Overview

The Team Associated B6 Series Arm Mount Inserts 1/0.5 (AS92011) are precision suspension tuning components designed for competitive RC car racers and serious hobbyists in the UK who demand fine-grained geometry adjustments. These black plastic inserts represent a significant upgrade to your suspension setup, allowing you to dial in handling characteristics with unprecedented precision. Whether you're running an RC10B6, RC10B6.2D, RC10B64D or any other compatible B-series chassis, these inserts unlock new suspension tuning possibilities that were previously unavailable on the standard 1.0-step adjustment grid.

If you've ever felt frustrated with suspension adjustments that jumped from one setting to the next with no middle ground, these 1/0.5 inserts are the solution you've been waiting for. They fill the gaps in your adjustment range, giving you a 0.5-step option between the traditional 1.0 increments. For RC buggy racers, off-road competitors and anyone serious about optimising their RC car's performance on the track or in the dirt, this is an essential tuning tool that brings your setup capabilities closer to professional-level precision.

RC Model Shop stocks this Team Associated genuine part for rapid UK delivery. Whether you race competitively or simply want to extract maximum performance from your RC buggy or truck, these arm mount inserts deliver the control you need. With eight inserts per pack, you'll have everything required to experiment with new geometry configurations and discover the perfect setup for your driving style.

Key Features

  • 0.5-Step Geometry Tuning — These inserts provide a 0.5-degree adjustment option between existing 1.0-degree increments, allowing you to fill in the blanks on your suspension adjustment grid and achieve finer handling control than ever before. This is particularly valuable when you're dialling in the last fraction of performance from your RC car.
  • Dual Offset Capability in Standard Orientation — The inserts hold the hinge pin 1 degree (0.7 millimetres) offset UP and 0.5 degree (0.35 millimetres) offset IN or OUT, giving you two adjustment axes in a single orientation. This flexibility means you can tune both ride height and toe-in/out position simultaneously.
  • Rotatable Design for Additional Settings — When rotated sideways, these inserts deliver a completely different geometry: 1 degree OUT and 0.5 degree UP or DOWN. This dual-orientation design essentially doubles your tuning options from a single set of inserts, maximising the value and versatility of this upgrade.
  • Type 1 and Type 2 Cavity Design — The inserts feature two different cavity types that must be installed in mirrored orientation to maintain perfect chassis symmetry. This design ensures your RC car maintains balanced handling characteristics and prevents unwanted handling quirks caused by asymmetrical geometry.
  • Black Plastic Construction — Moulded from durable black plastic, these inserts are lightweight yet robust enough for serious racing use. The material resists wear and maintains dimensional stability even after repeated installation and removal cycles.
  • Eight Inserts Per Pack — Each package includes eight inserts, providing enough components to experiment with different settings on both sides of the chassis and maintain spare components for future adjustments or replacements.

Technical Performance

The AS92011 arm mount inserts represent advanced suspension engineering for 1/10-scale RC buggies and off-road trucks. These components work in conjunction with your existing arm mount system, allowing you to adjust the critical geometric parameters that define how your RC car handles on track. The hinge pin offset specifications—precisely 1 degree (0.7 millimetres) in one axis and 0.5 degree (0.35 millimetres) in the other—are engineered to provide measurable changes in handling behaviour without over-constraining your setup range. The dual-orientation capability means a single insert type can deliver four distinct geometric configurations depending on how it's installed and rotated. Type 1 and Type 2 cavities must be carefully matched during installation; the included orientation chart serves as a master reference to ensure you're installing them correctly and symmetrically. This attention to detail in manufacturing and design philosophy is what sets Team Associated products apart in the competitive RC racing community. The black plastic material offers excellent durability for repeated suspension work whilst keeping weight to an absolute minimum—critical considerations for 1/10-scale competition machines where every gram and millimetre matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What RC cars are these arm mount inserts compatible with? — The AS92011 inserts are compatible with the entire Team Associated B6 family including the RC10B6, RC10B6 Club Racer, RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10B6.1DL, RC10B6.2, RC10B6.2D, RC10B6D, RC10B64, RC10B64 Club Racer, RC10B64D, RC10B74, RC10SC6.1 and RC10T6.1. If you own any modern Team Associated B-series buggy or truck, these inserts will work with your chassis.
  • How do arm mount inserts affect my RC car's handling? — Arm mount inserts adjust the hinge pin height and toe-in/out geometry of your RC car's suspension. Changing these parameters alters how the suspension arms move relative to the chassis, which directly affects steering response, cornering grip, mid-corner stability and overall handling balance. With these 0.5-step inserts, you can fine-tune these characteristics in smaller increments than previously possible with standard 1.0-step inserts.
  • What is the difference between the standard 1.0 inserts and these 1/0.5 inserts? — Standard 1.0-step inserts provide adjustment in 1-degree increments only. The 1/0.5 inserts add intermediate 0.5-degree options between these increments, essentially doubling the number of setup configurations available within the same adjustment range. This allows racers to find more precise geometry sweet spots for their specific track conditions and driving style.
  • Do I need special tools to install these arm mount inserts? — Installation of arm mount inserts requires basic RC tools and mechanical knowledge. You'll need to remove your suspension arms and install the inserts in the designated cavities. Team Associated provides an orientation chart showing correct installation for Type 1 and Type 2 cavities—careful attention to this chart is essential to maintain chassis symmetry.
  • Will these inserts improve my lap times? — The potential for lap time improvement depends on your current setup and driving skill. If your chassis geometry is currently sub-optimal, fine-tuning with these inserts could unlock noticeable performance gains. However, they're best used as part of a systematic setup approach where you test different configurations and evaluate the results on your specific track or terrain.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — Arm mount inserts are advanced tuning components designed for racers and experienced hobbyists who understand suspension geometry and have some setup experience. Beginners may not immediately appreciate the benefits of 0.5-step tuning; however, if you own a Team Associated B-series RC car and plan to develop your racing skills, these inserts represent a worthwhile investment that you'll grow into.
  • How many inserts do I need for my RC car? — A typical RC buggy or truck requires multiple inserts across both front and rear suspension arms. The eight inserts per pack should provide enough components for one complete chassis setup with spares, though your specific car may require adjustment. Consult your chassis manual for exact quantities and positions.
