Overview
The ARRMA CVD Driveshaft 71mm (2) Z-ARA-2669 is an essential replacement or upgrade component for RC enthusiasts maintaining their ARRMA RC cars and trucks. CVD driveshafts are a critical part of any modern RC vehicle's drivetrain, responsible for transferring power from the transmission to the wheels whilst allowing for suspension movement and articulation. This genuine ARRMA part ensures optimal performance, reliability and longevity of your RC model, whether you're a weekend basher enjoying casual off-road RC fun or a more serious hobbyist who demands precision engineering and durability.
If you've damaged a driveshaft during intense bashing sessions, or you're simply performing routine maintenance on your RC car or truck, having quality replacement driveshafts on hand is essential for keeping your model in peak condition. The 71mm length makes this component suitable for specific ARRMA models, and purchasing genuine OEM parts like this ensures compatibility and performance that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot match. For RC enthusiasts across the UK looking for reliable, authentic ARRMA parts, this driveshaft represents excellent value and peace of mind.
With a customer rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars, the ARRMA CVD Driveshaft 71mm has proven itself to be a trusted choice amongst the RC community. Whether you're replacing worn components or building a spare parts collection, this two-pack gives you the redundancy needed to keep your RC adventures going without interruption.
Key Features
- CVD Design — Constant Velocity Driveshaft technology allows smooth power delivery at any suspension angle, maintaining consistent torque transfer whether your RC vehicle is climbing, diving or cornering at speed. This engineering ensures better handling, reduced wear on drivetrain components and improved overall vehicle control compared to older dogbone designs.
- 71mm Length — This specific length measurement is engineered for precise fitment on designated ARRMA models, ensuring proper weight distribution, handling characteristics and suspension geometry. Using the correct length driveshaft is critical for maintaining your vehicle's intended performance envelope.
- Two-Pack Configuration — You receive a pair of driveshafts, allowing you to replace both front and rear units simultaneously or maintain spares for quick field repairs during RC bashing sessions or competition events.
- Genuine ARRMA Component — This is an authentic OEM part manufactured to ARRMA's exacting quality standards, guaranteeing compatibility with your ARRMA RC model and delivering the performance and durability the brand is recognised for across the RC hobby world.
- Proven Reliability — The 4.3 out of 5 customer rating demonstrates that this component has earned trust amongst ARRMA users who depend on reliable parts to keep their RC vehicles running smoothly race after race, bash after bash.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA CVD Driveshaft 71mm represents modern driveshaft engineering optimised for performance RC vehicles. CVD (Constant Velocity) driveshafts utilise advanced joint design to maintain equal rotational speed regardless of suspension articulation angle, a significant advantage over traditional designs. The 71mm length specification is critical for proper vehicle geometry and suspension function on compatible ARRMA platforms. The two-pack inclusion means you're prepared for both front and rear installation, providing complete drivetrain coverage. Whether you're running high-torque brushless motors on 3S or 4S LiPo batteries in your RC buggy, truck or other ARRMA model, having reliable driveshafts is absolutely essential for transmitting that power to the wheels efficiently. The engineering and build quality of genuine ARRMA components ensures they withstand the punishment of off-road RC bashing whilst maintaining precision fitment and performance. For UK RC enthusiasts pushing their vehicles to the limit, whether on track, trail or open terrain, investing in quality replacement driveshafts as preventative maintenance makes excellent sense and prevents unexpected downtime when a component fails during critical moments.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA RC models is the CVD Driveshaft 71mm compatible with? — The 71mm length is engineered for specific ARRMA platforms. We recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting our RC specialists to confirm compatibility with your specific model, as ARRMA manufactures driveshafts in various lengths for different vehicles.
- How often should I replace my RC driveshafts? — Driveshaft lifespan depends heavily on driving intensity, terrain and maintenance. High-speed bashing on rocky terrain will wear components faster than gentle trail driving. Inspect driveshafts regularly for bending, cracking or play in the CV joints. Replace immediately if damage is visible or if you notice vibration, clicking sounds or loss of traction.
- Can I use these driveshafts as an upgrade to standard parts? — These are OEM ARRMA components designed to meet the manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle. If your model originally came with these driveshafts, replacements maintain original performance. Some users upgrade from older designs to CVD technology for improved handling and durability benefits.
- What's the difference between CVD and dogbone driveshafts? — CVD (Constant Velocity) driveshafts like these maintain consistent power delivery at any suspension angle using advanced joint engineering, whilst older dogbone-style driveshafts can cause slight variations in torque delivery when suspended at extreme angles. CVD design provides smoother handling, reduced drivetrain stress and better suspension performance.
- Do I need any tools to install these driveshafts? — Installation typically requires basic RC tools including hex wrenches and possibly a small hammer or mallet. Consult your ARRMA vehicle manual for specific installation instructions, torque specifications and the correct assembly sequence to ensure proper fitment.
- Why buy two driveshafts? — The two-pack allows you to replace both front and rear units simultaneously, ensuring matched wear characteristics across your vehicle's drivetrain. Alternatively, you can keep a spare set for field repairs, getting you back in action quickly during RC outings without waiting for replacement parts.
