Overview
The Team Associated FT Silicone Shock 35WT (425cSt) 4oz/118ml is an essential maintenance fluid for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision damping control. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your 1/10 scale buggy, a club driver preparing for the weekend, or an RC car hobbyist who takes shock setup seriously, this economical bottle delivers dependable performance without breaking the bank. Team Associated's Factory Team silicone shock fluid is recognised as one of the most reliable shock oils available for RC vehicles, and this super-sized 4oz format makes it the practical choice for workshop rebuilds, trackside adjustments, and regular maintenance.
Shock fluid viscosity is critical to RC car performance—it directly affects how your suspension responds to bumps, jumps, and cornering forces. The 35wt rating (425cSt) sits in Team Associated's most popular range, making it ideal for a wide variety of RC models and driving conditions. What sets this product apart is the exceptional value proposition: Team Associated doubled the bottle size without doubling the price, meaning you get twice the fluid for your money compared to the standard smaller format. This makes it the smart choice for serious RC car builders and tuners who go through shock fluid regularly during the season.
If you run Team Associated RC cars, or any RC vehicle that uses silicone shock fluid, this 118ml bottle should be in your pit bag. The consistent viscosity and proven formula ensure your shocks perform predictably lap after lap, whether you're bashing at the local club track or competing at a national event. Order from RC Model Shop today and keep your RC suspension dialled in perfectly.

Technical Performance
Silicone shock fluid is the lifeblood of precision RC suspension tuning. The 35wt viscosity rating at 425cSt provides a balanced damping profile that suits a wide variety of RC cars, from high-speed buggies to precision touring cars and rock crawlers. Thicker fluids (higher numbers like 50wt, 60wt) slow down shock movement and provide more resistance, whilst thinner fluids (lower numbers like 20wt, 25wt) allow faster suspension response. The 35wt sits right in the sweet spot for most drivers, offering enough damping to control aggressive driving without being so stiff that the suspension becomes unpredictable on rough terrain. Team Associated's formulation ensures the viscosity remains stable across a range of temperatures, so your shocks perform the same whether you're racing indoors in winter or at a summer outdoor track event. The 118ml bottle contains approximately 4 ounces of pure silicone fluid, enough for multiple complete shock rebuilds or numerous trackside top-ups throughout a racing season. This is genuine Factory Team fluid, engineered to exacting standards and trusted by Team Associated drivers worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity shock fluid should I use for my RC car? — Shock fluid viscosity depends on your vehicle type, driving style, and track conditions. Team Associated's 35wt (425cSt) is one of the most popular ratings and works well across a range of RC cars. If your shocks feel too stiff, try a thinner fluid like 25wt; if they feel too soft and mushy, try a thicker fluid like 50wt. Start with 35wt if you're unsure—it's the industry standard for a reason.
- How often should I change my shock fluid? — For serious racers and club drivers, shock fluid should be replaced every few months or whenever it becomes contaminated with dirt or water. Even casual weekend bashers benefit from fresh fluid at least once or twice a year. Regular fluid changes ensure consistent damping performance and extend shock life.
- Is this shock fluid compatible with my RC car? — This Team Associated FT Silicone Shock Oil works with any RC vehicle that uses standard silicone shock fluid, including all Team Associated models (RC8B4, B6.4, B74.2, RC10 Series and others), as well as many other brands' RC cars that use compatible shock designs. If your shocks accept silicone fluid, this will work.
- Why is 4oz such a good size? — Team Associated doubled the standard bottle size without doubling the price, making the 118ml format exceptional value. You get enough fluid for multiple shock rebuilds or an entire season of trackside top-ups without paying the premium you'd normally expect for larger quantities. It's the practical size for serious RC enthusiasts who maintain their own vehicles.
- What makes Team Associated shock fluid different from other brands? — Team Associated is a world-renowned RC manufacturer with decades of racing heritage. Their Factory Team shock fluid is engineered specifically for precision damping and consistency. It maintains stable viscosity across temperature ranges and is formulated to work optimally with Team Associated shocks, though it's compatible with most shock designs.
- Can beginners use this shock fluid? — Absolutely. Whilst shock tuning is an advanced skill, any RC enthusiast from beginner to professional can benefit from using quality shock fluid. Beginners should start with the factory-recommended viscosity for their specific model, which is usually 35wt or similar. As you progress and learn your car's handling characteristics, you can experiment with different viscosities to dial in performance.
