth, neutral feel that works as an intermediate option. The 13-degree option provided here makes your suspension more active and is specifically recommended for bumpy or lower-grip track surfaces where you need maximum suspension responsiveness and articulation.
- Will these caster blocks fit my B64? — These aluminium caster blocks are designed specifically for the Team Associated B64 platform and are fully compatible with the RC10B64D, RC10B64, and RC10B64 Club Racer models. Being genuine Team Associated components, they offer perfect fitment without requiring any modification.
- What is the difference between the 7-degree, 10-degree, and 13-degree options? — The primary difference between these caster angles is how actively they respond to bumps and how much steering feel they provide. The 7-degree option keeps your car flatter and is best for smooth, high-grip surfaces. The 10-degree option offers a smooth, neutral feel suitable for general-purpose use. The 13-degree option makes your suspension noticeably more active, making it ideal for rougher tracks or lower-grip conditions where you need responsive suspension that communicates what's happening at the tyres.
- Are these better than plastic caster blocks? — Aluminium caster blocks offer superior durability and maintain their precise geometry through extended use without bending or deforming, unlike plastic alternatives. The aluminium construction also provides a weight advantage compared to some alternatives, helping to minimise unsprung weight and improve overall handling responsiveness of your RC car.
