The Team Associated 13mm Rear Shock Springs in Blue are essential suspension components designed for racers and enthusiasts who demand precise handling control from their RC buggies and trucks. These OEM springs are engineered to work seamlessly with Team Associated's renowned 13mm rear shock applications, offering a consistent 2.2 lb/in spring rate that provides predictable and repeatable performance across a wide range of track conditions. Whether you're competing at the highest level or enjoying weekend bashing with your RC car UK favourite, these springs allow you to fine-tune your vehicle's suspension geometry with confidence.
If you're serious about optimising your RC off-road vehicle's performance, suspension setup is absolutely critical. The springs you choose directly impact how your buggy or truck responds to acceleration, braking, cornering and rough terrain. Team Associated has built their reputation on precision engineering and quality control, and these 13mm rear shock springs are no exception. The clearly marked specifications—L61 length, 10.0T wire gauge, and 1.2D diameter—make it simple to identify exactly which springs you're installing and compare them with other rates in the Team Associated spring range. This eliminates guesswork and helps you make confident, repeatable changes to your setup as you dial in the perfect balance between grip and stability.
These springs are specifically engineered for Team Associated competition buggies and trucks, including the RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D models. Compatible with 13mm rear shock applications, they represent genuine OEM components backed by the manufacturer's engineering expertise and quality assurance. For anyone looking to upgrade or replace worn springs on their brushless RC buggy or truck, these springs deliver the reliability and performance you expect from Team Associated.

Technical Performance
The Team Associated 13mm Rear Shock Springs deliver professional-grade suspension tuning capability for serious RC racers and enthusiasts. The 2.2 lb/in spring rate has been engineered to provide a balanced platform for both grip and stability, making these springs suitable for a wide range of track conditions from high-traction indoor carpets to outdoor dirt and asphalt surfaces. The springs feature a wire gauge specification of 10.0T and a diameter of 1.2D, with an overall length of L61, which work together to provide the precise spring characteristics Team Associated engineers have determined optimal for their 13mm rear shock designs. These dimensions are critical—they determine not just the spring rate itself, but the consistency of that rate throughout the compression range, which directly affects your vehicle's handling predictability during hard cornering, acceleration and braking. The blue colour coding is an industry-standard indicator system that allows you to quickly identify the spring rate in your setup and compare it against other available rates in the Team Associated catalogue. Built to OEM standards using quality materials, these springs will maintain their characteristics across numerous charging cycles and racing sessions, providing consistent performance over time. Whether you're competing in RC buggy UK events or simply pushing your vehicle to its limits on the local track, these springs form an essential part of a well-tuned suspension system that responds consistently to driver inputs and track demands.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Team Associated RC models are these springs compatible with? — These 13mm rear shock springs are specifically designed for the RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D models. All of these are competitive off-road buggies that use 13mm rear shock applications as part of their suspension system.
- What does the 2.2 lb/in spring rate mean, and how does it affect my RC buggy's performance? — The spring rate indicates how much force is required to compress the spring a certain distance. A 2.2 lb/in rate is considered relatively soft, which means it will compress more easily under load. This softer rate typically provides more traction on rough or bumpy tracks because the suspension can follow terrain variations more readily. If you find your buggy bouncing excessively or losing traction, you might need a stiffer spring; conversely, if it feels too harsh and stiff, a softer rate would improve compliance.
- How do I know which spring rate I currently have installed, and how does it compare to other Team Associated springs? — The blue colour coding on these springs indicates the 2.2 lb/in rate according to Team Associated's colour-coding system. The clearly marked L61, 10.0T, and 1.2D specifications provide detailed reference information for comparing against other spring rates in the Team Associated range. Team Associated publishes a spring colour code guide (referenced in the manufacturer documentation) that shows the complete range of available rates, making it simple to identify upgrades or alternative rates for fine-tuning.
- Are these OEM genuine parts, and how do I know they're authentic? — Yes, these are genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) components directly from Team Associated. The model number AS91950 and the UPC code 784695919501 are official identifiers that guarantee authenticity. Purchasing from an authorised Team Associated retailer like RC Model Shop ensures you receive genuine components backed by the manufacturer's quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Do I need tools or special equipment to install these springs on my RC buggy? — Spring installation typically requires basic suspension tools available in most RC maintenance kits, including possibly a spring compressor depending on your shock design. Refer to your specific vehicle's assembly manual for detailed installation instructions. If you're unsure about installation, our team at RC Model Shop is happy to provide guidance or assistance.
- Can I use these springs on a different Team Associated model than the ones listed? — These springs are engineered specifically for the listed models' 13mm rear shock applications. While they may fit physically on other vehicles with 13mm rear shocks, we recommend using the springs specified by Team Associated for your particular model to ensure optimal performance and suspension geometry. Mixing spring rates outside manufacturer recommendations can negatively impact handling balance.
